1.Relationship between mechanical properties of fiber resin post-core system and different dental remaining tissues
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(25):4038-4042
BACKGROUND:The dental remaining tissue is closely related to fracture resistance ability of the fiber resin post. OBJECTIVE:To compare the effect of different dental remaining tissues on fatigue resistance of the fiber resin post using in vitro stress analysis method. METHODS:A total of 36 single rooted mandibular premolars were randomly divided into four groups. Upon finishing standardized root canal therapy, tooth preparation was performed on al four groups. Group A:transverse grinding of the crown on datum plane. Group B:coronal oblique distal, middle and proximal defects with the dentin col ar height of 2 mm at the distal end, and dentin col ar height of 0 mm when gradual y reduced to the proximal end. Group C:transverse missing of dental crown, leaving healthy dentin with 2 mm. Group D:retention of complete dental tissues on the dental crown. Routine bonding treatment was performed after the preparation in each group, and the Para post fiber lux glass fiber post was then implanted. Dynamic mechanical loading equipment was used to analyze the fracture resistance value of the four groups. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The loading value was as fol ows:Group D>Group C>Group B>Group A, and significant differences were found between two groups (P<0.05). The four model fracture forms were as fol ows:coronal oblique fracture, dental cervix transverse fracture, tooth cervical oblique fracture and root fracture. In the Group A, there were seven cases of dental cervix transverse fracture and two cases of oblique fracture. In the Group B, there were four cases of coronal oblique fracture and five cases of oblique fracture of dental cervix. In the Group C, there were six cases of oblique fracture of dental cervix and three cases of root fracture. In the Group D, there were seven cases of oblique fracture of dental cervix and two cases of root fracture. The result explains that the occlusal stress wil be transferred from cervix to the root when there are enough remaining dental tissues;overal levels reduce, and the strength of fiber post increases. Therefore, it is suggested clinical y to save as much dental tissues as possible.

3.Expression and significance of human defensin-alpha1-3 in breast cancer
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(10):-
Objective To investigate the expression of human defensin-alpha1-3 (HNP1-3) in breast cancer and in normal tissues and determine whether there exists a relationship between HNP1-3 expression and clinicopathologic features. Methods Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression levels of HNP1-3 in 59 breast cancer specimens, and 20 normal tissues (fibroadenoma of breast or tumor-adjacent tissues). The relationship of the expression levels of HNP1-3 with patient’s age, clinical stage, histological grade, lymph node metastases and expression of PR/ER/C-erB-2 was analyzed. Results High level expression of HNP1-3 (95%) was expressed in those normal breast tissues.Different expression of HNP1-3 was found in breast cancer specimens and closely correlated with tumor histological stage and lymph node metastases (P
4.Relationship of obesity with metabolic syndrome
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2006;0(13):-
Objective To investigate the relationship of obesity with metabolic syndrome. Methods Six hundred and ninety-seven patients were chosen from the routine physical check-up from 2003 to 2005.These cases were divided into three groups according to body mass index(BMI).The detection rate of high triglyceride(TG) and low level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) were compared among groups of different BMI levels. The detection rate of hyperglycemia, hyperuricemia and high blood pressure among groups of different BMI levels was compared. Results With BMI increasing, the detection rate of high TG and low HDL-C also increased. The difference among three groups was statistically significant(P
6.Mental therapy of women perimenopausal period syndrome
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2004;10(7):430-431
Objective To observe curative effect of mental therapy on women perimenopausal period syndrome. Methods 100 patients with perimenopausal period syndrome were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group with 50 cases in each group. Patients of the treatment group were treated by Cryzanolam, Surazepam, etc,and mental therapy was given simultaneously twice one week. Patients of the control group were treated only by drugs. The period of treatment was four weeks. The curative effect was assessed by SCL-90 symptom self evaluation scales. Results Several factors and total average points of two groups' SCL-90 all dropped, and there was significant difference between two groups after therapy (P<0.01). For patients of the treatment group, clinic symptoms were markedly abated after treatment (P<0.05), and average scores of several factors were not significantly different from normal adults (P>0.05). Conclusion The mental therapy can remit symptoms of women perimenopausal period syndrome effectively and improve their healthy.

Objective To investigate the mRNA expressions of IFN-gamma receptor and TNF-alpha receptor in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of patients with psoriasis vulgaris and their role in the pathogenesis of psoriasis. Methods Fifty patients with psoriasis vulgaris (37 cases of active psoriasis and 13 cases of stable psoriasis) and 24 healthy human controls were included in this study. PBMCs were isolated from blood samples obtained from all patients and controls. The mRNA expressions of IFN-gamma receptor and TNF-aipha receptor in PBMCs were detected by RT-PCR. The disease severity in patients was evaluated by psoriasis area and severity index (PASI). Results The mRNA expressions of IFN-gamma receptor and TNF-alpha receptor were observed in the PBMCs of all subjects. The mRNA expression levels of IFN-gamma receptor were 0.72 ± 0.17 in healthy controls, 1.11 ± 0.55 in all patients with psoriasis, 1.13 ±0.57 in patients with active psoriasis and 1.03 ± 0.52 in patients with stable psoriasis, respectively. A signifi-cant increase was observed in the expression levels of IFN-gamma receptor mRNA in all psoriatic patients and in patients with active psoriasis compared with those in healthy controls (both P < 0.05), but there was no significant difference between the healthy controls and patients with stable psoriasis (P > 0.05). The expres-sion levels of TNF-alpha receptor mRNA were 2.05 ± 1.34 in healthy controls, 2.70 ± 3.80 in all psoriatic patients, 2.90 ± 4.40 in patients with active psoriasis, 2.14 ± 1.05 in patients with stable psoriasis, respectively;there was no significant difference between psoriatic patients and healthy controls (P > 0.05). However, no correlation was found between the mRNA expression of IFN-gamma receptor, that of TNF-alpha receptor, and disease severity in psoriatic patients. Conclusions The mRNA expression of IFN-gamma receptor in PBMCs is up-regulated in patients with psoriasis vulgaris, which is unrelated to the activity of psoriasis.
