OBJECTIVE:To investigate Smad3 and Smad7 expression in cardiac tissues in myocardial infarction (MI) rats and the effect of simvastatin (SIM) on expression of Smads.METHODS:36 rats were randomized into SIM (40 mg?kg-1,n=12) group,MI group (normal saline,n=12) and SHAM group (normal saline,n=12).Rats in first two groups were induced MI model.Rats of 3 groups were sacrificed after four weeks administration.The mRNA expressions of Smad3 and Smad7 in non-infarction regions were measured by RT-PCR.Smad3 and Smad7 protein expressions were measured by Western blotting assay.RESULTS:As compared with SHAM group,the expressions of Smad3 in MI group and SIM group were increased while the expressions of Smad7 were decreased.As compared with MI group,the mRNA expression and protein expression of Smad3 in SIM group was decreased while that of Smad7 increased (P

Objective To develop a virtual endoscopy system which can be integrated into PACS.Methods Key techniques on virtual endoscopy were researched and we implemented a virtual endoscopy system with the help of the Visualization Toolkit VTK.Results The Virtual endoscopy system was integrated into PACS and the post-processing function of PACS was advanced.Conclusion As a novel medical image post-processing technology,virtual endoscopy provides a completely non-invaded inspection,so it has broad application prospects in the computer-aided medical teaching,surgical navigation,surgical planning and clinical diagnosis.

Objective To analyze the differences of coagulation parameters between patients with advanced schistosomiasis cirrhosis and hepatitis B cirrhosis under different degrees of liver function,so as to provide the evidence for further guidance of judging clinical condition and prognosis. Methods Sixty?three patients with advanced schistosomiasis cirrhosis and eighty pa?tients with hepatitis B induced cirrhosis hospitalized in Jingzhou Central Hospital from January 2014 to June 2016 were served as an advanced schistosomiasis cirrhosis group and a hepatitis B cirrhosis group,respectively,and ninety?six gastropathy pa?tients excluded from other diseases that might affect coagulation in the same period were served as a control group. The levels of PT,INR,Fib,TT,APTT,and PLT of the patients among the above 3 groups and the cirrhosis patients with different Child?Pugh classes were detected and compared. Results The differences of the levels of PT,INR,Fib,TT,APTT,and PLT among the 3 groups were statistically significant(F=84.512,81.672,37.612,104.475,52.497,102.233;all P<0.05). The further analysis showed that PT,INR,TT,and APTT of both the advanced schistosomiasis cirrhosis and hepatitis B induced cirrhosis groups were longer than those of the control group,and the PLT levels of both the former 2 groups were lower than that of the con?trol group(all P<0.05). Compared with the advanced schistosomiasis cirrhosis group,PT,INR,TT,and APTT of the hepati?tis B induced cirrhosis group were longer,and the levels of Fib and PLT were lower(all P<0.05). Among those with the liver function of Grade A,the reduced degree of PLT in the patients with hepatitis B induced cirrhosis was more serious,while for those with the liver function of Grade B and C,the difference between the patients with advanced schistosomiasis cirrhosis and hepatitis B induced cirrhosis was not statistically significant(both P > 0.05). Under all the grades of liver function,TT and APTT of the hepatitis B induced cirrhosis group was longer than those of the advanced schistosomiasis cirrhosis group ,and the Fib level of the former was lower than that of the latter. Among those with the liver function of Grade A and B ,PT and INR of the hepatitis B induced cirrhosis group were longer than those of the advanced schistosomiasis cirrhosis group;while for those with the liver function of Grade C,the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(all P > 0.05). Conclu?sions There exist differences of the damage degrees of coagulation function between the patients with advanced schistosomiasis cirrhosis and hepatitis B cirrhosis. When the damage degree of the liver function is lighter,the coagulation function in the pa?tients with hepatitis B cirrhosis decreases more significantly;when the damage degree becomes more severe,APPT in the pa?tients with hepatitis B cirrhosis extends more significantly,while the differences of PLT and PT between them are little.

