Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2015;35(8):823-826
Professor FU Zhonghua's unique clinical experience of Fu's subcutaneous needling (FSN) for cervical spondylosis (CS) is discussed in this paper, which is analyzed from the aspects of recognition of CS pathogenesis, treatment mechanism of FSN, advantage indications of FSN for CS and examples of medical cases. Professor FU introduced the theory of myofascial trigger points (MTrP) into the field of the management of CS. The site of neck MTrP should be carefully examined, and FSN needles for single use are used to sweep the affected area or subcutaneous layer of adjacent upper limb. This method can rapidly improve ischemia and hypoxia state of the relevant muscles and prompt the self-recovery of neck muscles. During FSN treatment, reperfusion approach is recommended to adopt to improve the qi and blood circulation and recovery of neck function.

Objective To study the effect of TMB 8 on cerebral blood flow(CBF) of focal cerebral ischemia in the rats. Methods CBF in the middle cerebral artery occlusion after the middle cerebral artery occlusion was measured by a Laser Doppler Flowmeter. TMB 8 was administered 30 min before occlusion and 20 min after occlusion respectively. Results CBF was reduced quickly. TMB 8 0.5,1,2 mg/kg was administered 30 min before occlusion of the middle cerebral artery. The dosage inhibited the reduction of CBF,20 min after occlusion, CBF was increased by TMB 8 1 mg/kg significantly. Conclusion TMB 8 could prevent and treat the reduction of CBF in focal cerebral ischemia of MCAO in the rats, and improved the supply of blood in ischemic area.

Objective To investigate the relationship of glycoprotein serglycin (SRGN) expression with invasion and metastasis of breast cancer cells, and the role of microRNA in the regulation of SRGN expression. Methods Real-time quantitative polymer ase chain reaction (PCR) and Western blot were used to detect the differences in SRGN expression between higher metastasis Michigan cancer foundation-7 (MCF-7)/5-Fu breast cancer cell lines and weaker metastasis MCF-7 cell line. The siRNA interference experiment and in vitro Transwell experiment were used to detect effect of SRGN on the ability of invasion and metastasis of breast cancer cells.Bioinformatics software was used to predict miRNAs targeting SRGN,and integrated microRNA differentially expressed chip data between breast cancer cell MCF-7 versus MCF-7/5-Fu.The miRNA quantitative PCR was used to determine the differences of candi date miRNA expression. After transfection of microRNA minics,Western blot was used to test candidate microRNA target SRGN.Transwell experiment was used to test the effects of candidate microRNAs on tumor cell invasion and metastasis. Results SRGN was increased significantly in MCF-7/5-Fu cells, and the invasion and metastasis of tumor cells were inhibited when SRGN was interfered. In addition,miR181 b/c expressed in MCF-7/5-Fu cells was reduced significantly, negatively correlated with SRGN expression, and targeted SRGN expression. It inhibited invasion and metastasis of tumor cells. Conclusions MicroRNA181b/c inhibits metastasis of breast cancer by targeting SRGN.

Objective To enhance clinicians' intention to the importance of early diagnosis, early therapy and follow-up of type Ⅱ citrullinemia. Methods The clinical data of one adult-onset type Ⅱ citrullinemia pedigree were collected. The gene mutation type of SLC25A13 of proband and her daughter were determined by PCR and direct gene sequencing. Results The patient was a 27 years-old female, who complained of repeated dizziness, vomiting for more than 2 years and recurrent attacks of altered consciousness for about one and a half year.An abdominal ultrasonogram, liver magnetic resonance imaging and liver histology obtained by needle biopsy all determined the liver pathological changes of liver cirrhosis.Electroencephalogram showed sharp waves. The plasma amino acid showed a marked elevation of blood citrulline.Laboratory findings revealed a highly increased concentration of plasma ammonia during every episode. Mutation analysis of the SLC25A13 gene identified a homozygote of 851del4 in the patient, and heterozygote of 851del4 in her daughter. Conclusions For adults, unexplained dizziness, vomiting, but liver function still in the compensation, especially accompanied by neuropsychologic symptoms are highly suggestive of adult-onset type Ⅱ citrullinemia.SLC25A13 gene analysis contributes to the diagnosis of this disease, avoids invasive investigations and early confirmation of this disease means long-term dietary advice, genetic counseling, medical surveillance and early preparation for liver transplantation if is necessary.
