1.Managing a 14-year-old Female Teenager Presenting with a Sexually Transmitted Infection - What are the Issues Involved?
The Singapore Family Physician 2013;39(2):44-48
In Singapore, sexual intercourse with a minor is an offence. An individual, who has knowledge of such an offence, is legally obliged to inform the authorities. This case study involved a minor who suffered from a sexually transmitted disease (STD) after sexual exposure. With her approval, the attending primary care physician reported the offence to the police using an on-line service. The case study also serves to illustrate the ethical and legal issues relating to her management.
2.Therapeutic Efficacy of Xinyi Biyan Pills Combined with Budesonide in the Treatment of Allergic Rhinitis and Its Effects on Related Inflammatory Factors
China Pharmacy 2017;28(18):2483-2485
OBJECTIVE:To observe therapeutic efficacy of Xinyi biyan pills combined with budilaide in the treatment of aller-gic rhinitis and its effects on related inflammatory factors. METHODS:A total od 120 patients with allergic rhinitis were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 60 cases in each group. Control group was treated with Budesonide nasal spray, spraying once each nostril(64 μg/spray),2 times a day. Observation group was additionally treated with Xinyi biyan pills 3 g,3 times a day. Treatment course lasted for 4 weeks. Clinical efficacies of 2 groups were observed and compared. The changes of total score of clinical symptoms and signs were observed before and after treatment. The contents of IgE and LTE4 were deter-mined,and the occurrence of ADR was recorded. RESULTS:Three patients of observation group and 4 patients of control group fell of the study. Total response rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group, with statistical signifi-cance (84.21% vs. 73.21%,P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no statistical significance in total score of clinical symptoms and signs,IgE and LTE4 levels between 2 groups (P>0.05). After 2 and 4 weeks of treatment, total score of clinical symptoms and signs,IgE and LTE4 levels in 2 groups were significantly lower than before treatment, and the observation group was signifi-cantly lower than control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). No obvious ADR was found in 2 groups. CONCLU-SIONS:Xinyi biyan pills combined with budesonide show good therapeutic efficacy for allergic rhinitis, improve clinical symp-toms and signs significantly and reduce inflammatory factors levels with good safety.
3.Advance in treatment of hyperuricemia by Chinese medicine based on uric acid transporterome.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(22):4346-4350
With the development of the quality of life, the morbidity of hyperuricemia is increasing year by year. At the same time, it appears that this disease attacks the young people currently. As the study of pathogenesis of hyperuricemia advanced, a series of uric acid transporters were found during this process. Meanwhile, the definition of transporterome was proposed. They were divided into three groups according to the functions: reabsorption proteins, excretion proteins and skeleton proteins. At moment, the drugs for hyperuricmia mainly include uric acid composition inhibitors and uric acid excretion promoters. Since the excretion of uric acid plays a leading role during the process of attack of hyperurecimia, it makes sense to explore Chinese medicines with clear mechanism targeting the transporterome. Therefore, this paper would focus on transporterome and summarize the mechanisms of Chinese medicines in treating hyperuricemia.

5.Advance in Cerebral Ischemic Model with Middle Cerebral Artery Occlusion in Rats(review)
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(11):939-940
The middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) in rats remained a focus cerebral ischemic model that is non-incisioned,reliable,as well as the ischemic and refusion time can be controlled, which is widely used since it was created. However, because it is needed complex operations, associatied with many factors,it is difficult to establish. Many scholars have modified the operation, shape of the occlusion line,as well as the variety, narcotic drugs and so on.

Chinese Journal of Urology 2000;0(01):-
Objective To study the antitumor mechanisms of pirarubicin (THP) and its effect on preventing postoperative recurrence of superficial bladder cancer. Methods MTT assay, flow cytometry and transmission electron microscope were used to assess the effects of different concentration of THP on T24 cell line. THP 40 mg in 50 ml distil water was used intravesically in 60 patients with transitional cell carcinoma after TURBT to prevent tumor recurrence. Results T24 cells were suppressed significantly by THP in concentrations of 10 mg/L and 100 mg/L,the suppressive rates being 80% and 94% respectively. Apoptosis peak was evident before G1 phase. The characteristics of cell apoptosis, such as bubble formation in cytoplasm and condensed chromosome, were typically manifested. Cells became necrotic when the concentration of THP was 1 000 mg/L. One course of THP intravesical administration was completed in 58 cases. All patients were followed up for a mean of 18.8 months (range 6~24 months), and tumor recurred only in 5 cases (8.6%). Conclusions Suppression of tumor cell growth and inducing apoptosis, even necrosis, might be the main antitumor mechanisms of THP. Clinically, intravesical administration of THP after TURBT was effective and safe for preventing tumor recurrence.

Chinese Journal of Cancer Biotherapy 1995;0(03):-
HSU17714 gene is a novel human colorectal carcinoma related gene isolated by subtractive hybridization method. The recombinant antisense expressive plasmid of HSU17714 gene was constructed by inserting the partial sequence (2612 bp) of this gene into the multiple cloning site of the vector pREP9 inversely. Then, it was transferred into human colon adenocarcinoma cells (SW1116) through liposome mediation. Obtained from the two-layer soft agarose culture test, flowcytometry test and cell growth rate detection, the data indicated that the antisense HSU17714 could inhibit the growth of SW1116 cells at different degrees. So, a conclusion could be drawn that the antisense HSU17714 gene expressive vector plays a role in the inhibition of SW1116 cell growth.
10.Clinical analysis of lower respiratory tract fungal infection in patients with mechanical ventilation in emergency intensive care unit
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(08):-
Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics, pathogen distribution and outcome of lower respiratory tract fungal infection in patients with mechanical ventilation in emergency intensive care unit(EICU). Methods The clinical data of patients with lower respiratory tract fungal infection treated with mechanical ventilation in EICU were retrospectively analysed. Results Eighty(64.5%) of the 124 patients with mechanical ventilation experienced lower respiratory tract infection, among whom 21(26.2%) were complicated with fungal infection. The predominant pathogen was Candida(Candida albicans,n=11;Candida tropicalis,n=5;Candida smooth,n=3;Candida parapsilosis,n=2).Compared with patients with non-fungal infection(n=59),those with fungal infection(n=21) had higher APACHE II score, longer mechanical ventilation time and longer ICU stay duration(P