Objective To evaluate the serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D 3 level in newly diagnosed type 2 diabe-tes,and its relationship with function of islet beta cell .Methods 60 newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients and 48 normal glucose tolerance healthy control cases were selected .The level of serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 of two groups were measured using the way of high performance liquid chromatograph .The difference was compared between two groups.Insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR) and islet beta cell secrete index(HOMA-β) was used to respectively es-timate insulin sensitivity and islet beta cell function in type 2 diabetes group .The correlation was analyzed between 25-hydroxy vitamin D 3 and fasting blood glucose ,HOMA-IR,HOMA-β.Results The level of serum 25-hydroxy vita-min D3 (28.68 ±1.61) ng/mL in type 2 diabetes group was significantly lower than that of control group (41.30 ± 1.12)ng/mL(t=3.47,P<0.01).There is negative correlation between 25-hydroxyl vitamin D3 and fasting glucose (r=0.48,P<0.05).There was positive correlation between 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 and HOMA-IR(r=0.52,P<0.05).There was no correlation between 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 and HOMA-β(r=-0.06,P>0.05).Conclusion The level of 25-hydroxy vitamin D 3 was significantly low in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients .Low serum 25-hydroxyl vitamin D 3 level affects islet beta secretion cell function ,the supplementation of vitamin D 3 may be a simple and effective method to reduce the ocurrence of type 2 diabetes .

Objective To observe the changes of lung function before and after radiotherapy with the lung perfusion of single-photon emission computed tomography and compare the difference between radiotherapy plans conducted by functional imagines and anatomical imagines in radiotherapy of patients with non-small-cell lung cancer.Methods A total of 36 patients (26 males and 10 females,aged 36-80 years) with lung cancer diagnosed as stage Ⅰ to stage Ⅲ non-small cell lung cancer confirmed by histological proof were selected.The lung perfusion image was delivered to radiotherapy planning system and the two plan (plan1 and plan 2) were made by lung perfusion image fusion.Plan 1 was only based on the anatomical informations and no lung perfusion images of SPECT considering.Plan 2 was optimized based on the lung perfusion image to reduce the irradiation dose of the normal tissues.The differences of protecting lung function between plan 1 and plan 2 were compared.Results 36 patients were stratified for clinical stage.FV10,fV20,fV30,MLD and PTV90/fV20 were decreased significantly after optimized with IMRT (all P =0.000).FV20,fMLD were decreased by (4.89±2.0) ％,(1.74 ±0.9)％.The IMRT plan based on the lung perfusion fusion images of SPECT could reduce the irradiation dose of normal lung tissues and the incidence of radiation pneumonitis.Conclusions Radionuclide pulmonary perfusion imaging can assess effectively the effect of tumor to regional pulmonary artery perfusion function before radiotherapy and reduce the irradiation dose of normal lung tissue in lung cancer patients undergoing IMRT.

To control the quality of Yixue caps ule,its main comp onents were identified by TLC and the content of tanshinone ⅡA was determined b y TLC scanner.A good linearity was shown at the concentration of 0.5 to 2. 5 μg of tanshinone ⅡA.The average recovery rate was 97.90% and RSD was 1.16%.This method is specific and sensitive with good reproducibility and can be used for the quality control of the preparation.

ADAMs is a family of transmembrane proteins with multi domains and multiple functions,which play important roles in many(patho-)physiological processes.They are upregulated in a variety of tumors and possess protein shedding and adhesive activities,which showed that they could be useful as tumor biomarkers and promising targets for designing new anti-tumor drugs.This review focuses on the roles ADAMs play in the process of tumor development and the potential application in cancer therapy.

RNA interference is an evolutionarily conserved surveillance mechanism that responds to double-stranded RNA by sequence-specific silencing of homologous genes. Although it is a short time since the discovery of the phenomenon, the technology develops fastly for the character of easy operation, low investment, specificity and potentiality, and researchers have made some progress on the mechanism of RNA interference and application in functional genomics and disease treatment. This article reviews the history, mechanism, biological significance and application of RNA interference.

Objective To analyze the effect of Chinese medicine differentiation syndrome combined with hormone in the treatment of nephrotic syndrome.Methods 84 children with nephrotic syndrome from May 2005 to May 2012 in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group and control group,42 cases in each group.The control group was given hormone,while the observation group was given Chinese medicine on the basis of hormone treatment.The clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the laboratory indicators of the observation group were better than before treatment,the differences were statistically significant(P ＜ 0.05).After treatment,the laboratory parameters of the observation group were better than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P ＜ 0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 83.33％,which was significantly higher than 52.38％ of the control group(P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The clinical efficacy of Chinese medicine differentiation syndrome with hormone in treatment of children with nephrotic syndrome is clear,and it is safe and reliable,which is worth to be applied in clinical.
