China Pharmacy 2001;0(08):-
OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the application situation of anesthetic sedative agents in our hospital.METHODS:11945prescriptions of anesthetic sedative agents in inpatient department of our hospital during the period of2001~2003were statistically analyzed.RESULTS:There were5kinds of commonly used anesthetic sedative agents in3dosage types alto-gether;the anesthetic sedatives agents were mainly used in patients ranging from40~50years old;the drug use index(DUI)of all the kinds were all less than1,with the DUI of the majority at no more than0.5.CONCLUSION:Anesthetic sedative dosage for the treatment of cancer of late stage is lower than one needed, which suggests that sufficient dosage should be given to the cancer suffering patients by the physician.
3.Inhibitory effect of propylene glycol mannate sulfate on growth of rabbit lens epithelial cells in vitro
International Eye Science 2009;9(11):2050-2053
AIM:To investigate the inhibitory effect of rabbit lens epithelial cell(RLEC)survival and growth by propylene glycol mannate sulfate(PGMS)on the rabbit capsular bag in vitro.METHODS;Capsular bags were prepared from rabbit eyes after extracapsular cataract extraction(ECCE)and incubated in 0.2,0.4,0.8g/L PGMS in 2,5,10 minutes incubation periods. After treatment, the capsular bags were cultured for 7 days in Dulbecco minimum essential medium(DMEM)supplemented with 50mL/L fetal calf serum(FCS).The specimens were examined with light microscopy and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Capsular bags without receiving PGMS only served as controls.RESULTS:PGMS inhibited the proliferation of RLEC in the manner of concentration and time dependentment. At the threshold protocol of incubation in PGMS at 0.8g/L for 5 or 10 minutes, proliferative activity of cells were largely arrested and nearly no RLEC was seen on the posterior capsule(P<0.05).Control group had no effect on structure and proliferative activity of RLEC,and the growth proceeded rapidly so that the posterior capsule were totally covered by a confluent monolayer of cell by the end of 7 days.Under TEM,the cells in the control group were tightly arrayed with clearly defined cellular boundary and structure;while cellular deformity and undefined intracellular structure could be seen in the 0.4g/L and 0.8g/L experimental groups.CONCLUSION:PGMS can effectively inhibit the proliferation of RLEC.

Objective:To establish a method for the content determination of total nitrogen in Nidus Vespae by salicylic acid and sodium hypochlorite spectrophotometry. Methods:The content of total nitrogen in Nidus Vespae from different areas with various batches was detected. Nidus Vespae was treated with sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide, and colored by salicylic acid and sodium hypochlo-rite. Using ammonium chloride as the control sample, the content of total nitrogen in the samples was tested at 650 nm. To ensure the method reliability, single factor experiments were performed to study the effects of temperature, reaction time and reagent dosage; or-thogonal experiments were used to screen optimum amounts of phosphate buffer solution, sodium salicylate solution and sodium hypo-chlorite solution. Results:The results showed that the optimum temperature was ambient, and the optimum time was 1. 5h. The opti-mum amount of phosphate buffer solution , sodium salicylate solution and sodium hypochlorite solution was 4 ml,7 ml and 1. 5 ml, re-spectively. The linear range of total nitrogen was 0. 06-0. 78 μg·ml-1(r=0. 9998), and the average recovery was 100. 98% (RSD=2. 10%,n=6). Conclusion:The method can be used to determine the total nitrogen content in Nidus Vespae. The total nitrogen content in Nidus Vespae is various in various areas with different batches.

Objective To explore the effect of evidence-based nursing on improving the compliance of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients with noninvasive positive pressure ventilation. Methods Forty-five patients hospitalized in the first half of the year were assigned as control group and another 45 patients hospitalized in the second half of the year were as experiment group. The control group was treated with traditional nursing methods. In the experiment group, a nursing panel was set up to analyze the causes of noncompliance of COPD patients with noninvasive positive pressure ventilation and gave care to the patients based on the analyses. The two groups were compared in terms of adverse reactions and the compliance with treatment. Result The rates of compliance with treatment and adverse reactions such as fear and anxiety , the man-machine confrontation and flatulence in the experiment group were significantly lower than those of the control group obviously (P<0.05). Conclusion The evidence-based nursing can reduce the incidence of adverse reactions , and enhance the compliance of COPD patients with noninvasive positive pressure ventilation effectively.

Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention on cerebral trauma patients in recovery phase. Methods 156 cerebral trauma patients who had more than 6 months course of disease received rehabilitation training and nursing care, and their activities of daily living (ADL) were accessed by modified Barthel index. Results The score of ADL in patients who had course of disease about 6~12 months was lower than patients who had more than 12 months course (P<0.05) before nursing care. The scores improved in both groups after nursing care (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference between 2 groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Rehabilitation training and nursing care may facilitate the recovery of ADL of cerebral trauma patients in recovery phase.

ObjectiveTo study the effect of bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSC) transplantation into traumatic brain injury(TBI) rats by the external carotid artery on neurological function and learning and memory.MethodsTen adult SD rats were randomly divided into TBI group ( n =5 ) and BMSC transplantation group ( n=5).Feeney free falling method was used to establish TBI models. The experimental rats were administrated with BMSC via external carotid artery (ECA),while TBI rats were injected with sterile liquid medium of equal volume via right ECA.Neurological function were evaluated according to the modified neurological severity score (NSS) at 1,3,7,15 days.Morris water maze test was used to observe the animal capabilities of place navigation and space exploration at 15 days, then animals were sacrificed.Survival and migration of implanted BMSC in brains under fluorescence microscope. ResultAfter traumatic brain, varying degrees convulsions, paralysis, loss of balance function in rats were found.Compared with TBI group,BMSC transplantation decreased significantly NSS (P <0.01 ).BMSC transplantation significantly decreased on escape latency ( ( 20.48 ± 2.29 ) s ) than the TBI group ( ( 85.93 ± 47.48 ) s) (P < 0.01 ).Moreover,BMSC group in the target quadrant dwell time ( ( 28.62 ± 1.72) % )and distance ( (29.05 ± 3.08 )% ) as well as the number of passing the platform (8.00 ± 2.45 ) were significantly higher than the TBI group ( ( 19.37 ± 2.81 ) %,(21.78 ± 3.06) %,(2.00 ± 1.87) respectively,P < 0.01 ).Transplanted BMSC could survive and migrate around injury brain through Hochest mark immunofluorescence.ConclusionBMSC can survive and migrate around injury brain by transplantation of external carotid artery, which results in a significant neurological function improvement and learning and memory increase in rats with traumatic brain injury.
