2.Comparison of the efficacy of skin rehabilitation therapies between comprehensive treatment and simple Chinese medicine steam spray after deep facial burn

Objective To study the efficacy of simple Chinese medicine steam spray and comprehensive rehabilitation nursing after facial burn deep Ⅱ degree.Methods 80 patients were randomized into the treatment group (40 cases) and the control group (40 cases).The treatment group was given the treatment of Chinese medicine steam spray.The control group was given the treatment of Chinese medicine steam spray,pressure therapy,physical therapy,rehabilitation training and psychotherapy.The clinical efficacy of two groups was evaluated respectively after 3 months.Results After 3 months,the skins of most of patients in the treatment group were nearly normal with no pigmentation and scar hyperplasia.The cure rate was 72.5 %,the obvious effective rate was 12.5 %,and the effective rate was 7.5 %.Some patients in the control group were lightly and inconspicuously pigmented,but the pigmentation area was reduced.The colour of their skins was not different from that of the normal skin.The cure rate was 42.5 %,the obvious effective rate was 12.5 %,and the effective rate was 25.0 %.The effects of the two groups were significant differences (P<0.05).Conclusions Comprehensive rehabilitation nursing after the facial burn can reduce the pigmentation and scar hyperplasia and improve the quality of life.
3.The application of case-centered teaching method in biochemistry teaching

To investigate the effect of the case-centered teaching method in biochemistry teaching. 47 students were divided into two groups :the study group and the control group.The casecentered teaching method was used in the studying group.The control group was taught by traditional method.The final examination showed that the results of the studying group were better than the control group.
4.Expressions of TFF1 and TFF3 in prostate cancer and prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia and their clinical significance.

OBJECTIVETo explore the expressions of trefoil factor 1 (TFF1) and trefoil factor 3 (TFF3) in prostate cancer (PCa) and prostate intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN) and their clinical significance.
METHODSUsing immunohistochemistry, we detected the expressions of TFF1 and TFF3 in the prostatic tissues of 89 cases of PCa, 50 cases of PIN, and 65 cases of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH), and evaluated their clinical significance.
RESULTSThe positive rates of TFF1 and TFF3 expressions were 77. 53% and 48. 31% in PCa and 66.00% and 30.00% in PIN, significantly higher than 49.23% and 13. 85% in BPH (P <0. 05). The expression of TFF1 was not correlated with Gleason score (P >0. 05), while that of TFF3 was significantly higher in the PCa cases with Gleason score ≤7 than in those with Gleason score > 7 (70. 00% vs 42. 03%, P <0. 05). No significant correlation was observed between TFF1 and TFF3 expressions in PCa (P >0. 05).
CONCLUSIONThe expressions of TFF1 and TFF3 may contribute to the occurrence and progression of PCa, and therefore could be used as laboratory indexes in the diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and prognosis of PCa.

6.Identification of nuclear localization signals of pseudorabies virus gene UL49.

Tegument protein VP22 is encoded by Pseudorabies Virus (PRV) UL49. To identify the nuclear localization signals of UL49, it is necessary to determine the transport mechanism and biological functions of the VP22 protein. In this study, we identified two nuclear localization signals from UL49, NLS1 (5RKTRVA ADETASGARRR21) and NLS2 (241PGRKGKV247). The functional nuclear localization signal (NLS) of UL49 was identified by constructing truncated or site-specific UL49 mutants. The deletion of both NLS1 and NLS2 abrogated UL49 nuclear accumulation, whereas the deletion of NLS1 or NLS2 did not. Therefore, both NLS1 and NLS2 are critical for the nuclear localization of UL49. And our resuts showed that NLS2 is more important in this regard.

9.Contrast-enhanced Digital Subtraction MRI in Vertebral Metastases

Objective To evaluate the clinical application of contrast-enhanced digital subtraction MRI in vertebral metastases.Methods 50 patients with vertebral metastases were scanned by contrast-enhanced T_1WI with an injection of Gd-DTPA(0.1 mmol/kg).Digital subtraction were performed between post-contrast-enhanced images and pre-contrast-enhanced images.Vertebral metastases were evaluated by means of a contrast to noise ratio(CNR) and signal to noise ratio(SNR),and boundaries were compared between subtraction MRI images and conventional contrast T_1WI MR images.Results Contrast-enhanced digital subtraction MRI images were better than conventional contrast T_1WI MR images in showing the lesions. 10. Comparison of Four Statistical Tools for Running Four-Parameter Logistic Model in the Establishment of Endotoxin Standard Substance

OBJECTIVE: To study the algorithm of four-parameter logistic regression and apply the model in the potency calibration of bacterial endotoxin standard. METHODS: The potency of endotoxin reference standard was estimated by a novel monocyte activation test,HL60-IL6 assay.The endotoxin national standard was set as standard, while the endotoxin working standard was set as test. The four-parameter logistic model was fitted by the method of nonlinear least squares when observations of standard or sample solutions were plotted against endotoxin concentration. The algorithm was performed by C Language, the RESULTS: of which were compared by those of softmax, R Language as well as Microsoft Office Excel. RESULTS The estimated parameters as well as estimated potency were parallel between the four statistical tools. The goodness-of-fit were all over 0.99.The variance was within 0.1%. CONCLUSION: The four-parameter logistic model can be established by the four statistical tools. Researchers can select a suitable tool according to demands.
