1.The function of caveolins in neoplasia and its progressing
China Oncology 2001;0(05):-
Caveolin,a membrane protein of 21-24 k,is the main structural component of caveolae,it plays quite a diverse functional role in maintaining vital activities of cells like endocytosis, cholesterol transport, cell membrane composition, and transduction of transmembrane signal to some virus involved in the processes of virus infection.Caveolin-1 also is a key regulator of multiple steps of oncogenesis and tumor development.Caveolin-1 can also serve as a negative regulator in proliferation, apoptosis, invasion and metastasis in varieties of cancer cells. There are some conflicting roles in different tumors, this review summarized the recent advances in the function of caveolin in cancers.

Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis 2009;21(2):138-140
Objective To investigate the effect of no-tonch harvesting technique in reducing vein graft intimal hyperplasin. A4othods This longitudinal trial compared graft ungiestenosis of two groups undergoing jugular vein to carotid artery interposition grafting in rabbit model. Conventional group: 12 rabbits had their veins stripped, distended, and stored in heparinized saline solution. No-touch group: 12 rabbits had veins removed with surrounding tissues, but were not distended, and stored in heparinized blood. The grafts were removed 4 weeks following grafting, and morphometry and immunohistochemistry assessment were performed. Results The intimal thickness, degree of anginstennsis and proliferation index of vascular smooth muscle cells of no-touch group were significantly reduced (P< 0.01) compared with those of the conventional group. The proliferating cell nuclear antigen pnsitive-staining cells were significantly increased (P<0.01) in the conventional group compared with whose in the no-touch group. Conclusion Harvesting the vein graft with no-touch harvesting technique could significantly reduce intimul hyperpinsin of the vein graft.

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2021;29(2):126-131
Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a type of endogenous non-coding RNAs discovered recently, which are produced by models such as circularization driven by intron pairing and are regulated by related regulatory factors. An important biological function of circRNAs is to act as a molecular sponge to make the level of microRNAs significantly change in a short period of time. A number of studies have shown that circRNAs are closely associated with ischemic stroke. Therefore, a better understanding of the function of circRNAs and its regulatory mechanism will help to explore the expression of circRNAs in early ischemic stroke and its molecular mechanism in the occurrence and development of ischemic stroke, so as to establish an early warning model to realize the early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment of ischemic stroke. This article reviews the definition, biological characteristics, and expression changes and roles of circRNAs after ischemic stroke.

Clinical Medicine of China 2021;37(3):214-220
Objective:To analyze the risk factors of first-episode hematogenous metastasis in patients with thoracic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) who received non-surgical treatment after radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and its impact on survival and prognosis. Methods:The clinical data of 230 ESCC patients who met the inclusion criteria and received radical radiotherapy in Tengzhou Central People′s Hospital and Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from January 2011 to October 2018 were retrospectively analyzed.Logistic regression analysis and survival were used to analyze the risk factors and prognosis of blood group metastasis after treatment. Results:In 230 patients with thoracic esophageal cancer, 70 cases (30.4%) developed hematogenous metastasis for the first time.Compared with patients without hematogenous metastasis, the median overall survival was 15 months and 20 months (χ 2=7.249, P=0.007), and the median progression free survival was 9 months and 13 months (95% CI was 7.2-10.8 months and 10.8-15.2 months, respectively χ 2=21.664, P<0.001). Logistic multivariate analysis showed that there was significant difference in the occurrence of hematogenous metastasis among different N stages (χ 2=30.764, P<0.001). N stage was an independent factor for judging hematogenous metastasis, and the increased N stage increased the risk of hematogenous metastasis (OR value were 6.000, 12.629 and 48.167, respectively; 95% CI were 1.712-21.025, 3.546-44.976 and 10.848-213.858, respectively; all P<0.05). The overall survival time of patients with concurrent chemoradiotherapy before hematogenous metastasis was longer than that of patients with sequential chemoradiotherapy and radiotherapy alone (χ 2=10.002, P=0.007). Stratified analysis showed that adjuvant chemotherapy after concurrent chemoradiotherapy could prolong the overall survival of patients with N2 and N3 (χ 2=11.025, P=0.001). Conclusion:N staging is an independent factor to judge the hematogenous metastasis.ESCC patients with hematogenous metastasis after chemoradiotherapy have poor prognosis.N2, N3 patients with concurrent chemoradiotherapy after adjuvant chemotherapy have clinical benefits.

Objective To study protective effects of Wuzi Yanzong Fang on DNA damage induced by cyclophosphamide (CTX) in mice, and explore its mechanism. Methods BalB/c mice were randomly divided into normal group, model group, Wuzi Yanzong Fang low dose group and Wuzi Yanzong Fang high dose group. Mice in Wuzi Yanzong Fang groups were pretreated with Wuzi Yanzong Fang for 7 days, then the mice in Wuzi Yanzong Fang groups and model group were intraperitoneally injected with CTX (100 mg/kg) every other day for three times, and mice in Wuzi Yanzong Fang groups were continued administered with Wuzi Yanzong Fang. Animals were sacrificed in twelve hours after the final treatment of CTX. ELISA was used to detect 8-OHdG content in serum, and single cell gel electrophoresis to detect DNA damage in bone marrow cells. Results Wuzi Yanzong Fang low dose group and high dose group reduced the level of 8-OHdG in serum. Wuzi Yanzong Fang significantly decreased Olive tail moment, tail moment, tail length and tail DNA%in mouse bone marrow cells. Conclusion Wuzi Yanzong Fang has good protective effects on DNA damage caused by CTX.

Objective To explore the seed protein extraction method for Amomum villosum Lour., so as to lay the foundation for the study of differential proteomics of Amomum villosum Lour. during seed dormancy and germination. Methods We used the four kinds of commonly-used protein extraction methods for the experiment, including Tris-HCl extraction method, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) /acetone precipitation method, direct lysis buffer method and improved Tris-saturated phenol method. The obtained proteins were quantified, and then were analyzed by sodium dodecyl sulphate- polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) . Results The protein yield was the highest when using direct lysis buffer method, which was mainly composed of small molecule protein. The protein yield was the lowest using Tris/HCl method, characterized by the diffused stripes in SDS-PAGE spectra. The protein yield was moderate using TCA/acetone method and improved Tris-saturated phenol method, and the obtained protein by the TCA/acetone method had less stripes in SDS-PAGE spectra than that by Tris-saturated phenol method, and was characterized by macromolecular protein. Conclusion The combination of direct lysis buffer extraction method and improved Tris-saturated phenol method may provide reference for seed protein extraction method of two-dimensional electrophoresis for Amomum villosum Lour..
