0.05).[Conclusion]The values of three-dimensional parameters in old femoral neck fracture patient are different with that of normal persons in the loading region of the femoral head although there is no difference in BMD values between them. This may provide new evidence to predict osteoporotic femoral neck fracture.

Objective To observe the effect of based biomimetic biphasic calcium phosphate(BCP)tissue engineered bone masses to repair the bone defects and prevent the collapse of femoral head in dogs. Methods Biomimetic BCP ceramic scaffolds was fabricated using three-dimensional(3D)gel-lamination technology according the micro-computed tomography(Micro-CT)information of cancellous bone of dogs' femoral heads.Tissue engineered bone masses were constructed by the combination of biomimetic BCP scaffolds and induced osteogenic bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs)in vitro. In 10 dogs, tissue engineered bone was implanted into the bone defect on the weight-bearing area of femoral head.In the control group of another 10 dogs, autogenous cancellous bone chips were impressed into the bone defect on the weight-bearing area of femoral head. The gross appearance and regeneration of new bone were observed in 30 weeks postoperatively. Results The fabricated biomimetic BCP scaffolds had better 3D structure. The trabecular system of the scaffolds had some orientation along the weight-bearing line of femoral head and represented plate-like model.BMSCs grow flourishing on the surface of the scaffolds. After 30 weeks operatively,in the tissue engineered bone implanted dogs, the gross appearances of the femoral head were integrity and a great lot of new bone tissue wraps the trabecula of the scaffolds under microscope. In the control group, the mostly femoral heads were collapse gross appearance. Conclusion Tissue engineered biomimetic BCP had better biocompatibility and could prevent the collapse of femoral head after it is implanted into the bone defects of femoral head.

: The management of peripheral nerve injury is a tough problem clinically.Intensive studies in the past were focused on the bridging of nerve defects and the improvement of regeneration rate. But actually the clinical results of functional recovery after peripheral nerve lesion is mainly decided by the accurate regeneration of axons to their original target tissues and structures. Therefore, better clinical results could be obtained by a greater understanding of the cellular and molecular biology of selective nerve regeneration and the application of this theory clinically. This paper summarized recent studies on the cellular and molecular biology mechanisms of peripheral nerve selective regeneration.

Objective To evaluate the value and security of the use of medical thoracoscopy in the diagnosis of elderly patients with un‐known pleural effusion and to analyze the finally pathological results .Methods STORZ medical thoracoscopy was used to retrospectively study the 68 patients with unknown pleural effusion .Multiple punch biopsy was taken in the questionable diseased regions under direct vi‐sion .The changes of patients′condition in intraoperative and postoperative ,and the causes of pleural effusion were observed .Results Sixty‐three cases were confirmed in 68 cases of patients with unexplained pleural effusion ,the diagnostic rate was 92 .6% .In all cases ,26 cases (38 .2% ) were tuberculosis ,31 cases (45 .6% ) were malignant tumor ,3 cases (4 .4% ) were chronic pus chest and Aspergillus infection in 1 case(1 .5% ) ,a large number of aspergillus hyphae were found in biopsy tissue .Non‐specific inflammatory changed in 7 cases (10 .3% ) ,in which 2 patients were eventually diagnosed with pleural effusion caused by pulmonary schistosomiasis ,and the rest cases were still un‐known .All cases had no serious complications .Conclusion Medical thoracoscopy have a good effect in diagnosing elderly patients with un‐explained pleural effusion ,which could be easily and safely performed .The primary cause of unexplained pleural effusion in elder patients may be malignant tumor ,followed by tuberculosis .

Objective To investigate the effect of oxygen free radical (OFR) on the injury of small intestine in rats treated with burn, sulfur mustard or sulfur mustard plus burn. Methods Totally 95 SD rats were randomly divided into four groups: 30 rats subjected to 30 third-degree TBSA scalding (B), 30 injected subcutaneously with 2 ml/kg sulfur mustard (S), 30 subjected to both (SB), 5 as normal controls (C). Activity of diamine oxidase (DAO) and superoxide dismutases (SODs), contents of malonaldehyde (MDA) in plasma, and pathological changes of ileum at 2, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72 h after injury were observed. Results Three treatments could induce significant decrease of activity of SODs (P

Objective:To analyze one case of delayed diarrhea caused by irinotecan. Methods:The pathogeny, mechanism, ge-netics and treatment of the case were analyzed. Results:Delayed diarrhea was the dose-limited toxicity of irinotecan, which was related with the cytotoxicity of the active metabolite 7-ethyl-10-hydroxycamptothecin (SN-38). Genetic polymorphism was one of important risk factors, especially UGT1A1 polymorphisms could be used as a predictor for the diarrhea. The pharmacotherapy of the diarrhea was ef-fective and rational, and the clinical pharmacist provided rational pharmaceutical care for the patient. Conclusion:It is very important to enhance pharmaceutical care for the patients treated with irinotecan.

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of electrolyzed oxidizing water(EOW) on the surface sterilization of indoor environment.METHODS Sterilized the surface of ground, wall, table, mob and thermostat-controlled water-bath in cell culture room and good laboratory practice(GLP) with EOW,then to draw the materials and culture with culture dish for 48 h in a 37℃ incubator, and count the colony number.Sterilization method and grouping: group A treated as a control, group B sterilized with EOW,group C sterilized with ultraviolate ray for 30 min and group D first treated with ultraviolate ray for 30 min, then sterilized with EOW.RESULTS In group A,the bacteria were overgrew and formed flakiness in 10/10 culture dishes;1 colony was formed in group B,the sterilization effective rate was 90%.The bacteria culture of group C found no bacteria growing after sterilization with ultraviolate ray, however, sample from surface and culture after sterilization were seen bacteria, though the number of bacteria was less than group A.The bacteria culture outcome of group D was negative.CONCLUSIONS The EOW has a good sterilization effect,it is safe and untoxic, costly cheap and convenient to use,and fit to claim of environmental protection.

Objective To know the contamination status of Giardia lamblia and Cryptosporidium in drinking water of Jiangsu Province,so as to provide the evidence for producing hygiene and safety drinking water. Methods A total of 28 water plants of 13 cities in Jiangsu Province were selected, and the source water(10 L),chlorinated water(100 L)and tap water(100 L) were collected separately in each site. The water samples were then treated by filtration, washing, centrifuging concentration, immune magnetic separation, and immunofluorescent assay,to detect the numbers of Giardia cysts and Cryptosporidium oocysts. Results Totally 84 samples from 13 cities were collected, including 28 source water,28 chlorinated water and 28 tap water samples. Among the chlorinated water and tap water samples,no Giardia cysts and Cryptosporidium oocysts were found. Howev-er,Giardia cysts were detected in 3(10.71%,3/28)source water samples(Yancheng,Lianyungang,Changzhou cities),with the density of 1 cyst/10 L of all. Cryptosporidium oocysts were also detected in 3(10.71%,3/28)source water samples(Nan-jing,Zhenjiang,Yangzhou cities),with the density of 1 oocyst/10 L of all. Conclusions The source water in partial areas of Ji-angsu Province has been contaminated by Giardia and Cryptosporidium. To ensure the safety of drinking, the regulation of source water and surveillance of drinking water should be strengthened.
