1.The relation between serum SCC levels and the disease stages of the patients with squamous cell cervical cancer
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2004;303(10):55-60
Objective: To evaluate the prognostic value of serum squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) antigen in cervical cancer patients. Serum SCC levels were measured in 222 cervical cancer patients, and were evaluated by statistical analysis. Results: 69.3% patients had serum SCC level >2µg/L and 25.2% had serum SCC level >10µg/L. The increase of serum SCC level is related to age, disease stages and could be a significant prognostic factor in cervical cancer

2.Bronchial squamous cell carcinoma
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2002;277(10):45-49
One hundred and nine patients with squamous cell carcinoma of lung, including 67 cases had bronchoscopic biopsy sampling and 42 cases had surgical samplings, were studied and histologically classified according to WHO Classification - 1999. Results indicated that: (1) Male/ Female ratio were 4.17/1 to 6.44/1; (2) Four variants of squamous cell carcinoma were found; (3) Identification of exact those variants required larger samplings or surgical sampling from different sites of tumors; (4) Histological criteria for every variants were presented and discussed.

Metachronous double cancer of primary early esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and invasive thymoma is a very rare condition. The invasive thymoma had been detected during the myathenia gravis evaluation and treated by radiation therapy 5 years ago. The esophageal lesion had a nodular-surfaced flat elevation at the mid-esophagus that was found by esophagoscopy. Radical resection for the lesions was undertaken after histologic confirmation. Postoperative pathologic examination documented that the esophageal squamous cell carcinoma was in the "early" stage involving the mucosal and submucosal layer only. We report a case of early esophageal cancer associated with invasive thyrnoma with literatures review.

Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases 2009;66(1):42-46
Lung cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers and it has the highest mortality of all forms of cancers. Although surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy are routinely used for the treatment of lung cancer treatment, little progress has been made in the treatment of this condition over the past 20 years. The histological subtype of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) accounts for approximately 30% of all lung cancer patients. Spontaneous regression of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCL) is an extremely rare phenomenon. Spontaneous regression of cancer (SR) is defined as a complete or partial, temporary or permanent disappearance of all or at least some the relevant parameters of soundly diagnosed malignant disease without any medical treatment or with treatment that is considered inadequate to produce the resulting regression.

8.Atypical squamous cell with undetermined significant, a newly issue in screening the cervical cancer
Journal of Medical Research 2001;15(2):37-41
In bethesda, the first requirement is correct and enough collection of sample which helps evaluating correctly. In the table of the detailed described diagnosis including 6 major classes, the a typical squamous cells with undetermined significant (ASCUS) followed the class of reaction lesion and is the first position of the class of the early cancer in screening the cervical cells in recent years. Therefore, ASCUS is considered as a lesion in the medium level, higher than the repaired lesion such as reserve cell hyperplasia or squamous cell teroplasia at the lower level of the squamous intrathelial lesion including types of low and high toxicity.

Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 2008;59(1):37-40
Primary squamous cell carcinoma is a rare tumor of the stomach with an incidence ranging from 0.04% to 0.4% of all diagnosed gastric cancers. We report a case of squamous cell carcinoma in the stomach associated with hypertrophic gastropathy and observed as a huge mass and wall thickening on the greater curvature site by a multidetector CT.
