Objective To observe the curative effect of Weifuchun combined with Shenqifuzheng pills in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis.Methods 85 cases patients were divided into the control group of 42 cases and the treatment group of 43 cases.The control group were treated with omeprazole enteric -coated capsules and colloidal bismmth pectin,while the treatment group were treated with Weifuchun and Shenqifuzheng pills.The course of treatment was two months.The patients were treated by endoscopy and pathological review after the treatment,then the datas were comparedwith that before treatment.Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was 67.44%,which of the control group was 40.48%,the was statistically significant difference between the two groups (χ2 =6.22,P <0.05).The symptom scores of stomach tingling,stomach fullness,facial darkness,anorexia and melena in the two groups had statistically significant differences (t =6.14,P <0.05).Conclusion Weifuchun combined with Shenqi-fuzheng pills have good curative effect in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis.It should be popularized in clinic.

Objective To review the relationship between histone modifications and gastrointestinal cancer.Methods Literatures on histone modifications and the relationship between histone modifications and gastrointestinal cancer were collected and reviewed.Results Histone modifications played an important role in the establishment of gene silencing during tumorgenesis.DNA methylation and histone modifications might interact with each other and form a complex network to establish and maintain gene silencing.Restoring gene function silenced by epigenetic changes in cancer had the potential of 'normalizing' cancer cells,which was named epigenetic therapy.Epigenetic therapy was very promising in prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal cancer,but many unsolved issues remain which need to be addressed in future studies.Conclusion Histone modifications are associated with the pathogenesis of gastrointestinal cancer.Restoring gene function silenced by epigenetic changes may have a great role in the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal cancer.

Accumulating studies have proved that systemic inflammation is one of the important pathophysiologic mechanisms of heart failure. This article focuses on the sources of inflammation mediators and the causes of inflammation activation in heart failure including hemodynamic changes and oxidative stress, Toll-like receptors, microbial antigens and microorganisms, endotoxin hypothesis and neurohormonal activation. Furthermore, the effects of inflammation mediators such as cytokines and chemokines on heart failure are introduced. All lead to the conclusion that heart failure is a process with complex inflammation.

Objective To investigate the correlation of ultrasonographic characteristics and pathologic features for malignant mullerian mixed tumor(MMMT)and determine the diagnostic value of ultrasonography.Methods The uItrasonographic features of 10 MMMTs were analyzed retrospectively and the sonographic findings were compared with histological results and discussed the correlation.Results The morphologic features of US and histology were well associated.Large,solitary lesion,ill-defined irregular shape,honeycombed heterogenous echo-pattern,scattered cystic areas and increased irregular peripheral/internal color flow were typical US findings.Logistic regression analysis showed the type of tumor liquefaction to be the most significant independent predictor of vascularity.Conclusions Ultrasonography is helpful for the diagnosis of MMMT,the uhrasonographic characteristics of MMMT are well correlated to its pathologic features.

Objective To study the expression of three survivin splicing variants in gastric cancer and normal gastric mucosa and to evaluate relationship among the survivin variants' expression and proliferation, apoptosis in gastric cancer. Methods Real time quantitative RT-PCR was used to analyze survivin variants expression in 77 paired tumors and normal gastric mucosa in frozen samples at the mRNA level. BACKGROUND:Thrombus formation and neointimal hyperplasia still limit the use of small-caliber expanded poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (ePTFE) vascular prosthesis with a diameter less than 6 mm for revascularization in the coronary or peripheral circulation. Bioactive surface heparin coating is one conceivable path for above-mentioned problems.OBJECTIVE: To elevate the anticoagulant property of ePTFE, this study promoted the patency of a novel small-caliber ePTFE vascular graft by modifying its luminal surface with covalently crosslinked poly(vinyl alcohol)/ p-diazonium diphenyl amine polymer/heparin gel (PVA/PA/Hep gel) and examined the hemocompatibility of the graft.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: Observational experiments were performed at the Nanomedicine and Biosensor Lab,Biomedical Engineering Center, Harbin Institute of Technology from May 2006 to June 2007.MATERIALS: The ePTFE vascular grafts (diameter of 4 mm), Nafion (Naf) and Poly(vinyl alcohol) (Aldrich, USA), heparin (Mw 12 000- 14 000) (Calbiochem, USA), p-diazonium diphenyl amine polymer (PA) (this lab, China) were used in this study.METHODS: ①The vascular graft surface was firstly modified with Nafion. ②Following the impregnation of the mixture of PVA/PA/Hep, covalent crosslinking between polyvinyl alcohol and heparin was performed using crosslinker PA under ultraviolet radiation.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ①Contact angles, ②Attenuated total reflection-fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR), ③Activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) and prothromhin time (PT), ④hemolysis test, ⑤platelet adhesion test and ⑥thrombosin inactivation test.RESULTS: ①The water contact angle of the vascular graft surface was greatly decreased after modifying. ATR-FTIR revealed the disappearance of diazonium groups at 2 172 cm-1 and 2 224 cm-1. Vascular prosthesis after modifying had prolonged APTT and PT, low percent hemolysis and low amount of platelet adhesion. Modified vascular prosthesis had inhibitory effect on thrombosin activity and good coating stability.CONCLUSION: Converage of PVA/PA/Hep has good antithrombotic function and low percent hemolysis, resulting in improving hemocompatibility of vascular prosthesis.

