Objective To investigate the changes of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the anterior cingulate cortex of perimenopausal women with depression.Methods Forty perimenopausal women as the experimental group and ten healthy women as the control group were recruited and followed up for 18 to 24 months.The proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-MRS) was used to acquire the concentrations of GABA in the anterior cingulate cortex.The experimental group was examined before and after menopause.The control group was examined before into the group and after out of the group.The experimental group after menopause was further divided into the anxiety group and the depression group according to the Classification and Diagnostic Criteria of Mental Disorders in China-Third Edition (CCMD-3), 14-item Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA-14) and 17-item Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD-17).The data of three groups were compared respectively.Results The results showed that the concentrations of GABA after menopause in both of the anxiety group and depression group were significantly lower (P<0.05) than those before menopause, and were also significantly lower (P<0.05) than those in the control group.The concentrations of GABA after menopause in the depression group were significantly lower(P<0.05) than those in the anxiety group.Conclusion The changes of GABA in the anterior cingulate cortex are related with the pathophysiology mechanism of perimenopausal depression and the symptoms of perimenopausal depression.

Objective:To evaluate the occluding effect of 2 kinds of Er laser on dentinal tubules.Methods:27 dentine discs were prepared,etched with 0.5 mol/L EDTA and then divided into 3 groups(n =9).The samples in group A without treatment were used as the controls,in group B treated with Er:YAG laser irradiation and in group C treated with Er,Cr:YSGG laser irradiation.The occluding effect was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).Results:Micrographs of SEMshowed obvious occluding effect in group B and C.The dentinal tubule exposure rates of group A,B and C were 33.61 0% ±7.545%,4.1 86% ±0.723% and 3.798% ± 0.843% respectively(among 3 groups,P <0.01 ;B vs C,P >0.05).Conclusion:The 2 kinds of Er laser can block dentinal tu-bules.

Objective: To investigate condom use and associated factors among HIV/AIDS patients receiving antiretroviral therapy (ART) in Fuyang District, Hangzhou City, so as to provide insights into instructing the correct use of condoms and controlling the spread of HIV/AIDS patients. Methods: A face-to-face questionnaire survey was conducted to collect demographic information, sexual behaviors during recent 6 months and condom use of HIV/AIDS patients receiving ART in Fuyang District from May to December, 2022. Descriptive analysis was employed on the proportion of participants who insisted on using condoms at each sexual contact, and a multivariable logistic regression model was used to identify factors affecting condom use at each sexual contact. Results: Totally 111 HIV/AIDS patients who received ART and had sexual contacts during recent 6 months were investigated, with a median age of 43.00 (interquartile range, 19.00) years. There were 82 males (73.87%), 63 married cases (56.76%), 52 cases with homosexual behaviors (46.85%), 110 cases insisting on using condom after ART (99.10%), 101 cases insisting on using condoms at each sexual contact (90.99%). Among 93 patients being aware of HIV infection status of all sexual partners, 93.55% of the patients insisted on using condoms at each sexual contact. Among 105 patients without sexually transmitted diseases (STD) diagnosis and treatment, 94.29% of the patients insisted on using condoms at each sexual contact. Multivariable logistic regression analysis identified aware of HIV infection status of sexual partners (OR=0.046, 95%CI: 0.004-0.560), no STD diagnosis and treatment (OR=0.060, 95%CI: 0.004-0.890) as promoting factors for condom use at each sexual contact among HIV/AIDS patients receiving ART. Conclusions There is a high proportion of condom use at each sexual contact among HIV/AIDS patients receiving ART in Fuyang District. Patients who are aware of sexual partners' HIV infection and have not received STD diagnosis and treatment are more likely to insist on using condoms at each sexual contact.

BACKGROUND: Blood flow restriction training, as an emerging training method, can effectively increase muscle cross-sectional area and improve muscular function, providing a new way for sports intervention of dyskinesia. However, there are many controversies in the field from mechanism to application. OBJECTIVE: To explore the current research hotspots and main contents in the application of blood flow restriction training, and to provide new ideas and directions for future research and development in this field. METHODS: A total of 441 articles regarding blood flow restriction training published from 2009 to 2019 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database for a visual analysis using CiteSpace 5.6.R3. Based on key literatures, the analysis was performed by integration of mapping and data. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The research on blood flow restriction training has been on an upward trend since the 21st century, mainly published by the United States, Japan and their institutions with more achievements and higher influence. The development of the research theme has gradually changed from the impact on local tissues and organs to the impact on body functions, from the training and application in general populations to intervention therapy in special populations. Hot keywords are blood flow restriction, strength, skeletal muscle, muscle hypertrophy, growth hormone, and adaptation; its research hotspots mainly include different physiological adaptation mechanisms, training methods that influence variables, rehabilitation for people with dyskinesia, effects on cardiovascular function, etc. Low-intensity blood flow restriction training as an effective exercise intervention is mainly used in the clinical treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, metabolic, and neurological diseases. Future research can focus on long-term exercise benefits, physiological adaptation mechanisms, application effects in different populations, and safety of training methods.

