The rapid development of artificial intelligence technology has achieved a breakthrough in many disciplines. Artificial intelligence has a far-reaching significance in promoting the further development of laboratory medicine. At present, artificial intelligence technology has gradually penetrated into all processes of laboratory work, such as laboratory data processing, laboratory data mining and laboratory quality control. It not only improves efficiency, but also provides important information for clinical diagnosis and treatment supporting information. The functions of laboratory physicians are likely to undergo corresponding transition and adjustment in the future. Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of serum soluble transferrin receptor(sTfR) in children with iron deficiency anemia(IDA).Methods Sixty-three children with microcytic hypochromic anemia were divided into IDA and non-IDA(n-IDA)groups,on which sTfR and other iron metabolism related indexes such as serum ferritin(SF) and serum iron(SI) were measured,and(t-test) between groups and analysis of ROC curve were carried out.Results The mean concentration of sTfR in the group of IDA was above normal value and t-test difference was extremely significant compared with n-IDA group(P

Objective To summary the experience of management for orthotopic homologous heart transplantation,heart-lung co-transplantation and to discuss the postoperative treatment of short-term complications.Methods Orthotopic homologous heart transplantation and heart-lung co- transplantation on 9 cases were performed from May 2004 to February 2006.The patients were traced closely and all complications were treated in time.Results During hospital stay,hypertension oc- curred in one case,right heart insufficiency in one case,infection of mycetes and cytomegalovirus in 2 cases after the heart transplantation,and in the patient undergoing heart-lung co-transplantation,renal inadequacy,bronchial anastomosis stenosis and fungus infection occurred.All patients obtained symp- tomatic relief before discharge.Conclusion Proper perioperative management,immunosuppressive therapy and management of postoperative complications could reduce mortality and obtain satisfactory therapeutic effect in the near future.

Objective : To explore the mediating effect of sleep quality on mobile phone dependence and loneliness in university students, so as to provide evidence for prevention and intervention of mobile phone dependence. Methods : A survey was conducted from December 2019 and January 2020 among the students of Guangzhou Medical University. The general information questionnaire, mobile phone dependence index scale, UCLA loneliness scale and Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale were used to analyze the mediating effects of sleep quality on mobile phone dependence and loneliness. Results : A total of 575 questionnaires were distributed and 573 valid ones were collected, with an efficiency of 99.65%. The detection rate of 115 students with mobile phone dependence was 20.07%, and that of 203 students with sleep quality problems was 35.43%. The students scored ( 48.03±6.07 ) points in loneliness, and 405 of them had high level. Mobile phone dependence was positively correlated with loneliness and sleep quality ( r=0.299, 0.385, both P<0.05 ); loneliness was positively correlated with sleep quality ( r=0.553, P<0.05 ). Mobile phone dependence and sleep quality both could positively predict loneliness, mobile phone dependence could positively predict sleep quality, and sleep quality and gender had a significant interaction effect on loneliness ( all P<0.05 ). The mediating effect value of sleep quality on mobile phone dependence and loneliness was 0.290 ( 95%CI: 0.186-0.400 ) in males and 0.131 ( 95%CI: 0.084-0.187 ) in females. Conclusion Sleep quality has a mediating effect on mobile phone dependence and loneliness among university students. Male students are susceptible to the negative effects of mobile phone dependence.

Objective:To establish an HPLC method with dual wavelength detection for the determination of benzoic acid and cin-namic acid in Suhexiang pills. Methods:A Waters Sun Fire TM C18 column(150 mm × 4. 6 mm,5 μm) was adopted with 0. 1% ace-tic acid-methanol(60∶40) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1. 0 ml·min-1 . The detection wavelength was set at 228nm for benzoic acid(0-18min) and 285nm for cinnamic acid (18. 1-35min). The injection volume was 10μl, and the column temperature was room temperature. Results:The linear range of benzoic acid and cinnamic acid was 1. 0-50. 0 μg·ml-1(r=0. 999 7) and 0. 2-10. 0 μg· ml-1, respectively(r=0. 999 9). The average recovery was 96. 88%(RSD=1. 6%, n=9) and 99. 35%(RSD=1. 7%, n=9), re-spectively. Conclusion:The method is accurate, fast and simple in the determination of benzoic acid and cinnamic acid in Suhexiang pills.

