Objective To explore the methods of improving the immune function of dendritic cells(DCs) from patients with chronic type B hepatitis in vitro. Methods Monocytes from type B hepatitis patients and healthy controls were incubated with GMCSF and IL-4 and IFN-? to induce dendritic cells(DCs) generation.Then the nutrien-concentration sodium selenite was added for co-culture before the maturity of DCs.The samples were separated into three groups: hepatitis-B patients (group A),hepatitis-B patients with Se(group B),healthy control(group C).The phenotypes of DCs including CD80,CD86 were characterized by flow cytometry(FCM) and the response of allogeneic lymphocytes was detected by MTT assay.The concentration of cytokines in the supernatant such as IL-12 was tested by ELISA assay. Objective To research into the major influenced factors of psychological health of medical students and to discuss some rational measures.Method We reasonably analyzed the influenced factors of students psychological health in a Medicine University via instituted questionnaire and quantitative survey.Result Although there exists gender difference,the main influenced factors of psychological health are attributed to employment pressure,self-contempt,sense of frustration, poverty and emotional reverse.Conclusion Each university and each medical student should commit themselves to the education of psychological health.

Objective To understand the health level of people living in county and the situation between the requirement and utilization of health service for rural residents in Chongqing as well as the main influential factors by investigating the basic condition and hospitalization expenditure. Methods Three county hospitals were included in our study: county general hospital, Chinese traditional medicine hospital, and maternal care hospital. The hospitalized patients from the three hospitals were investigated on a certain day by questionaire and the data of discharged patients in a month were collected and analyzed by SAS8.0 software. Results Factors such as the hospital type, sex, age, the cost for sickbed, diagnosis and treatment fee and so on were significantly associated with the total cost for hospitalization. Expensive hospitalization fee harms the quantity and quality of health service required by rural residents. Conclusion The utilization rate of health service by female was lower than by male in rural area. The total utilization rate of health service has been improved since the new policy about rural health service was carried out. People over 45 years old are the main consumers of health service. Peasants are still main consumers to medical organization at county level. Suitable technic of health service for county hospitals should be carried out in time.

Objective To investigate the significance of procalcitonin(PCT),C-reactive protein(CRP),white blood cell(WBC) and other inflammatory markers in the diagnosis of pediatric patients with HFMD.Methods 138 cases of pediatric patients with foot and mouth disease(study group)and 50 cases of healthy children(control group)were recruited in the study.Procalcitonin (PCT),white blood cell(WBC),neutrophil count(NC),lymphocyte count(Ly),immunoglobulins,C-reactive protein and other indi-cators were determined and compared.Results PCT,CRP,WBC,NC,Ly% and IgM levels were higher in study group than those in control group,the differences were all statistically significant(P <0.05 );IgG,IgA levels in control group were lower than that in control group,the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion PCT,WBC,NC,Ly,CRP and IgA,IgG,IgM can provide experimental evidence for diagnosis of children with hand foot and mouth disease.

Objective: To investigate the effects of traditional Chinese medicine Baoyuanhuoxue Granula on the state of senile type Ⅱdiabetes before thrombus.Methods: 60 cases of selected senile type Ⅱdiabetes patients were divided into two groups,trial group(treatment with routine western medicine added Baoyuanhuoxue Granula;30 cases) and control group(treatment with simple western medicine; 30 cases).After two months,the changes of expression rate of blood viscosity, nail fold microcirculation and platelet aggregation,D-D,CD-62p and PAC-1 of patients in two groups before and after treatment were observed.Results: Baoyuanhuoxue Granula can reduce the expression rate of blood viscosity,platelet aggregation,D-D,CD-62p and PAC-1 obviously,and can improve nail fold microcirculation.Conclusion: Baoyuanhuoxue Granula can improve the state of senile type Ⅱdiabetes before thrombus.

The medical and health organization management information system at grass-root level and platform at county level for data exchange in Sichuan Province were designed and constructed according to the health information exchange service network in Sichuan Province and standard medical CDA file, in order to implement data exchange on the medical and health organization management information system at grass-root level and platform at county level, to insure the basic medical and health service for the public, and to improve their health level.

AIM: To investigate whether a pathological micro-environmental culture system consisting of cholestatic sera induces embryonic stem cells (ESC) to differentiate into hepatocyte-like cells in vitro, and select hepatic stem cells from differentiating embryonic stem cells. METHODS: Mouse ESC, E14 cell line, were cultured in Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium containing 106 U/L recombinant mouse leukemia inhibitory factor (rmLIF) and 10% FCS. After embryonic bodies formed by the hanging drop culture method, they were exposed to fibroblast growth factor-4 (FGF-4) and hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) for one week, and then placed to a pathological micro-environmental culture system consisting of 5% cholestatic sera and cultured for 2 weeks. Morphological examination, immunocytochemical staining of albumin and CK8/18 were carried out, and mRNA level of albumin and transthyretin were detected by RT-PCR. Glycogen storage and urea synthesis of the cells were tested with PAS staining and colorimetric assay, respectively. RESULTS: The proliferation of cells was inhibited at the early stage when cultured in a pathological micro-environmental culture system consisting of 5% cholestatic sera, but 2 weeks later, a large number of epithelial-like cell colonies were observed, which exhibited hepatocellular phenotype, expressing albumin and CK8/18, transcribing mRNA of albumin and transthyretin and synthesizing glycogen and urea. CONCLUSION: A pathological micro- environmental culture system consisting of 5% cholestatic sera could not only induce embryonic stem cells to differentiate into hepatocyte-like cells, but select hepatic stem cells from differentiating embryonic stem cells initially induced by FGF-4 and HGF in vitro as well.
