Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2012;11(2):162-165
Objective To investigate the teaching effectiveness of preventive medicine and ask the students for feedback on the curriculum in order to reform the teaching methods. Methods Questionnaire survey.Sampling survey. Results 89.2% of students have realized the importance of preventive medicine.Respectively 16.4% and 7.5% of students have no interesting on the curriculum due to teachers'matter and students' idea that the course is uselessness for their major and future career.75.1% of students are interest in Nutrition and Food Hygiene,35.2% of students dislike Medical Statistics, and 45.3% of students think the most tough part is Medical Statistics.78.9% of students wish to have more practice lessons.30.5% of students do not ask teachers questions because of no communication with teachers after class. Conclusions Preventive Medicine is still ignored by a few students. The more tough the content is,the less interest the students have. Repeatedly emphasizing the importance of Preventive Medicine in medical education, adopting and combining with the community practical cases in class lectures and frequently communicating between teachers and students after class are suggested.

4.MicroRNA-9 inhibits epithelial-mesenchymal transition in gastric cancer SGC-7901 cells by NRP1
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2017;33(7):1191-1195
AIM: To investigate the inhibitory effect of microRNA-9 (miR-9) on epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in the gastric cancer SGC-7901 cells and its mechanism.METHODS: The gastric cancer cell line SGC-7901 was transfected with miR-9 mimics or negative control mimic (NCM), as miR-9 or NCM group, respectively. The SGC-7901 cells without transfection were used as control group. The expression level of miR-9 in each group was detected by RT-qPCR.The migration and invasion abilities of the SGC-7901 cells in the 3 groups were detected by Transwell assay. The protein expression of N-cadherin, E-cadherin, α-catenin and neuropilin-1 (NRP1) was determined by Western blot.Antagonistic effect of NRP1 over-expression on miR-9 inhibition of EMT was detected by Western blot. The relationship between miR-9 and NRP1 was analyzed by dual luciferase assay.RESULTS: The expression level of miR-9 in miR-9 group was significantly up-regulated, which was 538 times higher than that in control group (P<0.05).The number of migratory cells in miR-9 group was significantly lower than that in control group (P<0.05).Compared with control group, the protein expression of N-cadherin and NRP1 in miR-9 group was significantly decreased, while the protein expression of E-cadherin and α-catenin protein was significantly increased.Over-expression of NRP1 resulted in the increase in the protein expression of N-cadherin in the gastric cancer cells of miR-9 group, and the decrease in the protein expression of E-cadherin and α-catenin significantly. The result of dual luciferase assay showed that NRP1 was a downstream target gene of miR-9 (P<0.05).CONCLUSION: miR-9 may inhibit the expression of EMT-related proteins through the downstream target gene NRP1, thus inhibiting the EMT of gastric cancer SGC-7901 cells.

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2016;16(10):936-938,949
[Summary] Endometrial carcinoma is one of the most common malignant tumors in female reproductive system .The treatment is given priority to with surgery .As a kind of minimally invasive surgery , the da Vinci robot surgical technique has become more and more mature in the past ten years and played an increasingly important role in gynecological oncology .As compared with the traditional laparoscopic surgery , the main advantages of the da Vinci robotic surgery system are as follows: improved three-dimensional surgical field, improved operation dexterity by mechanical wrist , and improved accuracy of operation by tremor filtering system .These innovations can help gynecological oncologists complete difficult surgery , especially for patients diagnosed of endometrial cancer with severe obesity. This article summarized the application of the da Vinci robotic surgery system in the treatment of endometrial carcinoma and compared it with the open surgery and traditional laparoscopic surgery .The new robot surgery system , innovation, applicable people and the learning curve were also involved .
6.Expression and clinical significance of CD44v6 and p63 protein in buccal squamous cell carcinomas
Cancer Research and Clinic 2011;23(10):678-680,683
Objective To study biological significance of CD44v6 and p63 protein expression in buccal squamous cell carcinomas (BSCC). Methods Immunohistochemical method was used to examine the expression of CD44v6 and p63 protein in 52 cases of BSCC,10 cases of atypical hyperplasia and 10 cases of normal buccal mucosa, which were analyzed based on clinic and pathology characteristics. Results In normal tissue, atypical hyperplastic tissue of buccal mucosa and BSCC tissue, the expression of CD44v6 decreased gradually 90.0 % (9/10),80.0 % (8/10) and 55.8 % (29/52),respectively,and the layers of positive expression was decreased, and the expression of p63 increased gradually,30.0 % (3/10),40.0 % (4/10) and 90.4 %(47/52),respectively.The differences of their expression rates were significant (P <0.05).The expression of CD44v6 and p63 had no relationship with gender, age, tumor classification, pathological differentiation (P >0.05).CD44v6 was relevant with invasion style and lymphatic node metastasis of BSCC (P < 0.05),while p63 has no relevance with lymphatic node metastasis of BSCC (P >0.05).Conclusion CD44v6 and p63 participate in the regulation of generation and deve-lopment process of BSCC.CD44v6 can be utilized as a useful marker of BSCC for detection and prediction of prognosis.p63 play a role as oncogene, which can be a useful marker for BSCC detection.CD44v6 and p63 have independent function in generation, development, metastasis and aversion of BSCC.

Chinese Journal of Geriatric Heart Brain and Vessel Diseases 2015;(11):1197-1200
Objective To construct the human Alzheimer's disease (AD) specific single chain anti‐bodies (scFv) library for sceening human AD scFv to Aβ1‐42 oligomers .Methods RNA was isola‐ted from 40 ml peripheral blood taken from 18 AD patients .Variable heavy (V H ) and variable light (VL ) genes were amplified by RT‐PCR and linked to the scFv fragments that were then cloned into the phage vector pCANTAB5E .The scFv library was constructed by electroporating E .coli TG1 cells into the pCANTAB5E and rescuing the assistant phage M13K07 .Results The total RNA was extracted .The VH and VL genes were amplified .Electropharesis showed that the length of VH and VL genes was 360bp and 300bp respectively and the length of linked scFv was 750bp .The 2 .4 × 109 scFv library was thus constructed and identified by BstN I digestion .Elec‐tropharesis showed that the length of BstN I‐digested scFv fragments varied ,indicating that the library is of a good diversity .Conclusion The human AD phage scFv library we constructed lays a foundation for screening the antibodies to Aβ1‐42 oligomers and the treatment of AD .
