1.Effect on chronic urticaria and serum IL-4 and IgE in the patients treated with moving cupping therapy and autohemotherapy with acupoint inection.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(12):1185-1188
OBJECTIVETo explore the clinical efficacy and effect mechanism on chronic urticaria treated with moving cupping therapy combined with autohemotherapy with acupaint injection for desensitization at acupoints.
METHODSOne hundred and four patients of chronic urticaria were randomized into a comprehensive therapy group and a medication group, 52 cases in each one. In the comprehensive therapy group, the moving cupping therapy along the governor vessel and bladder meridian of foot-taiyang was applied combined with autohemotherapy with acupaint injection for desensitization at acupoints. The self-venous blood was injected at bilateral Quchi (LI 11) and Zusanli (ST 36), 1 mL at each acupoint, once every 3 days. In the medication group, cetirizine tablets, 10 mg were prescribed for oral administration, once every day, and the compound dexamethasone acetate cream was used externally, once to twice a day. The clinical efficacy: was observed in 30 days of treatment in the two groups. The changes of serum interleukin 4 (IL-4) and immunoglobulin E (Ig E) before and after treatment were observed. The recurrence rate was compared between the two groups in 3 months after treatment.
RESULTSThe cured and markedly effective rate was 90.4% (47/52) in the comprehensive therapy group, which was higher obviously than 78.8% (41/52, P < 0.05) in the medication group. The levels of serum IL-4 and IgE were reduced in the patients of the two groups, indicating the significant difference in comparison before and after treatment (all P < 0.01) and the reducing degree in the comprehensive therapy group was much more significant than that in the medicine group (both P < 0.01). The recurrence rate was 19. 1% (9/47) in the comprehensive therapy group in the 3-month follow-up after treatment, and apparently lower than 51.2% (21/41, P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONThe moving cupping therapy combined with autohemotherapy with acupaint injection for desensitization at acupoints achieves the better efficacy on chronic urticaria compared with the routine western medicine treatment and the recurrence rate is low. The effect mechanism is possibly related to the down-regulation of serum IL-4 and IgE in the patients.

6. Race-specific genetic risk score is more accurate than nonrace-specific genetic risk score for predicting prostate cancer and high-grade diseases
Asian Journal of Andrology 2016;18(4):525-529
Genetic risk score (GRS) based on disease risk-associated single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) is an informative tool that can be used to provide inherited information for specific diseases in addition to family history. However, it is still unknown whether only SNPs that are implicated in a specific racial group should be used when calculating GRSs. The objective of this study is to compare the performance of race-specific GRS and nonrace-specific GRS for predicting prostate cancer (PCa) among 1338 patients underwent prostate biopsy in Shanghai, China. A race-specific GRS was calculated with seven PCa risk-associated SNPs implicated in East Asians (GRS7), and a nonrace-specific GRS was calculated based on 76 PCa risk-associated SNPs implicated in at least one racial group (GRS76). The means of GRS7 and GRS76 were 1.19 and 1.85, respectively, in the study population. Higher GRS7 and GRS76 were independent predictors for PCa and high-grade PCa in univariate and multivariate analyses. GRS7 had a better area under the receiver-operating curve (AUC) than GRS76 for discriminating PCa (0.602 vs 0.573) and high-grade PCa (0.603 vs 0.575) but did not reach statistical significance. GRS7 had a better (up to 13% at different cutoffs) positive predictive value (PPV) than GRS76. In conclusion, a race-specific GRS is more robust and has a better performance when predicting PCa in East Asian men than a GRS calculated using SNPs that are not shown to be associated with East Asians.
7. Clinically available RNA profiling tests of prostate tumors: Utility and comparison
Asian Journal of Andrology 2016;18(4):575-579
In the postscreening era, physicians are in need of methods to discriminate aggressive from nonaggressive prostate cancer (PCa) to reduce overdiagnosis and overtreatment. However, studies have shown that prognoses (e.g., progression and mortality) differ even among individuals with similar clinical and pathological characteristics. Existing risk classifiers (TMN grading system, Gleason score, etc.) are not accurately enough to represent the biological features of PCa. Using new genomic technologies, novel biomarkers and classifiers have been developed and shown to add value to clinical or pathological risk factors for predicting aggressive disease. Among them, RNA testing (gene expression analysis) is useful because it can not only reflect genetic variations but also reflect epigenetic regulations. Commercially available RNA profiling tests (Oncotype Dx, Prolaris, and Decipher) have demonstrated strong abilities to discriminate PCa with poor prognosis from less aggressive diseases. For instance, these RNA profiling tests can predict disease progression in active surveillance patients or early recurrence after radical treatments. These tests may offer more dependable methods for PCa prognosis prediction to make more accurate and personal medical decisions.

Objective:To explore the effect of positive psychological intervention based on PERMA model on the fear of cancer recurrence and psychological capital in breast cancer patients during chemotherapy. Methods:A total of 60 breast cancer patients who received chemotherapy from November 2019 to January 2020 were divided into intervention group and control group with 30 cases in each group. The control group received routine health education. On this basis, the intervention group was given 8 times of positive psychological intervention. The general situation questionnaire, Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form (FoP-Q-SF) and Positive Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PPQ) were used to evaluate the results of the two groups before and after intervention. Results:Before, 4 weeks after and 8 weeks after the intervention, the score of fear of cancer recurrence in the intervention group were 39.67±4.24, 34.60±3.78 and 31.17±3.60. The difference of the score of fear of cancer recurrence at different time points was statistically significant ( F value was 257.757, P<0.05). The scores of psychological capital were 113.20±19.75, 125.57±18.79 and 134.43±17.59. The difference of psychological capital level at different time points was statistically significant ( F value was 154.225, P<0.05). Conclusions:Positive psychological intervention based on PERMA model can reduce the fear of cancer recurrence in breast cancer patients during chemotherapy and improve their psychological capital level.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2015;31(6):470-473
Individual stature estimation is one of the most important contents of forensic anthropology. Currently, it has been used that the regression equations established by the data collected by direct measurement or radiological techniques in a certain group of limbs, irregular bones, and anatomic landmarks. Due to the impact of population mobility, human physical improvement, racial and geographic differences, estimation of individual stature should be a regular study. This paper reviews the different methods of stature estimation, briefly describes the advantages and disadvantages of each method, and prospects a new research direction.
