The effects of DL-tetrahydropalmatine andsinomemine on the activity of oviduct smooth mus-cle and ovum transport in rabbits are reported inthis paper. The results indicate that the two a-gents apparently inhibit the contractile activity ofoviduct isthmic smooth muscle of rabbit in vitroand decrease the frequency, amplitude, tensionand curve areas of the contraction. The contractileffect induced by noradrenaline is also inhibited re-markbly by them. In addition, DL-THP and Sino.can delay ovum transport in rabbit oviduct after ivHCG 48 h. It is suggested that the inhibition ofactivity of oviduct smooth muscle may be one ofthe important causes of delaying egg transportcaused by the two agents.

Objective To study the effect of the genetic factors on the occurrence and development of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) and its general genetic pattern.Methods 21 T2DM cases,as proband,were investigated for T2DM genealogical tree.The heritability of T2DM was estimated by Falconer method.T2DM segregation rate and genetic pattern were evaluated with Penrose's method,Li-Mantel-Gart method and the threshold value model method of Jiang San-Duo.Results The prevalent rate of T2DM in first-degree relatives was 7.6%,which was higher than that in general population.The heritability of T2DM was 46.8%.The s/q score was 3.312 with Penrose's method,which was near to 1/q1/2.The segregation rate P was 0.131,which was lower than 0.25.The theoretical prevalent rate in first relatives was 8.0%,while the investigated prevalent rate was 7.6%.Conclusion There is an obvious heritable trend in T2DM.It is fit to the multi-factorial inheritance pattern but the mono-gene heritability model.

Objective To explore the effects of expressing human ciliary neurotrophic factor (hCNTF) mediated by retroviral vector in olfactory ensheathing cells(OECs) on the survival and neurite outgrowth of cultured neurons. Methods S\|hCNTF fragment was digested with endonucleases(Kpn I and Xba I) from pcDNA\-3\|S\|hCNTF plasmid and cloned into pRev\|TRE vector.The harvested pRev\|TRE\|hCNTF was identified and transfected with pRev\|Tet\|On into ecotropic Ecopack\|293 cells,resulting in 2 retroviral supernatants(pRev\|TRE\|hCNTF and pRev\|Tet\|On).Primarily cultured rat olfactory ensheathing cells(OECs) were co\|infected with the 2 retroviruses,and induced to secrete hCNTF with different concentrations of doxycline.The secreted hCNTF in OEC culture supernatant was detected with Western\|blot.Dorsal root ganglion (DRG) from a postnatal rat of 2 days was co\|cultured with CNTF\|modified OECs,and the supernatant was used to culture retinal ganglion cells(RGCs).Following ?\|tubulin immunocytochemical staining,the length of DRG neurites were measured,while the numbers of surviving RGCs were counted. Abstract?AlM:To investigate the effects of the MUC5AC levels and ocular function of the patients with glaucoma and cataract with combined surgery.? METHODS: Twenty - eight patients treated with glaucoma and cataract combined surgery were chosen as the observation group from December 2011 to June 2014 in our hospital, and other 28 cases of glaucoma and cataract did not undergo surgical treatment were selected as the control group, 30 healthy subjects were as healthy control group. the MUC5AC level and ocular surface score of the three subjects before surgery 1d, after 3 and 6mo were compared.?RESULTS: The NUC5AC of the two groups of patients was significantly lower than that of the healthy control group before surgery (P<0. 05), the ocular function score was significantly higher than the healthy control group ( P<0. 05). After 1mo, the MUC5AC of the observation group were significantly lower than that of before surgery ( P<0. 05), after 3mo MUC5AC content gradually increased to preoperative levels, after 6mo the MUC5AC were significantly higher than before surgery (P<0. 05). After 1mo, ocular function scores were significantly higher than the preoperative ( P< 0. 05 ), while after 3mo, ocular function scores decreased after 6mo of ocular surface function scores were significantly lower than the preoperative (P<0. 05). While the control group after 6mo, with the passage of time, the MUC5AC content gradually reduce, ocular function score increased gradually. ?CONCLUSlON:To treat the patients with glaucoma and cataract with combined surgery, the level of MUC5AC can temporary decrease. Ocular function score can temporary increase in, but after 3mo, it can be gradually improved.
