1.Experience of veteran TCM doctor KONG Si-bo in treating optical disease
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(04):-
Objective: To study and discuss the experience veteran TCM doctor KONG Si-bo in treating optical disease. Methods: To analyze the academic thoughts of KONG Si-Bo from four aspects: theory, method, formula and herbs. Results: According to differentiation of syndrome, KONG Si-bo emphasized on the entirety and treating according to three categories of disease causes. He thought that on the base of traditional eight principle differentiation, yin and yang played a more important role in differentiation. In treatment aspect, he prefered to eliminating stagnation, especially eliminating liver stagnation. As for herbs, he liked using Shigao to clear heat, and had lots of gains from learning about herbs of expelling wind, regulating qi, dissipating stasis, invigoration. Conclusions: The experience of expert KONG Si-bo in treating optical disease deserved researching and learning by other doctors.

Using bioactive compounds 7-hydroxy flavone, salicylaldehyde, cinnamic acid and 4-amino-5- mercapto-1,2,4-triazoles as starting materials, three new types of flavone derivatives containing 1,2,4-triazole structure were synthesized via different step reactions. These new compounds were characterized by 1IHNMR, ESI-MS, IR and elemental analysis. Their scavenging effects on the superoxide radical (O2·-), hydroxyl radical (·OH), DPPH · radical and their total reduction activities were tested. The results showed that all of the compounds possessed some antioxidative activity at the concentration of 0.5 mg · mL(-1), but the scavenging ability of the target compounds was lower than that of the standard compound Vc.

AIM: To investigate the expression of iNOS in the lung of HPS rats treated with tumor necrosis factor-? monoclonal antibody(TNF-?-McAb) and to investigate the therapeutic mechanism of TNF-?-McAb on hepatopulmonary syndrome.METHODS: Male Sprague-Dawley rats,weighing(250?25)g,were randomized to sham operation group, common bile duct ligation(CBDL) group and CBDL+TNF-? McAb treatment group.Histopathological changes of the lung tissue were evaluated by hematoxylin and eosin staining. The mRNA expression of iNOS in the lungs of hepatopulmonary rats was examined by RT-PCR,while the changes of iNOS in the protein level were evaluated by immunohistochemistry and Western blotting.RESULTS: The inflammatory responses in the CBDL rats treated with TNF-?-McAb decreased than that in CBDL group.Compared to CBDL group, the distribution of iNOS protein and the mRNA expressions in the lung tissue in TNF-?-McAb group were inhibited.CONCLUSION: TNF-?-McAb inhibits the expression of iNOS and plays a role in the treatment of HPS.

Drug Evaluation Research 2017;40(4):496-499
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Xiao'er Zhixie Paste (XZP) by using the young rat model of chronic diarrhea, and to explore its mechanism. Methods Chronic diarrhea model in young rats was induced by ig senna.Rats were ig with Montmorillonite powder of 1.62 g/kg,XZP of low, medium, and high dose (2.03,4.05,and 8.10 g/kg) for treatment.Loose stools rate, loose stool grade and diarrhea index were determined 1 and 3 d after treatment respectively. The water content of small intestine was measured and blood was collected for testing serum succinate dehydrogenase (SDH),amylase,D-xylose by colorimetric determination, testing serum D-lactic acid,IL-1 β,and TNF-α by Elisa after administration. Results The rate of loose stools in XZP 4.05 and 8.10 g/kg dose group, and diarrhea index in 8.10 g/kg dose group significantly reduced after the first treatment. The loose stools rate of XZP 2.03,4.05,and 8.10 g/kg dose group, diarrhea index, serum D-lactic acid level in 4.05,8.10 g/kg group significantly reduced, and serum D-xylose level in 8.10 g/kg dose group significantly increased 3 d after treatment. However,XZP had no significant effect on SDH,amylase activity and IL-1β,TNF-α levels. Conclusion XZP has obvious therapeutic effect on chronic diarrhea in young rats, the mechanism is to increase improve the absorptive function and permeability of intestinal tract.
