Healthy granulation tissue played an important role in the wound healing process. However, some factors which interfered the process would result in unhealthy granulation tissue. Unhealthy granulation tissue may affect wound repairing. This article would focus on the concept, mechanisms, interventions of unhealthy granulation tissue.

The antibacterial activity and mechanism of the antimicrobial peptide mutant Cbf-14-2 against NDM-1 carrying recombinant bacteria (E.coli BL21 (DE3)-NDM-1) was investigated in this study. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC),minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) and killing curves (KCs) in vitro were determined by the broth microdilution method.Mice septicemia model was established by interaperitotoneal injection of E.coli BL21 (DE3)-NDM-1 to evaluate the antibacterial activity of this peptide in vivo. Results showed that Cbf-14-2 exhibited a potent antibacterial activity with MIC of 16 μg/mL and killed almost all recombinant bacteria within 120 min.Meanwhile,it significantly improved the survival rate of infected mice up to 70% with the decreasing of bacterial load in mice lung, liver, spleen and kidney. This powerful clearance ability of Cbf-14-2 against bacteria mainly related to its enhanced membrane penetration ability through neutralizing the negative charges and disrupting the integrity of the bacterial cell membrane.Therefore,Cbf-14-2 is expected to be a potential antimicrobial agent for the treatment of infection induced by multi-drug resistant bacteria, especially for the NDM-1carrying bacteria.

Objective? To explore the application value of three-dimensional quality assessment model in transitional nursing care for patients with prostate cancer. Methods? By systematic sampling, a total of 96 patients with prostate cancer admitted in Cancer Prevention and Treatment Center, Sun Yat-sen University from May 2016 to May 2018 and divided into the control group (n=48) and observation group (n=48) based on their admission order. Conventional transitional nursing care was adopted in the control group and the three-dimensional quality assessment model was adopted in the observation group for three months. Before intervention and upon completion of intervention, the two groups were evaluated in their urine control condition, negative affect, self-management efficacy and quality of life by using the International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire Short Form(ICI-Q-SF), Self-evaluation of Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS), Chinese version of the Strategies Used by People to Promote Health(SUPPH), EORTC the Quality of Life Questionnaire for Prostate Cancer 25(EORTC QLQ-PR25). Results? The scores of ICI-Q-SF、SAS、SDS in the observation group after intervention were lower than those before intervention and the control group after intervention (P<0.05); after intervention the scores of the "positive attitude", "self-relax","self-determination"and total score in the observation group were higher than those before intervention and the control group after intervention (P<0.05); the scores of "urinary tract symptoms", "intestinal symptoms" and "treatment-related symptoms" were lower than those before intervention and the control group after intervention (P< 0.05), the score of sexual life was significantly higher than those before intervention and after intervention in the control group with statistical differences (P< 0.05). Conclusions? Three-dimensional quality assessment model has important application significance in the transitional nursing care for prostate cancer patients, which can improve the urinary control of patients, alleviate their negative emotions, and improve their self-management efficacy and quality of life.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the anti-cancer effect of low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) combined with doxorubicin and explore the mechanism.
METHODSHepatocellular cancer HepG2 cells exposed to LMWH, doxorubicin, or both were evaluated for cell viability with MTT assay and for changes in their migration ability using wound healing assay and Transwell migration assay. The changes in cellular expressions of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) and MMP-2 mRNA and proteins were analyzed with quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and Western blotting, and ELISA was used to determine heparanase (HPA) concentration in the cell culture medium.
RESULTSHepG2 cells exhibited suppressed proliferation in response to LMWH and doxorubicin treatments. The combined treatment caused a significantly higher inhibition rate of cell migration than LMWH and doxorubicin alone. LMWH enhanced doxorubicin-induced down-regulation of MMP-9, MMP-2 and HPA in the cells.
CONCLUSIONSLMWH can enhance the inhibitory effect of doxorubicin on the migration of HepG2 cells, the mechanism of which may involve the down-regulation of MMP-9, MMP-2 and HPA expressions.

Objective:To investigate the effect of decarbromodiphenyl ether(BDE-209)exposure on the migration ability of triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)cells and to explore the underlying mechanism. Methods:Human TNBC MDA-MB-231 cells were divided into blank control group and BDE-209 exposure groups(treated with 0.02,0.20,2.00,20.00 and 200.00 ng/mL BDE-209 in high glucose DMEM).Extracellular vehicles(EVs)secreted by MDA-MB-231 cells were isolated by differential ultracentrifugation.Transmission electron microscopy(SEM),nanoparticle tracking analysis(NTA)and Western blotting were performed to characterize the EVs.The effect of the EVs induced by BDE-209 exposure(EVs-BDE-209)on the migration and invasion of MDA-MB-231 cells was detected by wound-healing assay and Transwell test.qRT-PCR was used to measure the miR-221 level in EVs-BDE-209.The expression of MMP9 in MDA-MB-231 cells was determined by Western blotting. Results:Compared with the blank control,BDE-209 exposure increased the tumor cell-derived EVs in dose-dependent manner. The MDA-MB-231 cells co-cultured with EVs released by 200.00 ng/mL BDE-209 exposure showed an 86%increase in cell migration rate,a 1.32-fold higher number of membrane-penetrating cells,a 2.71-fold higher expression level of miR-221,and a 1.62-fold higher expression level of MMP9 compared with the blank control group(all P<0.05).While transfection with anti-miR-221 antibody to decrease miR-221 level in EVs significantly reversed the increased invasion ability of the MDA-MB-231 cells treated with EVs-BDE-209.Conclusion:BDE-209 exposure may promote metastasis potential of MDA-MB-231 cells via EVs-BDE-209 transmitted miR-221.
