Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2011;10(12):1511-1513
Medical students should study and enlarge their medical terminology from their medical English courses as well as bilingual courses. This ability is a key part in the cultivation of high-levelled medical talents. However, medical words are special from general English in three parts:long, great in numbers and difficult to read. These characteristics leave the medical students in a hard situation in their promotion of medical terminology. If the students are provided and guided with a convenient and efficient software based on modem education technology, they can achieve much better results. The audio medical English terminology corpus can help the medical students achieve their goal in promotion of medical termi-nology.
5.Intramedullary pin versus plate for treatment of displaced mid-shaft clavicle fractures: a meta-analysis
Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2014;16(7):591-598
Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of intramedullary pin versus plate fixation for displaced mid-shaft clavicle fractures. Methods The databases,PubMed,CENTAL and CBM,were searched according to the standards of the Cochrane Collaboration for all the randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and clinical controlled trials (CCTs) comparing intramedullary pin with plate fixation for treatment of displaced mid-shaft clavicle fractures. In addition, hand search was also conducted in relevant journals.Time limit for search was from the beginning till December 2013.Trial quality was assessed using the modified Jadad scale and effective data were pooled for Meta analysis with software RevMan5.2.7,including wound infection, hospital stay, wound size, intraoperative blood loss, operation duration, implant irritation, implant problems, delayed union, malunion, nonunion, total complications and Constant scoring. Results Three RCTs and 7 CCTs with 697 patients were included in our study. The modified Jadad scoring showed fine quality of the 10 trials.Intramedullary fixation was significantly superior to plate fixation in wound size, intraoperative blood loss, operation duration, hospital stay, wound infection, and symptomatic hardware (P < 0.05),but led to a significantly higher rate of implant problems (P < 0.05).However,no significant differences were identified in total complication rate, delayed union, nonunion, malunion or Constant score (P > 0.05).Conclusions The superiority of intramedullary fixation for displaced mid-shaft clavicle fracture lies in its advantages of minimally invasion, such as limited incision, less intraoperative bleeding, shorter operation time and hospital stay, less wound infection and implant irritation.Ahhough intramedullary fixation may lead to a higher rate of implant problems,it shows no significant differences from plate fixation in bone healing and functional recovery.
6.Imaging Features of Chest CT and Prognosis of Proven Pulmonary Invasive Fungal Disease After Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging 2015;(6):453-457
Purpose To assess the initial and follow-up CT findings of proven pulmonary invasive fungal disease (IFD) in patients after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), and to look for the signs for the prognosis. Materials and Methods A retrospective investigation of the CT features and the evolution process was carried out in 13 patients with proven pulmonary IFD diagnosed by histological examination. Results The first abnormal CT finding showed single nodule or mass in 5 cases, two nodules or masses in 2 cases, multiple nodules or masses in 2 cases, patchy consolidation in 1 case, patchy ground glass opacity (GGO) in 1 case, multiple stripes and GGOs in 1 case, and multiple consolidations in peribronchial distribution in 1 case; the presence of reversed halo sign (RHS) was found in 7 cases, not including 4 cases with aspergillosis. The median initial diameter was 32.0 mm, and the median maximum diameter was 51.5 mm. 9 of them reached partial remission after drug treatment, and 9 accepted operation resection. In the end, there were 5 cases cured, 1 keeping stable, 2 suspected recurrent on imaging, and 5 dead. In summary, it showed less than 2 nodules or masses in 7 patients (group 1) and other imaging patterns in 6 patients (group 2), the former group had smaller max diameter (t=4.397, P<0.01), the effective rate within 12 weeks, operation resection rate and final cure rate of group 1 were 85.7%, 100.0% and 71.4%, and those of group 2 were 16.7%, 33.3% and 0, respectively, with group 1 all higher than group 2 (P<0.05). Conclusion Nodule or mass is the most common CT finding of pulmonary IFD in HSCT recipients, with high incidence of reversed halo sign, less than 2 nodules or masses on the first CT imaging may be associated with better prognosis.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(11):-
Objective To explore the relationship between clinical and pathological changes of complement 1q(C1q) nephropathy. Methods Clinical manifestation, pathologic features including glomerulus change, renal tubule - interstitial change and im-munopathology were compared between 10 cases of C1q nephropathy in children, who were diagnosed by renal biopsy. Results Presentation included idiopathic nephritic syndrome(6 cases), simple hematuria(2 cases), nephritic syndrome(1 case), rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis( 1 case); Renal biopsy revealed focal segmental glomerulosclerosis( FSGS) in 5, minimal-change disease( MCD) and mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis (MsPGN) respectively in two and crescentic glomerulonephritis in one. In addition, there were renal - tubule interstitial changes with 3 cases of grade I and grade II each other, 2 of grade III , 1 of grade IV . The prominent immunofluorescent features was the presence of bright mesangial deposition of C1q. The average follow - up time was 25.7 months. Six cases presenting nephrotic syndrome were resistant to steroid, but 5 were released after immunosuppressive therapy, the other had progressive renal insufficiency. Conclusions C1q nephropathy falls with the clinical - pathologic spectrum of FSGS generally. It is also presented as steroid - resistant nephritic syndrome. Moreover, the prognosis of C1q nephropathy is related to renal tubulointerstitial pathologic lesions not to C1q deposition.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the infection of Anisakis in marine fish sold in Fuxin, and conduct molecular identification and evolutionary tracing of third-stage larvae to determine Anisakis species. Methods From 2018 to 2021, marine fish sold in the market were collected randomly, and the third stage larvae of Anisakis were detected in marine fish sold in the market by direct dissection, and the morphological characteristics were used to preliminarily identify species by microscopy; the total DNA was extracted, the internal transcribed spacer sequence of the ribosomal DNA of Anisakis was amplified, and the sequence alignment and evolution analysis were carried out. Results A total of 289 market-sold sea fish samples of marine fish sold in the market were dissected and 84 samples of Anisakis were detected with a detection rate of 29.1%, of which the infection rates of hairtail and small yellow croaker were higher, at 41.4% and 41.2%, respectively. BLAST comparison of 28 sequences revealed eight species of anisakids, including Anisakis pegreffii, Anisakis simplex, Anisakis typical, Raphidascaris trichiurid, Contracaecum muraenesoxi, Hysterothylcaium zhoushanensis, Hysterothylacium amoyense and Hysterothylcaium fabri, belonging to the genera Anisakis and Hysterothylacium. The phylogenetic tree constructed from 28 sequences generally formed two topological branches, with Anisakis pegreffii, Anisakis simplex, and Anisakis typical forming three separate clusters as the topology branch of Anisakis genus. However, meanwhile, Hysterothylacium, Contracaecum, and Raphidascaris formed a separate topological branch. Conclusions The marine fish sold in Fuxin City have severe anisakid infection, with a wide variety of anisakid species, the dominant species being Anisakis pegreffii.
