Chinese Journal of Clinical Laboratory Science 2006;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the significance of MMP-3 and IL-15 in the patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS).Methods The serum levels of MMP-3,IL-15,TNF-? and CRP of 45 patients with AS and 31 healthy controls were tested by sandwich ELISA.The results between the 2 groups were compared each other. Results Significantly increased serum levels of MMP-3,TNF-? and CRP were found in AS patients as compared to those in healthy controls(P
4.Treatment of Graves Hyperthyroidism by Jiakangling Capsule Combined with Reduction of 131I: an Efficacy Observation.
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2016;36(1):59-62
OBJECTIVETo observe the clinical efficacy of Jiakangling Capsule (JC) combined with reduction of 1311 in treatment of Graves hyperthyroidism.
METHODSTotally 387 Graves hyperthyroidism patients were randomly assigned to the treatment group (200 cases) and the control group (187 cases). Patients in the treatment group took JC combined with reduction of 131I. The 131I dosage per gram of thyroid tissue was 50-80 microCi. They additionally took JC one week after taking 1311 for one consecutive month. Patients in the control group took 131 routinely as one disposable treatment. The 131I dosage per gram of thyroid tissue was 70-120 microCi, without using JC or other anti-thyroid drugs. All patients were reexamined after 24-month treatment. Whether hyperthyroidism was cured, incurred, or permanent was observed. Efficacies of thyroglobulin antibody (TGAb) and thyroid microsome antibody (TMAb) were compared between the two groups.
RESULTSCompared with the control group, the incurred ratio increased in the treatment group [3.2% (6/187) vs. 16.0% (32/200), P < 0.01], the incurred ratio of strong positive TGAb and TMAb patients increased [3.5% (2/57) vs. 27.1% (16/59), P < 0.01], the permanent hypothyroidism ratio decreased [21.1% (12/57) vs. 3.4% (2/59), P < 0.05 ].
CONCLUSIONJC combined with reduction of 1311 was superior in treating Graves hyperthyroidism induced permanent hypothyroidism than routine 1311 treatment, especially for strong positive TGAb and TMAb patients.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2007;13(1):68-69
ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of early intervention on shoulder pain in patients with hemiplegia after stroke. MethodsStroke patients were treated with bedside physical therapy on the shoulder 7 d after onset. They were assessed with short-form McGill pain questionnaire and Fugl-Meyer assessment of upper extremity before and 40 d after treatment. ResultsThe score of MPQ in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group, while the score of FMA was significantly higher(P<0.01). ConclusionEarly intervention can reduce the pain and improve the function of the shoulder in patients with shoulder pain after stroke.

Journal of International Oncology 2016;43(7):538-540
Matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)plays an important role in the degradation of extracellular matrix components, which is crucial for tumor growth, invasion and metastasis. As one with the largest relative molecular mass in MMP family,MMP-9 takes part in the generation and progression of colorectal cancer. Research shows that MMP-9 can be used for the early diagnosis of colorectal cancer. The expression levels of MMP-9 in tissue and plasma are negatively correlated with prognosis of the postoperative patients with colorectal cancer. In addition, targeted therapy drugs will be designed on the basis of MMP-9 expression increased in colorectal cancer.

Objective To observe expression changes of the telomeric repeat binding factor 2 (TRF2) in mouse cortical neurons during aging and its biological significance. Methods TRF2 expression in cortical neurons of young (2 months) and old (20 months) C57BL/6J mice were tested by Western blot and real time PCR.pcDNA-TRF2 was transfected in embryonal cortical neurons.Neurons viability was determined by MTT after exposure to camptothecin for 16 h.Results TRF2 expression decreased significantly in cortical neurons in old mice than that in young mice. After exposure to camptothecin for 16 h,(75.4±2.6) % of pcDNA TRF2 transfected neurons were viable and the transfection rate was higher in pcDNA-TRF2 transfected neurons than in control transfected neurons [(32.6 ± 9.3) %] (t =22.85,P < 0.05).Conclusions TRF2 expression decreases significantly in aging mouse, downregulation of TRF2 may participate in neurons aging, and TRF2 overexpression may be a potential therapeutic target against neurodegeneration.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2013;(7):580-582
Objective Combined with the patients arthritis symptoms and signs,TCM syndrome differentiation of rheumatoid arthritis was undertaken to investigate TCM syndrome distribution. Methods A total of 656 patients of rheumatoid arthritis from October 1st 2010 to January 1st 2012 hospitalized in Shandong Qingdao Combine Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine hospital were untaken TCM syndrome differentiation according to their symptoms and signs. Results The main syndromes of rheumatoid arthritis patients were cold-dampness blockage syndrome and liver and kidney deficiency syndrome, followed by cold-wind blockage syndrome, deficiency of Qi and blood syndrome, and dampness-heat blockage syndrome. The highest scores of ESR and C reactive protein appeared in dampness-heat blockage syndrome group, with ESR being (56.23 ± 13.87) ram/h,CRP being (69.49± 21.56) mg/L.These values showed significant difference than other syndrome group (P < 0.05).There was no significant difference of rheumatoid factor, immunoglobulin IgG,IgA,IgM values among these syndrome groups (P>0.05).Comparison of age, course of disease showed the liver and kidney deficiency syndrome group (age was 59.3± 12.15,duration was 7.98 ± 3.76)and Qi and blood deficiency syndrome group (age was 52.5± 11.5,duration was 6.56±3.12) were significant higher than cold-dampness blockage syndrome,damp-heat blockage syndrome group and cold-wind blockage syndrome group with the age of (46.2± 11.12) and (45.8± 11.60),(43.5± 12.50) respectively and course of (5.56±2.76),(5.78±2.98),(5.12±2.32) respectively (P<0.05).Conclusion The main TCM syndromes of rheumatoid arthritis patients in Qingdao area were cold-dampness syndrome, liver and kidney deficiency syndrome, followed by cold-wind blockage sydrome,Qi and blood deficiency syndrome,damp-heat blockage syndrome.Among all syndromes, relatively high age and disease course of patients appeared in liver and kidney deficiency syndrome and Qi and blood deficiency syndrome.

Objective To study the components of Forsythia suspensa in stalks and leaves, and compare the content between the crude-sun-cured and the steam-sun-cured. Methods The components and content in stalks and leaves to fruits of Forsythia suspensa were compared by RP-HPLC. Results There were some same active components in stalks, leaves and fruits, and the steam-sun-cured had higher content. Conclusion The steam-sun-cured stalks and leaves of Forsythia suspensa could be used to extract components and develop the tea.
