Professor Liu Shenlin is one of the famous traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) oncologists. Through his own experience in clinical practice , Prof . Liu has put forward the theory that the onset of gastric cancer is based on spleen deficiency , and presented with cancerous toxin , namely the theory of spleen-deficiency and toxin-accumulation. In addition , he had conducted clinical as well as basic research on this theory , which had received great progress. This article was aimed to conclude and explore the theory postulated by Prof. Liu in order to improve the clinical effects of TCM treatment in gastric cancer .

Objective To describe the phenotype of NK cells in Bama miniature pigs, and establish an efficient activation and culture method for porcine cytokine-induced killer ( CIK) cells in vitro. Methods The porcine peripheral blood mononuclear cells ( PBMCs) were isolated by Percoll gradient centrifugation, and the phenotype of NK cells was test-ed by detecting the CD2 + /CD8 + /CD3 - cell compartment. To establish an efficient activation and culture method for por-cine CIK cells, we optimized the culture conditions to improve the CIK activation efficiency. Results Using the optimized induction culture conditions, the ratio of CIK ( CD2 + /CD8 + /CD3 -) cells was up to 43. 63% at the fifth day, approxi-mately 5. 59 times increased compared with the initially separated PBMCs. Cell proliferation experiments showed that three obvious fluorescence peaks were observed on the fifth day. The results indicated that the induced CIK cells underwent three times cell division, in theory, about increased 8-fold compared with the initial separation of PBMCs. Furthermore, the qRT-PCR result of the surface markers of porcine NK cells also showed a similar variation tendency as the flow cytometry results. Conclusions Our findings demonstrate the successful establishment of an efficient activation and culture method for porcine CIK cells in vitro.

Objective To develop a real-time RT-PCR assay ( rRT-PCR) for efficient detection of duck hepatitis virus type 1 ( DHV-I) .Method According to the different gene sequences of DHV-I from different provinces download from NCBI and to find the conserved sequences.One pair of the specific primers and one TaqMan probe were designed. Then reaction parameters were optimized to develop a real-time RT-PCR assay ( rRT-PCR) .Results This developed rRT-PCR assay could detect 20 template copies of RNA, and its sensitivity was higher than that of the conventional RT-PCR. This rRT-PCR assay was found to be specific and able to detect DHV-I, and no positive results were observed when nucleic acid from Muscovy duck parvovirus, goose parvovims, Newcastle disease and avian influenza virus, egg drop syndrome virus, reticuloendotheliosis virus, duck Tembusu virus, poultry intestinal arc virus were used as rRT-PCR templates.The results of this developed rRT-PCR assay used for 100 duck clinical samples showed a positive rate of 92%, indicating that DHV exists in duck group of Jiangsu province in China.Conclusion This rRT-PCR assay can be used as a rapid tool for detection of DHV-I.

