Clinical Medicine of China 2017;33(8):753-756
Objective To investigate the clinical features, pathological features and prognostic factors of young patients with endometrial cancer. Methods One hundred and ten cases of endometrial cancer under 40 in Jiangning Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University from January 1st 2008 to January 1st 2012 were selected as the study group while one hundred and ten cases of cervical cancer over 40 in the same period as the control group. The clinical features and pathological features were compared between the two groups.Univariate and multivariate analysis were used to determine the prognostic factors. Results The occurrence rate of abnormal vaginal bleeding (74.5% (82/110)),vaginal drainage (22.7% (25/110)) and infertility (38.2% (42/110)) in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group (59.1%(65/110),4.5%(5/110),3.6%(4/110),χ2=4.30,12.23,16.53,P<0.05),while the production time ((1.2±0.6) times),combination of hypertension (2.7% (3/110)) and diabetes (1.8% (2/110)) were significantly lower than those in the control group ((2.3±0.9)times,14.5% (16/110),10.0%(11/110),t=-5.69,χ2=23.61,8.26,P<0.05).The histological classification of the two groups was mainly based on endometrioid adenocarcinoma, and the pathological types were mainly based on adenocarcinoma, the differences were not statistically significant (χ2=0.75,1.56,P>0.05).There were differences in histology,PR,muscle, and lymph node metastases (χ2=5.39,4.29,4.89,P<0.05).Multivariate analysis of prognostic factors in young patients with endometrial cancer showed that histology,PR and muscle metastasis were independent risk factors for the prognosis of young endometrial cancer patients. Conclusion There are differences in clinical features and pathological features between young and elderly endometrial cancer patients. The census and prevention among young women should be strengthened and the individualized treatment and the prevention and control system should be upgraded.
3.Research Progress on Degradation of Triazophos
Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(01):-
With the wide application of triazophos in agricultural production, increasing attention has been paid to the contamination of this pesticide to the environment. The studies on triazophos residue and degradation have made certain progress in recent years. This paper gives an outline of micro-organisms degrading triazophos and the possible pathways by which they degrade this pesticide. The reaction kinetics and mechanisms of triazophos hydrolysis and photolysis are also reviewed briefly.

AIM: To analyze the effects of two kinds of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) drugs, conbercept and ranibizumab, on proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) patients as pre-treatment for pars plana vitrectomy (PPV).METHODS: From June 2016 to December 2016, 62 patients (64 eyes) aged 41-59 years old diagnosed with PDR with nonclearing vitreous hemorrhage (VH) and/or tractional retinal detachment (TRD) requiring PPV were enrolled in our study.Patients were treated with intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF drugs 0.50mg (0.05mL) 3d before PPV.Then the standard 23G minimally invasive sclera three-channel vitrectomy was performed where there were no significant complications after the injection of anti-VEGF drugs. The operation time, intraoperative bleeding, iatrogenic retinal breaks, the use of endodiathermy and silicone oil, and postoperative complications were recorded and analyzed. We compared and analyzed the visual acuity and macular thickness before and 1mo after the surgery with the preoperative data.RESULTS: Both conbercept and ranibizumab could improve the postoperative visual acuity and reduce the postoperative macular thickness of PPV.There was no significant difference between the impacts of two kinds of anti-VEGF drug pre-treatment on operation time, intraoperative bleeding, iatrogenic retinal breaks, the use of endodiathermy, silicone oil filling and postoperative vitreous secondary hemorrhage.CONCLUSION: The effects of conbercept and ranibizumab pre-treatment were similar.PPV combined with anti-VEGF pre-treatment could improve postoperative visual acuity and macular edema. The choice of conbercept or ranibizumab should be made flexibly according to the actual situation of patients.

Objective:To compare the sealing ability and marginal adaptation of three obturation techniques when used in root canal obsturation of c-shaped canals of mandibular second molars. Methods:Twenty-one extracted mandibular second molars with C-shaped canals were randomly divided into three groups. After instrumentation, the canals were filled using three different techniques: ObturaⅡ(group A), cold lateral condensation (group B) and Thermafil (group C). Then, gaps, obturated lateral canals and reticular apical triangles on the X-ray were counted. After dyeing for 7 days in the ink, dyeing lines were measured to reflect the microleakage. The percentages of gutta-percha, sealer and gaps on the root canal surface were determined by analyzing the images of 3 sections per tooth. Results:The reticular apical triangles were most frequently observed in group C(P

The epidural venous plexus is considered as a cause of low back and leg pain but has been neglected for a long time. As an auxiliary drainage system of the vena cava, the epidural venous plexus plays an important role in the circulation of body fluids, and its tortuous expansion may lead to clinical symptoms similar to a herniated disc or spinal stenosis, by compressing nerve roots or dura. Due to the lack of specificity of imaging findings, it is difficult to distinguish accurately from disc herniation or spinal stenosis. The epidural venous plexus is tortuous and thin-walled, which is easy to be broken during the operation that resulted in obscuring the surgical field and leading to other complications such as postoperative hematoma. Despite researches of epidural venous plexus have been carried out for years, details are still left unknow. We hereby reviewed the latest research progress of the epidural venous plexus including anatomical structure, morphological characteristics, clinical significance and imaging examination.

Background and purpose:Human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER-2), a member of epidermal growth factor receptor family, initiates a diverse set of signaling pathways that ultimately affect such fun-damental processes as cell proliferation, cell motility and cell apoptosis. It is reported that HER-2 was associated with epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) process. However, the mechanism needs further investigation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mechanism of HER-2 on regulating EMT process. Methods:Transwell assay was used to determine the motility of breast cancer cells; Real-time lfuorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-FQ-PCR) was employed to determine the expression of genes of interest, and reactive oxygen species production was measured by reactive oxygen species detection kit.Results:HER-2 overexpression in breast cancer cells could promote cell migration and invasion. Mechanistic study showed that HER-2 overexpression could upregulate ZEB1 expression. ZEB1 silencing by siRNA reduced cell motility of HER-2-overexpressing breast cancer cells. Furthermore, reactive oxygen species produced in HER-2-overexpressing breast cancer cells were less than those produced in corresponding control cells. Conclusion:Our study demonstrated that HER-2 overexpression endowed breast cancer cells with EMT related properties by upregulating ZEB1 expression. ZEB1 could be a candidate target for further study of the relation-ship between HER-2 and EMT.

To investigate whether accelerated blood clearance (ABC) phenomenon could be induced after repeated injection of mitoxantrone thermosensitive liposomes, LC-MS/MS and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) were used to measure the concentration of mitoxantrone and the anti-polyethylene glycol (PEG) IgM levels in rat plasma, separately. The drug was rapidly cleared away after the second administration. The anti-PEG IgM was detected after the first dose which was neutralized quickly after the second dose. It is proved that repeated administration of mitoxantrone thermosensitive liposomes in rat caused the ABC phenomenon.