Objective: To investigate the screening results of adolescent scoliosis in Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, and analyze the influencing factors for scoliosis, so as to provide insights into the prevention and control of scoliosis among adolescents. Methods: Students were selected from six primary and middle schools in Chuzhou City using the stratified random cluster sampling method from April to June 2023. Demographic information, daily behaviors and postures, and exercise status were collected through questionnaire surveys. Scoliosis was screened and diagnosed according to the Screening for Abnormal Spinal Curvature in Children and Adolescents. Influencing factors for scoliosis among primary and middle school students were identified using a multivariable logistic regression model. Results: A total of 1 823 questionnaires were allocated, and 1 768 effective questionnaires were recovered, with an effective response rate of 96.98%. There were 537 primary school students, 1 000 junior high school students and 231 senior high school students, with an average age of (13.40±1.92) years. There were 948 male students (53.62%) and 820 female students (46.38%). A total of 131 cases of scoliosis were screened positive, with a positive rate of 7.41%. The results of multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that gender (female, OR=1.759, 95%CI: 1.135-2.727), body mass index (OR=0.593, 95%CI: 0.538-0.654), sleeping position (side lying, OR=0.598, 95%CI: 0.377-0.951; prone lying, OR=2.336, 95%CI: 1.201-4.545), frequency of reading in bed (often, OR=2.099, 95%CI: 1.201-3.670), way of carrying backpack (shoulders, OR=0.580, 95%CI: 0.370-0.908), and exercise level (OR=0.428, 95%CI: 0.296-0.618) were influencing factors of scoliosis among primary and middle school students. Conclusion The positive rate of scoliosis screening among primary and middle school students in Chuzhou City was 7.41%, which was influenced by gender, age, body mass index, sleeping posture, reading in bed, way of carrying backpack and exercise level.

Clinical data of 46 patients with trans-sphincter anal fistula treated by fistulectomy with external anal sphincter bareness in Department of Anorectal Surgery, Jiaxing TCM Hospital from July 2018 to July 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. All operations were performed successfully. There were no significant differences in Wexner incontinence scores (2.00±0.68 vs.1.99±0.70, P<0.05), mean anal resting pressure [(75.60±8.60) vs.(73.60±8.20)mmHg(1 mmHg=0.133 kPa), P<0.05] and maximum systolic pressure [(109.60±7.80) vs.(107.20±8.30)mmHg, P<0.05] before and 6 months after operation. There were 1 case with postoperative incision bleeding and 2 cases with postoperative infection. All patients were followed up for 6 months and there was no recurrence and changes in anal shape during the follow-up. Results indicate that the fistulectomy external anal sphincter bareness is safe, efficient with well preserved sphincter function for patients with trans-sphincter anal fistula.

Objective To investigate the effect of catch-up growth on insulin resistance(IR) through analysis of biochemical and metabolic indices in premature infants.Methods There were 126 infants admitted in the Department of Neonatology,the Affiliated Hospital of Guiyang Medical College from December 2010 to December 2013 [factors which might affect the secretion of insulin(INS),C peptide and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) were excluded].According to gestational age and birth weight,babies were divided into small for gestational age (SGA) group and appropriate for gestational age (AGA) group.And according to the age on follow-up,babies were divided into 1-to-6-month-old group,7-to-12-month-old group and ≥ 1-to-3 year-old group.All cases had 6 mL peripheral venous blood sampled in the early morning during fasting in the first week,and 6,12,24,36 months after birth.They were tested for levels of INS,C peptide,IGF-1,triglyceride (TC),total cholesterol (TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),fasting blood-glucose (FBG),albumin,prealbumin and creatinine respectively.At the same time,the physical parameters were measured,including weight,body length,and calculated insulin resistance index (IRI),Ponderal index,weight standard deviation score (SDS),and length SDS.Results (1) Catch-up growth after premature birth occupied 65.6％ (63/96 cases),whereas no catch-up growth occupied 34.4％ (33/96 cases) of study snbjects,and among them catch-up growth of 37 cases was better (8 cases of SGA,29 cases of AGA),26 cases showing catch-up growth(7 cases of SGA,19 cases of AGA),33 cases without catch-up growth(11 cases of SGA,22 cases of AGA).No statistical significance was found in the distribution of catch-up growth between SGA group and AGA group(P ＞ 0.05).(2) The LgIRI,LgINS of group with good catch-up growth was significantly lower than the group with no catch-up growth group (F =3.55,3.47) in infancy,but the level of IGF-1 and prealbumin was higher than that of no catch-up growth group (F =3.55,4.94),the difference had statistical significance (P ＜ 0.05) ; the better catch-up growth was associated with higher IGF-1 and prealbumin,but with lower LgIRI.(3) The risk factors for insulin resistance were SGA (OR =7.904,P =0.001),low birth weight ＜ 1 500 g (OR=8.737,P=0.019),and no catch-up growth (OR=11.706,P=0.000).Conclusions The better catch-up growth in infancy is associated with higher IGF-1 and prealbumin,but lower IR.The risk factors of IR include SGA,low birth weight and no catch-up growth,and the last being the major factor.