Objective To investigate the effects of Siwu decoction on the learning and memory abilities in mice with blood deficiency and the related mechanism.Methods The mice were randomly divided into five groups:normal control group,model control group,high-,medium-,and low-dose group of Siwu decoction.Blood deficiency mouse model was established by continuously cuttingtailand bleedingin model control group,high-,medium-,and low-dose group of Siwu decoction.The mice in high-,medium-,and low-dose group were intragastrically administrated with Siwu decoction of 2.5,5.0,10.0 g·kg-1 for 14 days,respectively.The erythrocyte counts (RBC),hemoglobin (HGB),red blood cell hematocrit (HCT) were detected before modeling,7 and 14 days after administration.The spatial learning and memory abilities were assessed using the T maze test.The spontaneous activities were assessed using locomotors activity detector.The levels of erythropoietin (EPO) content in serum and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in hippocampal tissue were detected by enzyme-linked immunousorbent assay.Results 5.0 and 10.0 g·kg-1Siwu decoction could increase RBC,HGB,HCT on the 7th and 14th day,2.5 g.kg-1Siwu decoction could increase RBC,HCT on 14th day,and each dosage of Siwu decoction could significantly increase the spontaneous activities of model mice with blood deficiency on the 7th and 14th day as compared with model control group (P ＜0.05 or P ＜0.01).Compared with model control group,the number of errorsin T Maze test were decreased significantly in high-,medium-,and low-dose groups (P ＜ 0.01).And the Siwu decoction had a tendency to reduce the hippocampal AChE levels,but when compared with the model control group there were no statistical differences (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Siwu decoction is benefit formemory and spatial learning in mice with blood deficiency,which may be related with higher serun EPO and lower hippocampal AChE expression.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of detection of IgM antibodies to EV71-infection patients,and compared characterisation of RT-PCR,IgM capture ELISA and neutralization test.Methods Virus RNA,neutralization titer and IgM antibody in 115 EV71-infection patients were detected by EV71 real-time RT-PCR kit( EV71-PCR kit),neutralization test,and EV71 IgM-capture ELISA kit (EV71-IgM kit),respectively.Results Using EV71-IgM kit,the detection rate was 80.9％ (93/115,95％ CI:72.5-87.6) among the 115 EV71-infection patients,and was 2.6％ among the 228 healthy children.Simultaneously,sera collected after 1-2 day of disease onset showed an IgM positivity of 70.4％ (38/ 54).The positive rate of EV71-PCR among these patients was 82.6％ (95/115,95％ CI:74.4-89.0),so there was no statistically significant differences between it and EV71-IgM kit.In addition,the detection rate in EV71-infection patients could increase to 92.2％ by combined detection of EV71-PCR and EV71-IgM kit.Conclusion EV71-IgM kit was a rapid and valuable way for the early diagnosis of EV71 infection,and could significantly improve detection rate for EV71 infection by combining with EV71-PCR kit.

Objective To evaluate the preventive effects of Haishe capsules on the conversion of amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) to Alzheimer's disease(AD).Methods Patients (n=120) with aMCI from our department were recruited and randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group (n=60 in each group).The treatment group was given 0.9 gram of Haishe capsules three times a day while the control group received no drug treatment.Data on the conversion ratio,memory and cognitive function were comparedbetween the groups in a 24-months follow-up.Results By the end of the study,12 patients in the treatment group and 15 in the control group dropped out.Valid data for 93 patients were available for statistical analysis (48 in the treatment group and 45 in the control group).The number of aMCI patients who converted to AD was 6,with a conversion ratio of 12.5％ (6/48);and the number of patients who went through conversion in the control group was 13,with a conversion ratio of 28.8％ (13/45).The difference in conversion between the two groups was statistically significant (x2 =3.83,P＜0.05).After 24 months,MMSE scores for the treatment group (25.52± 1.07) had no significant change compared with baseline levels,while MMSE scores for the control group decreased significantly(24.75--1.49) and were markedly lower than thosefor the treatment group (t=2.85,P＜0.05).MoCA scores for the treatment group (19.39 ±2.01) did not show decline until the end of the study,while those for the control group started to decrease about half way through the study and were lower than scores for the treatment group (t =2.41,P＜0.05).Compared with baseline levels,ADAS-Cogscores for the treatment group (7.62± 1.06) did not increase significantly during the course of the study.ADAS-Cogscores forthe control group were higher at both half way (7.70±0.75) and the end of the study (8.18±0.80)than base line levels,and there was a statistically significant difference in end-of-study ADAS-Cog scores between the two groups(t =-2.6,P＜ 0.05).Conclusions Haishe capsules not only effectively maintain memory and cognitive function,but also delay the conversion from aMCI to AD.

Objective To explore the real user experiences of patients with PICC catheter for PICC maintenance network in Shandong province.Methods Descriptive phenomenological methodology was adopted in this study.A semi-structured interview was conducted with 18 patients of PICC-line maintained in different hospitals from PICC maintenance network in Shandong province.We analysed the data by Colaizzi's phenomenological research method.Results The experiences of patients with PICC catheter for PICC maintenance network in Shandong province contain positive and negative aspects.The positive aspects were convenient medical treatment,cooperation in various level hospitals,progress of basic hospitals,and enthusiastic services;the negative aspects were personnel shortage,different levels of nurses and imperfect supporting system.Conclusions Patients with PICC maintenance network possessed positive experience,but the accessibility of PICC maintenance network should be further enhanced,specialized development should be promoted.Meanwhile,for the questions proposed by patients,some measures should be taken to improve the overall PICC maintenance service from various level hospitals in Shandong province and make the experience of patients better.These measures include strengthening the standardized training and quality control of PICC,improving the supporting system,and promoting the implementation of continuous nursing mode in the primary hospitals.

