Cerebral vasospasm (CVS) is a serious complication of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH).Endothelin-1 (ET-1) is an endothelium-derived vasoconstrictor substance.A large number of clinical and basic studies have shown that cerebrospinal fluid and/or ET-1 levels in peripheral blood increases in patients with SAH and play an important role in the occurrence and development of CVS.This article reviews the research status of the role of ET-1 in the occurrence and development of CVS.

Objective To evaluate the effect of isoflurane post-conditioningon the expression of pro apoptotic proteins in the conical neurons exposed to oxygen-glucose deprivation and restoration (OGD/R) in rats. Methods Primary cortical neurons isolated from male Sprague-Dawley rats (within 24h after birth),were cultured in vitro and inoculated in 6-well culture plate (2 ml/well) at a density of 1 × 106/ml.The cells were divided into 3 groups (n =12 each) using a random number table:control group(group C),OGD/R group, and isoflurane post-conditioning group (Ⅰ group). In OGD/R group, the cells were incubated in glucose-free BBS aerated with 95 % N2 for 30 min followed by restoration of 2-glucose supply for 1 h.At 24 h of incubation, the cells were collected for detection of neuronal apoptosis (.using Hoechst/PI staining),caspase-3 expression (by Western blot),expression of Bid,Bim and Puma mRNA (by PCR),and expression of Bid,Bim and Puma (by Western blot).Apoptosis rate was calculated. Results Compared with S group, the apoptosis rate was significantly increased, and the expression of caspase-3 and Bid,Bim and Puma mRNA and protein was upregulated in OGD/R group. The apoptosis rate and expression of caspase-3 and Bid,Bim and Puma mRNA and protein were significantly lower in Ⅰ group than in OGD/R group. Conclusion Isofluranepost-conditioning inhibits apoptosis in the cortical neurons exposed to OGD/R through down-regulating pm-apoptotic proteins in rats.

Objective To explore the relationship between CD146(MCAM),microvessel density(MVD)in renal cell carcinoma(RCC) and its clinic-pathology,and to explore their correlation with clinic-pathologic parameter of RCC. Methods Immunohistochemisty was employed to determine the expression of CD146 and MVD in 43 RCC tissues and 20 normal control renal tissues. Results The positive expression of CD146 in RCC(90.7 %,39/43) was remarkably higher than that in normal renal tissue(30.0 %,6/20)(x2=27.77,P<0.05).The expression of CD146 was not correlated with the category of RCC (x2=1.37,all P >0.05),but had a significant correlation to(the tumor volume x2=7.57)clinical stage(r=0.62) and metastasis of RCC(x2=19.99,P<0.05). The MVD of RCC [(78.00±23.10)/200HP]was significantly higher than that of normal renal tissue [(23.05±7.93)/200HP].The MVD of CD146 was not correlated with the tumor volume and category of RCC (t=1.33,t=1.46,au P> 0.05),but had a significant correlation to clinical stage and metastasis of RCC (t=2.37,t=2.10,P< 0.05). There was a positive correlation between expression of CD146 and MVD in RCC(r=0.74,P<0.05). Conclusion The overexpression of CD146 in RCC has a significant relation with tumor angiogenesis. The expression of CD146 and angiogenesis might serve as an important indicator of the development, progress and metastasis of RCC.

Safety and Health at Work 2023;14(4):431-437
Background:
Depressive symptoms (DS) can erode physical and mental health; social support (SS) is considered a buffer for DS and a promoter for improving coping and recovery abilities. However, there is almost no research on the mediating role of negative coping (NC) in SS and DS, especially among firefighters.
Methods:
A cross-sectional survey was conducted among firefighters in Chongqing, China, and the valid data of 407 firefighters were collected through questionnaires distributed on the WeChat platform in 2020. Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) 26.0 is used for descriptive statistics and correlation analysis. Structural equation modeling was adopted to analyze the association among SS, NC, and DS. The mediation effect is also evaluated.
Results:
Firefighters' detection rate of DS is 23.3%, and when they receive more SS were less likely to develop DS. NC was positively correlated with DS (β = 0.54, p < 0.001) after controlling for SS. Besides, the results of structural equation modeling showed that NC partially mediates the relationship between SS and DS (standard error = 0.039, indirect effects = 0.109, 95% confidence interval: 0.047–0.200 p < 0.001).
Conclusion
NC has a partial indirect effect between SS and DS among firefighters. SS could not only affect DS directly but also indirect work on it by affecting NC. This discovery will be a novel and meaningful part of the research on the firefighter population.

OBJECTIVE:To probe into the rational drug use condition in Shenzhen area and to promote the rational drug use level. METHODS: A multi-center randomized parallel test was conducted in 6 different levels of hospitals in Shenzhen area. In which the prescriptions in two months and the outpatients visiting the hospitals on that day were surveyed on the spot in respect of the international rational drug use (RDU) indicators then the data were analyzed statistically. RESULTS: Prescription indicators were as follows: the average number of drugs was 2.44; the percentage of antibiotics prescribed was 43.7%and that for injection was 22.3%. Patient care indicators were as follows: the average consultation time was 6.97 minutes; average dispensing time was 16.77 seconds; percentage of drugs actually dispensed was 100%; percentage of drugs actually labeled was 100%; percentage of patients’ knowledge of correct use of drugs was 96.5%. CONCLUSIONS: The rational drug use level in Shenzhen area is still low and problematic and the care given by doctors and pharmacists to the patients is insufficient, which remain to be improved and tackled.

Objective:To determine the efficacy and safety of sacral neuromodulation (SNM) in incomplete spinal cord injured (SCI) subjects affected by neurogenic lower urinary tract symptoms. Methods:Clinical data of 36 patients with incomplete spinal cord injury who underwent SNM from February 2015 to April 2019 were retrospectively analyzed and were divided into group NUR (16 cases neurogenic urinary retention group) and group NOAB (20 cases of neurogenic bladder overactive group). If at least 50% clinical improvement occurred, the patient would undergo a permanent SNM procedure. The patients were evaluated by using bladder diary, postvoid residual volume measurement, frequency of clean catheterization and urodynamic parameters before and during the test, and after the permanent SNM.Results:Among the 36 patients, 21 cases (58.3%) were tested effectively and received permanent stimulator implantation, 7(19.4%) in NUR group and 14(38.9%) in NOAB group. The residual urine volume of bladder, the average number of catheterization and the average number of urination in NUR group were improved in different degrees. After operation, the symptoms of frequent urination, urgency of urination and incontinence in NOAB group were relieved to varying degrees. During the follow-up, 2 patients with urinary retention failed the treatment. After the Ⅰ phase of the contralateral S3, the curative effect was recovered. A patient were infected after operation, and the wound healed after removal of the infection. Conclusions:The SNM is safe and effective in the treatment of neurogenic lower urinary tract symptoms in some incomplete spinal cord injury patients, and is helpful to protect renal function in patients with spinal cord injury. SNM can not improve all symptoms at times, but the SNM can be considered in patients with ineffective or intolerant traditional treatment.