Objective To deeply understand the risk factors of lymphedema for patients with breast cancer after surgery. Methods The phenomenological method was applied in this study. Semi-structured interview was used to collected data from 9 female breast cancer patients with lymphedema after surgery in our hospital from June to September 2016 for generic analysis. Results The risk factors of lymphedema could be categorized into four themes:(1)choice of treatment is the primary cause:axillary lymph node dissection; radiotherapy; chemotherapy; (2)not paying enough attention to lymphedema:lacking the knowledge of lymphedema; imbalance of physical activities for the affected limb; lacking awareness of exercise and protection of the affected limb. Conclusions Axillary lymph node dissection after radical surgery for patients with breast cancer is the primary cause of lymphedema, and paying not enough attention is an important factor, especially lacking the consciousness of prevention, so the nurses should emphasize education about prevention of lymphedema after surgery for patients, to improve the consciousness of them to reduce the occurrence of lymphedema and its influence on their quality of life.

Objective To establish a capillary electrophoresis method to separate ephedrine and psedudoephedrine. Methods RM-β-CD and HP-β-CD were set as additives. A capillary electrophoresis method was set up. The effects of types and concentrations of additives, the concentrations and pH values of buffered solution, running voltage and organic solvent on the separation of ephedrine and psedudoephedrine were investigated.Results Ephedrine and pseudoephedrine could be successfully separated by using either RM-β-CD or HP-β-CD as additives. When RM-β-CD was used as additive, the best separation conditions were as follows: separation voltage 10 kV, 25 mmol/L Tris-H3PO4 (pH 2.42), 20 mg/mL of RM-β-CD. Under the conditions, the resolution of ephedrine and pseudoephedrine was 1.56 and they were separated successfully within 13 min. When HP-β-CD was used as additive, the best separation conditions were as follows: separation voltage 10 kV, 25 mmol/L Tris-H3PO4 (pH 3.00), 50 mg/mL of HP-β-CD. Under the conditions, the resolution of ephedrine and pseudoephedrine was 2.73 and they were separated successfully within 15 min.ConclusionThis method is reliable, rapid and repeatable. It can be used as separation determination method for ephedrine and pseudoephedrine.

Objective　The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between systemic immune inflammation index (SII) and the total imaging burden of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD),and to evaluate its predictive value,so as to provide valuable parameters for the early diagnosis and prevention of CSVD.Methods　A total of 268 patients who were admitted to the Department of Neurology of the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from September 2020 to May 2022 were continuously collected.According to the CSVD total burden score,120 patients were divided into a no and light burden group (0-1 points) and 148 patients were divided into a medium-heavy burden group(2-4 points),and calculated the ratio of SII.Spearman correlation analysis and multivariate regression analysis were used to evaluate the relationship between SII and the total burden of CSVD,and the ROC curve was used to analyze the predictive value of SII for moderate to severe burden of CSVD.Results　Compared with the no and mild burden group,patients in the moderate to severe burden group had higher levels of SII (P<0.001),and results from multivariate regression analysis showed that SII was an independent factor for moderate to severe CSVD burden (OR=1.002,95%CI 1.000-1.004,P=0.028),the ROC curve analysis results showed that the area under the SII curve=0.702 (95%CI 0.640-0.765,P<0.001),the sensitivity was 73.6%,and the specificity was 60.8%.Conclusion　SII was an independent influencing factor of the total burden of moderate-severe CSVD,and was positively correlated with the severity of CSVD.SII had a certain predictive value for the total burden of moderate-severe CSVD.