Objective: To explore the status of care quality evaluation in the built-in type institution that integrating pension and health care service and analyze the focus on nursing service and management,it aims to provide theoretical basis for nurse managers to implement scientific nursing management. Methods: Descriptive phenomenological methodology was adopted in this study,a semi-structured interview was conducted with 8 nurse managers from 7 built-in type institutions that integrating pension and health care service.Data were analyzed based on Colaizzi′ s phenomenological research method. Results: Two themes were extracted, including the status of care quality evaluation in the built-in type institution that integrating pension and health care service; key indicators of nursing quality in the built-in type institution that integrating pension and health care service. Conclusions Through in-depth interviews with 8 nurse managers, we suggest that state should attach importance to the quality inspection of nursing care in the built-in type institution that integrating pension and health care service, and explore the evaluation criteria for nursing quality,in order to ensure the safety of elderly care, and it also can provide a basis for the comparison between inter-agency nursing quality and promote healthy competition among institutions.

Objective:To investigate the status quo of a mobile nursing application acceptance of nurses, and analyze the influencing factors, so as to promote the application of a mobile nursing APP in clinic.Methods:On the principle of convenience sampling, 1207 participants from Shandong province were recruited to complete the self-designed questionnaire, including demographic data, smartphone use behavior and acceptance evaluation of the mobile nursing APP.Results:Average score of nurses' acceptance of a mobile nursing APP was 4.16±0.69. Multiple regression results showed that duty, use experience, recognition, smartphone self-efficacy and daily use time were the main factors affecting the acceptance of a mobile nursing APP for nurses ( t value was -7.132-22.678, P<0.05 or 0.01) and explained 39.1% of the total variation of the acceptance of mobile nursing app ( P<0.01). Conclusions:The acceptability of mobile nursing APP of clinical nurses is at a medium and high level, and it is influenced by the use experience, smartphone self-efficacy and other aspects, suggesting that nursing managers attach importance to the behavioral differences of nurses in using a mobile nursing APP.

Objective:To understand the current situation and demand of intracavity electrocardiographic positioning technique training for PICC specialist nurses in Shandong Province, and provide a reference for further improving and improving the training of PICC specialist nurses.Methods:From July 7-23, 2019, a total of 903 PICC specialist nurses in Shandong Province were selected by the convenience sampling method. The nurses were investigated by the self-made general information questionnaire of PICC specialist nurses in Shandong Province and the training demand questionnaire of intracavity electrocardiographic positioning technique.Results:40.75% (368/903) PICC specialist nurses had participated in intracavity electrocardiographic positioning technique training; 84.27% (761/903) PICC specialist nurses thought it necessary to conduct intracavity electrocardiographic positioning technique training. PICC specialist nurses had various training on intracavity electrocardiographic positioning technique, the average content requirements were all above 4.67 points. The highest score of theoretical training content was the judgment of the relationship between catheter tip position and electrocardiogram P wave (4.80 ± 0.47), and the highest score of operation training content was the intracavitary electrocardiography guided PICC catheterization (4.74 ± 0.55). 94.24%(851/903) PICC specialist nurses hoped to achieve the goal of improving clinical nursing practice ability through intracavity electrocardiographic positioning technique training. Intravenous therapy specialist academic conference was the main hoped training form(76.85%, 694/903). Multiple regression analysis showed that the number of years of catheterization, job position and understanding of the technology were the influencing factors of PICC specialist nurses′ training needs for intracavity electrocardiographic positioning technique ( t = -3.73,3.12, -3.63, all P<0.05). Conclusions:The training rate of intracavity electrocardiographic positioning technique was low, but PICC specialist nurses had higher training requirements for intracavity electrocardiographic positioning technique. Managers should pay attention to the training of intracavity electrocardiographic positioning technique, and develop targeted training programs to further improve the clinical practice capabilities of the PICC specialist nursing team.