Objective To discuss the utility of lean management in the informationalization of health check-up.Methods A total of 2125 matched adults who received health check-up from April to July 2008 (n =1001) or 2012 (n =1124) were enrolled by using random sampling.Time of health check-up registration and laboratory sheet filling,preparation of final report,consumption of labor force,and integrity of data collection were compared before and after the conduction of lean management.Results Since lean management startup,time of registration was decreased from (250.0 ± 7.7) to (7.8 ± 0.9) min/100persons,time of sheet filling was reduced from (137.0 ± 10.6) to (26.0 ± 2.9) min/100 persons,preparation of final report was less time-consuming ((702.0 ± 11.7) vs.(300.0 ± 12.6) min/100persons).The integrity and accuracy of health check-up reports were significantly improved (67.0％ vs.99.2％).Newer health check-up receivers were increased from 17.8％ to 29.4％ (x2 =461.944,P ＜0.05).Conclusion Lean management may be feasible and effective in the informationalization of health check-up.

Objective To observe the effect of conventional therapy plus trimetazidine on alcoholic cardiomyopathy (ACM) and plasma brain natriuretic peptide (BNP).Methods Eighty-six cases of ACM patients were divided into control group and observation group by random digits table method with 43 cases each.Control group was treated with conventional therapy,while observation group was added trimetazidine.Course of treatment was 3 months.The left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF),left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDD),6 min walk distance,plasma BNP before and after treatment and the efficiency in two groups was observed and compared.Results LVEF,LVEDD,6 min walk distance,BNP before treatment in control group were respectively (37.2 ±7.4)％,(57.6 ±7.4) mm,(312.8 ±21.6) m,(846.2 ±63.7)μg/L,and the indicators in observation group were respectively (38.5 ±8.1)％,(57.1 ±6.8) mm,(316.5 ± 23.9) m,(857.6 ± 61.4) μ g/L.All indicators between two groups was no statistically different (P＞0.05).LVEF,LVEDD,6 min walk distance,BNP after treatment in control group were respectively (43.5 ±8.6)％,(54.3 ± 6.4) mm,(511.6 ± 26.7) m,(679.4 ± 51.3) μg/L,and there were significant difference compared with those before treatment (P ＜ 0.05).LVEF,LVEDD,6 min walk distance,BNP after treatment in observation group were respectively (51.6 ± 9.2)％,(51.2 ± 6.3) mm,(579.3 ± 25.1) m,(536.5 ± 50.6)μ g/L,and there were significant difference compared with those before treatment (P ＜ 0.05).There were significant difference in LVEF,LVEDD,6 min walk distance and BNP after treatment between two groups (P ＜ 0.05).The total effective rate in observation group was 90.7％ (39/43),which was significantly higher than that in control group [72.1％ (31/43)] (x2 =4.914,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Adding trimetazidine on the basis of conventional therapy can improve the cardiac function and myocardial remodeling of ACM patients and improve clinical efficacy.

Objective To investigate the effectiveness analysis of fine nursing care on quality of nursing of critically ill patients with stroke. Methods The control group who came from the neurology department of our hospital between February and April in 2015 were given the routine care. The test group who came from the neurology department of our hospital between May and July in 2015 were given the fine nursing care. The quality of nursing and satisfaction of the relatives of patients were compared. Results In the test group, unqualified rates of nursing quality was 8.8%(81/924) and satisfaction of the relatives of patient was 90.9% (229/252); In the control group, unqualified rates of nursing quality was 22.5%(183/814) and satisfaction of the relatives of patient was 82.0%(182/222).There were significant differences between two teams (χ2=63.191, 8.096, P<0.01 or 0.05). Conclusions Fine nursing care can significantly improve the quality of nursing, improve the nurse-patient relationship and improve satisfaction of the relatives of patients.

Objective To evaluate the reproducibility of quality intima-media thickness(QIMT) and quality arterial stiffness (QAS) technique in assessment of carotid under different measuring methods.Methods Between December 2012 and January 2014,carotid QIMT and QAS examinations were carried out in 30 health volunteers.QIMT and QAS indicators included IMT in QIMT and distensibility coefficient (DC),compliance coefficient(CC),stiffness index α(α),stiffness index β(β),pulse wave velocity(PWV) in QAS.The measurement employed unilateral/once,bilateral/twice,and unilateral/twice methods.Using intra observer and inter-observer variability,the reproducibility was compared between different QIMT and QAS indicators and measuring methods.Results Extremely high level of intra-observer reproducibility was found for both QIMT and QAS technique (ICC＞0.8).QIMT also showed an excellent inter observer reproducibility (ICC＞0.8).In contrast,the reproducibility of QAS technique varied in different indicators (PWV ＞ β ≈ α ＞ CC ＞ DC) and method ( unilateral/once ＞ bilateral/twice ＞ unilateral/twice).Conclusions QIMT measurement was highly reproducible.Whereas the reproducibility of QAS technique varied in different indicators and methods.Due to low reproducibility,the study result did not support the clinical application of DC indicator and unilateral/once method.
