BACKGROUND: Heal-all oral biofilm is a material utilized in repairing oral mucosa and soft tissues defects and characterized by degradation, easily preparation, long preserved duration, convenient transportation and good ossification, which has been widely used in dental implant as guided bone regeneration materials.OBJECTIVE: To check the clinical effective of Heal-all oral biofllm on guided bone regeneration in dental implant.METHODS: A total of 72 patients with bone defects in the implantation area were selected as subjects, who were divided into control group and experimental group at random. Bone defects around implants were repaired by guided bone regeneration technique with BME-10X medical collagen membrane and Heal-all oral biofilm respectively. X-ray and clinical examination were taken at 1 and 3 months after implantation. The amount of new.formed bone tissue was evaluated when stage Ⅱ operation was performed.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: In stage Ⅱ operation, osseointegration was formed between implants and bone tissue in all 72 patients. The average rate of bone formation was 92% in the experimental group while 91% in the control group. All implants were successfully repaired with implant denture. Occlusal function was restored successfully with all 72 implants during the follow-up period of 3-24 months after restoration. As an alternative option of BME-10X medical collagen membrane, Heal-all oral biofilm can be used in guided bone formation clinically.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2013;(33):5988-5994
BACKGROUND:Previous studies have confirmed the presence of bis-(3'-5')-cyclic dimeric guanosine
monophosphate signaling pathway in Streptococcus mutans, which construct the streptococcus mutans gcp gene knockout strains.
OBJECTIVE:To compare the gene expression differences between Streptococcus mutans wild strains and gcp mutant strains, and to screen the biofilm-related genes from them for the fol ow-up study.
METHODS:The total RNA of two kinds of strains were extracted and stained with cy3 and cy5 respectively after reverse transcription. The gene chip was scanned after hybridization and the differential gene were obtained
through the data analysis. The different expression genes were verified by real-time PCR.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Differential genes were mainly relative about glucose metabolism and biofilm formation. We selected two genes for real-time PCR verification. The PCR results were consistent with the
microarray results. After Streptococcus mutans gcp gene knockout, the gene expressions of gcp mutant strains were upregulated and the gene expressions of phosphotransferase system were downregulated, this result
suggested that two different genes were related with the c-di-GMP signal pathway downstream.

Methods 25 pair of donors and receptors of liver transplantation were divided in to two groups:with M HV group (group A, n= 14) and without main MHV (group B, n=11). The volumes of Ⅴ and Ⅷ segments of liver were measured in donors presurgicaUy,half month and 3 month in receptors postsurgically, the rates of regeneration of the Ⅴ and Ⅷ segment were calculated half month and 3 months postsurgically and compared between two groups. Results In group A,the regenerate rates of the Ⅴ,Ⅷ segment were 0.360±0.043 and 0.853±0.059 half month after surgery,0.253±0.043 and 0.708±0.059 three months after surgery respectively. In group B, the regenerate rates of the Ⅴ,Ⅷ segment were 0.306±0.049 and 0.815±0.066, respectively half month after graft, 0.161±0.049 and 0.627±0.066, respectively three months after surgery. There were no statistically significant differences in regenerate rates of the Ⅴ, Ⅷ segment of graft be-tween the two groups (P= 0.685 ,P>0.05 and P= 0.738, P>0.05). Conclusion The right lobe living donor liver transplantation, maintaining the MHV or reconstruct MHV tributaries without MHV has similar effects on the regeneration of Ⅴ,Ⅷ segment of graft.

A Co2+ ion-mediated formaldehyde imprinted polymer ( MIP) was prepared by coordination polymerization method in present work and its surface structure characterized by using IR spectrum and scanning electron microscope ( SEM). Inversed phase gas chromatography ( IGC) technique using this formaldehyde imprinted polymer as stationary phase was utilized to investigate on the retention selectivity, isotherm adsorption and adsorption thermodynamics for this imprint material toward the template and its structural analogue. Also, the ability of this polymer in the removal of formaldehyde from room atmosphere was explored. Results indicated that the capacity of the template on the molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) column was much higher than that of aldehyde and the lower column temperature and flow rate of carrier gas was beneficial for the selective retention of imprint material toward the template molecule, possessing a higher capacity factor of 61. 1 for the template and a higher separation factor of 10. 66 for this imprint polymer toward formaldehyde and aldehyde under the optimized chromatographic conditions ( column temperature: 363 K;flow rate of carrier gase: 7. 0 mL/ min; injection volume: 3. 0 μL). An approximate linear adsorption isotherm for the template and a BET Ⅲ one for the analogue on the MIPs was observed. In addition, this molecularly imprinted polymer was shown with higher capability in the removal of formaldehyde from room atmosphere.

