Objective: Analyze the ecological adaptable regions for the resource reservation and the expanding cultiva-tion of Quisqualis indica L. Methods: The Traditional Chinese Medicine Geographic Information System (TCMGIS) was used to analyze the ecological adaptable region. Results: The 17 provinces (city, municipalities) were the ecolog-ical adaptable region for Q. indica L. The 100% ecology similarity regions are mainly in 16 provinces (city, munici-palities), including Guangxi, Guangdong, Hunan, Fujian etc., which area accounts for 1 012 895.98 km2. Among these, the area in Guangxi province is the largest (195 313.64 km2), the second is Guangdong (150 276.36 km2), the following order is Hunan(128 925.29 km2), Fujian (101 471.16 km2) and Y unnan (100 660.83 km2). The 95%~100%ecology similarity regions is located in 16 provinces (city, municipalities), including Y unnan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Hubei province etc., which area accounts for 362 366.25 km2. The largest area is in Y unnan province (92 399.04 km2), followed by Sichuan(76 122.32 km2), Guizhou (43 902.38 km2), Hubei (31 760.32 km2) and Jiangxi (29 770.09 km2). Conclusion: The results are consistent with the survey results and the previous reports. To promote the develop-ment of Q. indica L. cultivation, the planting scientifically and quality evalution should be further conducted on the basis of the results by system analysis.

Objective To explore the relationship between serum magnesium level, abdominal aortic calcification(AAC) and mineral metabolism in continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysispatients. Methods Sixty-two cases patients who were on Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis in Pritoneal Dialysis Center of Qingdao Municipal Hospital were enrolled prospectively. The AAC was detected by abdomen lateral plain radiographs, and the AAC score(AACs) was calculated.According to the AACs,the patients were divided into group A(AACs≤4 points) and group B(from >4 point to ≤15 point) and group C(AACs>15 point). And collected the patient′s clinical data and blood biochemical indicators. The serum magnesium levels of 3 groups were observed, and explored the relationship of serum magnesium and intact parathyroid hormone(iPTH),serum calcium, serum phosphorus. Results There were 41 cases of vascular calcification in 62 cases maintenance ambulatory peritoneal dialysis patients, and its incidence was 66.13%.Group levels of serum magnesium were in group A was (1.00±0.18) mmol/L,(0.89±0.10) mmol/L of group B,and (0.75±0.13) mmol/L of group C,the mean differences were significant(F=11.99,P<0.05),and the group A was significantly higher than the group B and C,the differences were significant(P<0.05),the group B was significantly higher than the group C,the difference was significant(P<0.05).There was negatively correlation between serum magnesium and iPTH(r=-0.288,P<0.05),serum phosphorus(r=-0.272,P<0.05) and AACs(r=-0.610,P<0.01).While there was no significant correlation of serum calcium(r=0.174,P>0.05).Conclusion Vascular is the calcification frequent complications in continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis patients. The serum level of serum magnesium may be correlated with the AAC,iPTH,serum phosphorus.

Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of methimazole combined with selenium therapy in the treatment of hyperthyroidism .Methods 130 cases with hyperthyroidism were selected , and according to the digital table they were randomly divided into methimazole plus selenium treatment group ( ATD +Se group ) and methimazole treatment group(ATD group),65 cases in each group. The patients were followed up for 3 months. The thyroid function index and thyroid antibody index were observed before and after treatment .The adverse reactions were observed, too. Results After treatment, the serum levels of FT3,FT4,TSH in the ATD +Se group were (3.32 ± 0.53)pg/mL,(1.02 ±0.17)ng/dL,(2.72 ±0.32)mIU/L,respectively,which in the ATD group were (4.82 ± 0.75)pg/mL,(2.41 ±0.32)ng/dL,(2.72 ±0.32)mIU/L,respectively.The change ranges of the ATD +Se group were better than those of the ATD group ,the differences were statistically significant (t=4.591,3.814,3.567,all P<0.05).The TPOAb,TGAb,TRAb in the ATD+Se group were (120.3 ±23.1) IU/mL,(123.3 ±26.5) IU/mL, (1.72 ±0.89)IU/mL,respectively,which in the ATD group were (132.8 ±21.1)IU/mL,(134.8 ±21.3)IU/mL, (3.68 ±1.06)IU/mL,respectively.The changes of the ATD+Se group were more significant than those of the ATD group, the differences were statistically significant (t=4.291,3.514,3.767,all P<0.05 ).The total effective rate of the ATD+Se group was higher than that of the ATD group (90.77%vs.76.92%χ2 =13.147,P<0.05 ).The incidence rate of adverse reactions in the ATD +Se group was lower than that in the ATD group (12.31%vs.27.69%χ2 =18.685,P<0.05 ).Conclusion The results suggest that methimazole combined with selenium treatment is effective and safe for hyperthyroidism .

From November to December of 2018, twenty 65-year-old or older women patients with knee osteoarthritis were recruited from the Department of Physical Therapy, the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University. Meanwhile, twenty healthy 65-year-old or older women were recruited from the local community. The results showed that the knee contact angle of the patient group was more flexed ( P=0.040), and the minimum angle of the knee joint increased ( P=0.008) during the stance period compared to the healthy group. However, there was no significant difference in the maximum contact angle between the angle of hip and ankle joints. In addition, the tibialis anterior muscle of the patients was significantly smaller than the healthy group ( P=0.023). Therefore, knee osteoarthritis could change the gait and muscle activity of older women, especially the knee joint.

OBJECTIVETo propose a new method for automatic segmentation of manually determined knee articular cartilage into 9 subregions for T2 measurement.
METHODSThe middle line and normal line were automatically obtained based on the outline of articular cartilage manually drawn by experienced radiologists. The region of articular cartilage was then equidistantly divided into 3 layers along the direction of the normal line, and each layer was further equidistantly divided into 3 segments along the direction of the middle line. Finally the mean T2 value of each subregion was calculated. Bland-Altman analysis was used to evaluate the agreement between the proposed and manual subregion segmentation methods.
RESULTSThe 95% limits of agreement of manual and automatic methods ranged from -3.04 to 3.20 ms, demonstrating a narrow 95% limits of agreement (less than half of the minimum average). The coefficient of variation between the manual and proposed subregion methods was 4.04%.
CONCLUSIONThe proposed subregion segmentation method shows a good agreement with the manual segmentation method and minimizes potential subjectivity of the manual method.
