Fifty three of normogravid - normotensive women who subsequently developed pregnancy - included hypertension demonstrated an increase in diastolic blood pressure at least 20 mmHg when turned from the lateral recumbent to the supine position, between twenty eight and thirty six weeks of gestation. Conversely 95.8% percent of women who did not demonstrate such a rise in diastolic blood pressure when turned to supine position did not become hypertensive during that pregnancy. The results demonstrated the high validity of this method as follow: the sensivity of predictive value: 65%. The specificity of predictive value: 93%, the positive predictive value: 53%, the negative predictive value: 96%.

Center for the trauma and orthopady treated 200 cases of foot deformity in which 1,500 cases received operations. Most of them were congenital club foot (70%) followed by club food due to the polio fever(20%) due to the brain paralysis (5%) and due to arthrogrip ossis (5%). The orthopadic equipments were applied for 35 cases. The equipment was used within 5 weeks and continuously fixed by gypsum up to 3 months from the day of operation.

Studying 338 new onset diabetic patients for 2 years, aged 30 to 69 years, were treated at Bach Mai Hospital from February to December 2004. All the patients have clinical examination and blood urine laboratory tests as well as vascular investigations. Results showed that characteristics of new onset type 2 diabetic patients as follow: BMI index is in normal range (22.92  2.66), however the waist/hip index is high (0.89  0.069). 22.6% of patients with type 2 diabetic are hypertensive. All the patients had indices above normal levels such as the fasting glycemia, after meal glycemia, HbA1c, serum cholesterol and triglyceride. At the Department of Allergy and Clinical immunology of Bach Mai Hospital from the year 1981 – 2003, study was performed in vivo on 1.728 patients of drug allergy and a control group of 143 healthy students without allergic history. Results showed that the positive rate of mastocyte degenerative reaction was 81.2%, of the test of lymphocyte transformation was 76.2%, applicated skin test was 66.7%. The highly accurate test such as the total IgE quantification and the determination of the number of thrombocyte in the forth of T lymphocyte were recommended for complementing, the diagnosis and for minotring the treatment of drug allergy. Methyl-prednisolon, Dimedron, vitamin C and glucose solution were the main medication for allergic control. Patients with Stevens-Johnson and Lyell syndromes required special cares such as for burn, preliminary good results were given for 100% of patients. Mean duration of the course of treatment got 9.6 6.8 days and for Stevens-Johnson syndrome 16.1  9.5 days.
