1.Advances in chemotherapy of small cell lung cancer
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2016;43(10):418-423
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) accounts for about 13%of lung cancer. SCLC exhibits an early metastatic potential and sensitivi-ty to first-line cytotoxic chemotherapy compared with non-small cell lung cancer. Current treatments include surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. Platinum plus etoposide is viewed as the standard first-line chemotherapy. However, recurrence rate of cancer af-ter platinum plus etoposide chemotherapy is high. Topotecan monotherapy is the standard second-line chemotherapy. Meanwhile, novel targeted immunotherapy showed poor effects. Hence, new breakthroughs in the treatment of SCLC are urgently needed.
2.Changes of NCCa-ATP Channels in Core Area During Focal Cerebral Ischemia and Reperfusion in Rats
Journal of Kunming Medical University 2013;(9):46-50
Objective To study the changes of SUR1-regulated NCCa-ATP channels in core area during focal cerebral ischemia and reperfusion in rats, and to explore the therapeutic window of focal cerebral ischemia. Methods Adult male Wistar rats were rendered to undergo 120 minutes of the left middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) by the intraluminal thread technique before reperfusion. The core area of the left hemisphere cortex ischemia/reperfusion at different times (reperfusion:R3 h, 6 h, 8 h, 12 h and 24 h) was taken to be tested the level of mRNA and protein expression of sulfonylurea receptor 1 (SUR1) using RT-PCR and Western-blot techniques. SUR1 of the ischemic brain microvascular endothelial cells were observed by immunofluorescence double staining at the peak expressing time point of SUR1. Results We found the up-regulation of SUR1 mRNA and SUR1 protein in ischemic infarcts tissues for R3 h, 6 h, 8 h and 12 h, peaked at R8 h, compared with the sham-operation group ( <0.05) . However, SUR1 expression increased was observed at R12 h by double immunofluorescence in microvascular endothelium. Conclusion SUR1-regulated NCCa-ATP channel may take part in cerebral ischemic damage during focal cerebral ischemia and reperfusion. The expressions of SUR1 mRNA and SUR1 protein were up-regulated in ischemic infarcts tissues. The data suggested that the best time to apply SUR1 inhibitor is within 8-12 hours after ischemia and reperfusion.

Teaching and research are of great significance for university teaching and educating. In order to establish effective mechanisms for teaching and research results-based management, we should reach consensus on emphasizing teaching research, regulate teaching and research project application, optimize project selecting design, think highly of the process control and continuous improvement in teaching and research, work on the results publicity, promotion and application, and at the same time raise the overall quality of teaching administrators.

Purpose:To study the effectiveness and toxicity of venorelbine combined with fluorouracil/leucovorin in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) refractory to platinum based chemotherapy. Methods:The chemotherapy regimen consisted of bimonthly intravenous infusion of venorelbine 25 mg/m 2 plus 2-hour infusion of leucovorin 200 mg/m 2 followed by 48-hour infusion of 5-FU 3.0 g/m 2 using an ambulatory pump. Results:Among 30 patients entered into the study,1 patient achieved complete response,15 patients achieved partial response with an overall response rate of 53.3% and 10 had stable disease with clinical benefit rate of 86.7% respectively. 4 patients had disease progression. Median time to progression was 7 months(range:2.0-20.0 months) and the 1-year survival rate was 51%. The main toxicities were diarrhea and myelotoxicity. Conclusions:The results indicate that venorelbine combined with fluorouracil/leucovorin in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma refractory to platinum based chemotherapy has moderate activity but comparatively mild toxicity.

Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) has become an increasingly used methodological strategy in clinical psychology. The purpose of this paper is to outline a set of procedures for the optimizing use of SEM. The steps involved: (1) clarification of the phenomenon; (2) development of the model; (3)tesing of the model; (4) refinement of the model; and (5) assessment of the model.A research on adolescents' initiation of dieting was applied to illustrate the use of SEM.

Objective: To study the direct and moderating effects of Esteem in the model of personality, shame and mental health. Corresponding factors in the whole model were extended. Methods: The SCL-90, EPQ-R Short Scale (EPQ-RS), Shame Scale and Esteem Scale were administered to 365 udergraduates (including 196 males and 169 females, mean age 20.65), and structural equation modeling method was used to study the direct and moderating effects of Esteem in the model. Results: The following conclusions are confirmed through model comparision: (1)Esteem has significant direct effect on the mental symptoms and shame in the model; (2)Esteem has significant moderating effect on the path of neuroticism to the mental symptoms in the model;(3)Psychoticism can independently affect the mental symptoms directly in the model. A new interactive perspective to the raltionship of shame and esteem was discussed in the end.

Objective: To study the relationship among shame, persona li ty and mental health, and to establish a structural model of them Meth o d: Structural equation modeling was used for the data from 178 college s tudents (including 86 male and 92 female, mean age 21), who were tested with SCL -90, EPQ-R Short Scale (EPQ-RS)and shame scale Result: A theor etical model was established for the relationship of personality, shame and ment al health It wa s also confirmed through model comparison that shame has a part-mediating role b etween personality and mental health

Chinese Mental Health Journal 1991;0(02):-
Objective: To study social anxiety proneness in college students and factors having influence on it Method: 200 college students were assessed with Social Anxiety Inventory, Shame-Proneness Scale, EQQ-short form, Coping Style Questionnaire, Beck Depression Scale, and Trait Anxiety Scale Result: Social anxiety of college students was influenced by shame-proneness, psychoticism and extroversion of personality Students with high social anxiety proneness were also more easily ashamed by their own behaviors Lack of negative coping styles also contributed to their proneness Low social anxiety proneness could be explained partially by three factors: psychoticism and extroversion personality, self-appraised trait anxiety Conclusion: Shame-proneness, psychoticism and extroversion personality are main factors having influence on social anxiety proneness Positive self-evaluation and coping style are helpful in reducing social anxiety

Objective To conduct a methodological evaluation on flowcytomotry fluorescence detection of serum CA242, and to evaluate its value in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Methods The blood samples of 40 cases of pancreatic cancer, 49 cases of other tumors, 48 cases of benign digestive diseases and 159 healthy volunteers were collected.Fowcytometry fluorescence immunoassay was used to detect serum level of CA242, and it was compared with routine ELISA method to measure its sensitivity and specificity. Results The detection limit of CA242 by flowcytometry fluorescence immunoassay was 0.89 U/ml, the linear range was 1~ 500 U/ml after confirmation. The within-batch CV was 3.37%~ 5.30%, between batch CV was 7.43% ~ 9.60%.When compared with routine ELISA, flowcytometry fluorescence immunoassay showed the equation of linear regression is Y =1.0398X-0.947, r =0.9687.Area under ROC curve was 0.811 ± 0.025 (95% CI 0.763 ~0.859), with 18.625 U/ml as the best cutoff value, the specificity was 92.0% and the sensitivity was 62.1%.Conclusions Flowcytometry fluorescence immunoassay for CA242 testing has the advantage of shorter detection time, miltiple sample and testing project detection, which is worth of clinical application.