Aim To investigate the protective effect of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells ( hUCM-SCs ) against Aβ-induced impairment in rats and the possible mechanism .Methods Male SD rats ( weight 210~230 g ) were divided randomly into five groups with ten in each:① control group ( con );② vehicle-control group ( sterile distilled water , v-con );③ hUC-MSCs-control group ( hUCMSCs-con );④ Aβinjury group ( injury );⑤ hUCMSCs treatment group ( hUCM-SCs) .Six-day Morris water maze behavioral task was employed to test the spatial learning and memory of the animals.Neuro-pathological evaluation under thionin stain was performed after behavioral task .The level of brain-derived neurotrophic factor ( BDNF ) and nerve growth factor ( NGF ) were tested through ELISA .Re-sults hUCMSCs enhanced the cognitive performance of Aβtreated rats, and reversed Aβ-induced cell loss in CA1 hippocampus.On the cellular level, hUCMSCs attenuated Aβinjection induced down-regulation of NGF and BDNF.Conclusion Administration of hUC-MSCs can reverse the behavioral and cellular impair-ment of Aβtreated rats, as well as the down-regulation of neurotrophins , thus exerting a neuronal protective effect, which provides a potential therapeutic strategy for disorders with learning and memory impairment , such as Alzheimer ’ s disease ( AD) .

AIM: To determine adenosine content in Kudiezi Injection(Ixeris sonchifolia Hance). METHODS: HPLC was used with Shim-pack CLC-ODS(6.0 mm?150 mm,5 ?m). The mobile phase consisted of methanol-acelonitrile-0.025 mol?L -1 phosphoric acid (3∶4∶93). The flow rate was 1 mL?min -1 . The UV detection wavelength was at 260 nm. RESULTS: The adenosin content in Kudiezi Injection was 0.15/10 mL. The average recovery was 98.4%(n=5). CONCLUSION: HPLC can be used for the quality control of Kudiezi Injection Injection.

BACKGROUND: Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is able to effectively treat the ischemic heart disease, but in vivo VEGF cannot be maintained effective concentration. OBJECTIVE: To detect the expression of VEGF mRNA and protein in human bone marrow mensenchymal stem cells transferred by VEGF-165 gene. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: The empirical study was conducted from March 2006 to April 2007 at Shanghai Chest Hospital. MATERIALS: Human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell line and VEGF were offered by Basic Laboratory, Thoracic Tumor Institute, Shanghai Chest Hospital. METHODS: hVEGF165 gene was reconstructed in pcPGK-vector and transferred into human bone marrow mensenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) by liposome-mediated method, clone screening by G418. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The mRNA and protein of VEGF gene in transferred cells was detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), Real time PCR, Western Blot, enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in 3 stem cells of pcPGK-VEGF165-IRES-GFP and pcPGK- IRES-GFP, respectively. RESULTS: pcPGK-hVEGF165 vector was reconstructed and transferred into hMSCs successfully. The expression of hVEGF165 in the transfected hMSCs was demonstrated with RT-PCR and Real time PCR. Western Blot and ELISA demonstrated that the expression of hVEGF165 in the transfected hMSCs and VEGF protein in supernatant were significantly more than untransfected hMSCs. CONCLUSION: hVEGF165 can be successfully transfected into BMSCs by using liposome mediated gene transfer. Stably expressed VEGF165 cell line can be obtained..

Objective: To determine quercetin and kaempferol in stamen neulumbinis by HPLC. Methods : Shim-pack CLC-ODS column was used. Mobile phase consisted of methanol-0.025% phosphate. UV detector wavelength was set at 370nm. Results : The chromatographic peaks of quercetin and kaempferol and other components were completely separated. The average recovery was 96.8% and RSD was 1.97%. Conclusion : The experiment provided new markers and a reliable method for the quality control of Stamen Neulumbinis.