OBJECTIVETo establish HEK293 cell lines with stable expression of human parathyroid hormone (PTH) receptors.
METHODSThe purified gene fragments of PTH-related peptide receptor (PTHR) and its mutant form (DSEL) were cloned separately into pcDNA3.1(+) vector after digestion with EcoR I and Not I, and the resulted pcDNA3.1(+)-PTHR and pcDNA3.1(+)-DSEL plasmids were verified by restriction enzyme digestion and DNA sequencing. HEK293 cells were transfected with these plasmids and the expression of PTHR and DSEL in the cells were examined by RT-PCR and ELSIA.
RESULTSSequencing and restriction enzyme digestion analysis showed that PTHR and DSEL cDNAs were correctly cloned into pcDNA3.1(+)vector. After a 48-h transfection of HEK293 cells with the recombinant plasmids and G418 selection, the positive cell clones stably expressing the constructs were obtained, which showed expressions of PTHR and DSEL mRNAs detected by RT-PCR. These positive cells showed high levels of PLC and aAMP production in response to PTH stimulation.
CONCLUSIONThe HEK293 cell lines with stable expression of PTH1R or DSEL gene established in this study provide useful cell models for studying the physiological functions of PTH peptides.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2024;28(36):5846-5851
BACKGROUND:In clinical practice, the anterior superior iliac spine and posterior superior iliac spine are usually located by palpation, and the tilt of the pelvis is determined by visual observation method or photogrammetry.Among them, the visual observation method can only have qualitative conclusions, and its reliability is poor. The photogrammetry is not only more convenient and fast, but also can give more accurate quantitative data, which is one of the best clinical evaluation methods. However, there are no studies on the reliability of pelvic posture assessment using photogrammetry in China. OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the pelvic posture by visual observation method and photogrammetry, and to compare the reliability level of the two methods to guide clinical application. METHODS:Forty-five healthy subjects were selected and red marks were made at the bilateral anterior superior iliac spine and posterior superior iliac spine.Pelvic posture was photographed from the front, back(coronal plane),left, and right(sagittal plane). The left and right pelvic tilt angles(α,β angles)were selected from the front and back views, which represented the angle between the bilateral anterior superior iliac spine line or the bilateral posterior superior iliac spine line and the horizontal line. The anterior and posterior pelvic tilt angles(γ,θ angles)were selected from the side view, which represented the angle between the ipsilateral anterior superior iliac spine and posterior superior iliac spine line and the horizontal plane, indicating the sagittal plane pelvic tilt.Evaluation methods included visual observation method and photogrammetry. Two evaluators independently evaluated the pelvic α,β,γ,θ angles using the visual observation method first, and then recorded the pelvic α,β,γ,θ angles using the photogrammetry. After a one-month interval, the visual observation method and photogrammetry were performed again, and the pelvic α,β,γ,θ angles were recorded. The intraclass correlation coefficients were used to analyze the data obtained from the two evaluation methods and the before-and-after measurements:0.90-0.99 as an excellent correlation,0.80-0.89 as a good correlation,0.70-0.79 as a moderate correlation,and≤0.69 as a poor correlation. The standard error of measurement and the minimal detectable change with 95%confidence intervals were calculated to evaluate the inter-rater and intra-rater reliability. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)The interrater intraclass correlation coefficients of the visual observation method and photogrammetry were as follows:anterior view:0.682 and 0.718,posterior view:0.513 and 0.867,left view:0.739 and 0.960,and right view:0.756 and 0.971.The visual observation method showed poor correlation between the anterior and posterior views and moderate correlation between the left and right views, while the photogrammetry showed moderate correlation for the anterior view, good correlation for the posterior view, and excellent correlation for the left and right views. The standard error values of measurement were as follows:anterior view:3.266 and 1.625,posterior view:4.278 and 1.763,left view:5.935 and 1.787,and right view:5.723 and 1.698.The minimal detectable change values with 95%confidence intervals were as follows:anterior view:9.053 and 4.504,posterior view:11.858 and 4.887,left view:16.451 and 4.953,and right view:15.863 and 4.707.(2)The interrater intraclass correlation coefficients of the visual observation method and photogrammetry were as follows:anterior view:0.452 and 0.723,posterior view:0.483 and 0.904,left view:0.518 and 0.955,and right view:0.657 and 0.968.The visual observation method showed poor correlation in all four directions, while the photogrammetry showed moderate correlation for the anterior view and excellent correlation for the other three directions. The standard error values of measurement were as follows:anterior view:5.651 and 1.610,posterior view:4.237 and 1.523,left view:7.322 and 1.891,and right view:6.509 and 1.781.The minimal detectable change values with 95%confidence intervals were as follows:anterior view:15.664 and 4.463,posterior view:11.744 and 4.222,left view:20.296 and 5.242,and right view:18.042 and 4.937.(3)These results confirm that the sagittal and coronal plane photogrammetries have good intrarater and interrater reliability for evaluating pelvic posture, especially with the use of the photogrammetry, which has good data stability. This method is simple,fast,efficient,accurate,low-cost,and does not cause X-ray damage, and can qualitatively and quantitatively reflect the actual situation of the patient's pelvis, making it suitable for clinical use.
