AIM:To observe the effect of lidocaine to the activation of NF-?B and apoptosis in human neutrophils(PMN)in vitro.METHODS:Human PMN were divided into five groups:control group(0.9% sodium chloride);TNF-?(200 ng/L);TNF-?+lidocaine(1.0 mmol/L);TNF-?+lidocaine(2.0 mmol/L),and TNF-?+ lidocaine(4.0 mmol/L).The expression of NF-?B subunit p65 mRNA in the nuclear and I-?B mRNA in the cytosol extracts were analyzed by Western blotting,after co-incubation for 3 h and the content of p65 protein were observed by RT-PCR.PMN apoptosis was detected on flow cytometry after co-incubation 12 h and 24 h.RESULTS:The expression of NF-?B mRNA was significantly decreased and the expression of I-?B mRNA was markedly increased in lidocaine groups(P

ObjectiveTo explore the effect of personality and psychosocial factors on irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).MethodsPersonality and psychological status of 46 IBS patients and 32 healthy individuals were evaluated with Eysenck Personality Questionaire (EPQ), Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90) and Life Events Scale (LES).ResultsIn EPQ, E (extroversion-introversion) scores of IBS group were lower than those of control group; N (neuroticism) scores of IBS group were significantly higher than those of control group (P<0.01). In SCL-90, the scores of somatization, compulsion, anxiety, depression and etc. were higher than those of control group (P<0.05). The frequency of meeting negative life events, the quantity of stimulus of meeting negative life events and the total quantity of stimulus of meeting life events of IBS patients within one year until episode were significantly higher than those of control group (P<0.01).ConclusionPersonality psychological characteristics and life events before illness are associated with the morbidity of IBS.

Objective To propose prevention and management of vascular crisis according to cause analysis, and improve the survival rate of digital replantation. Methods The vascular crisis of 132 digits of 98 cases were observed during intraoperative. The replantation was performed under different time and different conditions. The causes of vascular crisis, and propose effective prevention and management of vascular crisis were restrospective analysis. Results From March 2006 to June 2007, 35 amputated digits occurred vascular crisis during intraoperative, 19 amputated digits occurred during postoperative. After using warm physiological saline and injecting the papaverine partly, we proceed operations research with regard to the non-catabatic amputated digits. As result 58 digits survived, the achievement ratio was 89.2%. From July 2007 to March 2009, 10 amputated digits occurred vascular crisis during intraoperative,5 amputated digits occurred during postoperative. After non-surgical treatment, we performed operations research regard to the non-catabatic amputated digits. After blood supply recover, we imbed PCA pump into flex tendinous sheath to avoid the occurrence of vascular crisis postoperative. As result 66 digits survived, the achievement ratio was 98.5%. postoperative 9 cases out of fullow-up, 89 cases follow up ranged from 6 to 8 months. Recovery of the hand function was good. Conclusion Good and adequate anesthetic and an appropriate ambient temperature during operation are important factors to prevent occurrence of vascular crisis in digital replantation. Paying enough attention to these factors can effectively improve the survival rate of replantatian.

Objective To investigate the clinical features of polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy. Methods The clinical manifestations and the findings of fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) and indocyanine green angiography (ICGA) of 7 eyes in 6 patients with polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy were analyzed retrospectively. Results The ophthalmoscopic examination of PCV in this series of patients revealed orange-red lesions mainly in macular region in early stage, and then hemorrhage, exudation, edema, serous and (or) hemorrhagic detachment of retinal pigment epithelium in affected portions in advanced stage, and retinal and choroidal atrophy in late stage. FFA discovered the vascular dilation at the border of the choroidal vascular network in 1 eye, dotted hyperfluorescence in 6 eyes, and patches of hyperfluorescence in late phase. ICGA disclosed a vascular branching network in choroid with polypoid pattern of the terminal path of the vessels of network in early phase in 5 eyes, and the typical dotted or clustered polypoidal hyperfluorescence in 7 eyes in late phase. Conclusion The characteristic findings of FFA and ICGA are very diagnostic for PCV.

Objective To study the mechanisms of Liujing Toutong Tablets (LTT) in the treatment of migraine by network pharmacology. Methods Eighteen components of LTT absorbed into blood were selected as the objects, and targets of compounds were predicted according to the reverse pharmacophore matching method. The related pathways and correlation analysis were explored by the MAS 3.0 biomolecule function software and the Kyoto Encyclopedia and Genomes (KEGG) database. Finally, the network of compound-target-pathway-disease of LTT was constructed by Cytoscape software. Results Eighteen compounds interacted with 88 pathways through 72 targets, of which 36 protein targets and 22 pathways were associated with migraine. Conclusion LTT may play a role in expelling wind and dredging collaterals, promoting orifice and pain-relieving by intervening with the related pathways of inflammation, homeostasis of blood vessels, nervous centralis, immunity, and hormonal regulation.

OBJECTIVE: To discuss blood collection tubes with different additives and their effects on the testing results of alcohol concentration in blood samples. METHODS: Blood samples from 10 volunteers were collected 2 hours after drinking with seven different types of disposable vacuum blood collection tubes, including ordinary tube without anticoagulant, coagulant tube, separating gel-coagulant tube, sodium citrate (1:4) tube, sodium citrate (1:9) tube, sodium citrate (9:1) tube and EDTA-K2 tube. The alcohol concentrations in these blood samples were analyzed by headspace gas chromatography. RESULTS: The concentration testing results of the same blood samples in different types of tubes were different from one to another. The sequence was as follows: separating gel-coagulant tube > coagulant tube > ordi- nary tube without anticoagulant > EDTA-K2 tube> sodium citrate (1:9) tube> sodium citrate (1:4) tube, whereas the results of the same blood sample in sodium citrate (1:9) tube and sodium citrate (9:1) tube showed no obvious difference. CONCLUSION It is better to collect a suspicious drunk driver's blood sam- ple using a disposable vacuum blood collection tube, with the EDTA-K2 tube being preferred.

ObjectiveTo explore the effect and feasibility of autograft and allograft bone and cartilage transplantation.Methods63 rabbits were made experimental defect in the same side knee joint,and were divided randomly into group A(autograft group),group B(allograft group) and group C(control group).Group A was divided further into 2 column limiting motion subgroup(A2M group),not limiting motion subgroup(A2N group) and 4 column subgroup(A4M group).In the same way,group B was divided further into B2M group,B2N group and B4M group.Every subgroup included nine rabbits,and the transplantation was made in no weight-bear area of knee joint.The generally observation were made,the joint movable range and the thickness of the repairing tissue were measured,histology change of transplanted tissue(through light,electronic microscope)were observed.ResultsGroup A had a satisfactory result,and the result of no limiting groups were better.The result of A4M group was better than A2M group (P≤0.05).The result of group B was not good.ConclusionThe bone-cartilage column of small diameter and general number are beneficial in repairing the defect of joint cartilage.The allograft bone and cartilage transplantation can cause seriously immunoreaction and the absorption of cartilage pole,and is detrimental to repair the defect of joint cartilage.

The paper introduces actual needs, implementation modes, service contents and forms of subject librarian service in Library of China Medical University;hopefully the good experience would provide reference to other medical colleges and universities.
