Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2013;(15):74-75
Objective To study the effect of health education on glycolipid metabolism of patients with diabetes mellitus. Methods 120 patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus were divided into the general-education group and the reinforcement-education group with 60 patients in each group, who received routine health education and reinforced health education. The index of glycolipid metabolism between two groups were compared. Results The TG,TC,HDL,LDL,HbA1C,GLU0 and GLU120 of the two groups were all higher than those before treatment. And the TG,TC,LDL,HbA1C,GLU0 and GLU120 of the reinforcement-education group were higher than those of the general-education group after six months. Conclusions The earlier health education, especially reinforced health education, has profound significance on maintaining good glycolipid metabolism for patients with diabetes mellitus.
2.Effect of letrozole on the proliferation of uterine leiomyoma cells in vitro
Cancer Research and Clinic 2009;21(4):242-244,250
Objective To investigate the expression of aromatase cytochrome P450 (P450arom), the secretion of estradiol and the suppressive effect of aromatase inhibitor letrozole on the proliferation of uterine leiomyoma cells in vitro. Methods Uterine leiomyoma cells were cultured in vitro, after the action of letrozole with different concentration, MTT was used to examine the proliferative activity of uterine leiomyoma cells, RT-PCR and immunocytochemistry was used to determine the expression of the P450arom protein and mRNA, and the concentration of estradiol in media supernatant was measured by radioimmunity. Results Low dosage (0.06 μmol/L) of letrozole had no effect on the expression of P450arom protein and mRNA, and estradiol synthesis in uterine leiomyoma cell (P>0.05). However, high dosage(0,6-6 μmol/L) of letrozole could down-regulate the expression of P450arom, and to inhibit estradiol synthesis and the proliferation activity of uterine leiomyoma cells(P<0.05). Furthermore, the inhibition were shown to decline gradually along with the increase in the concentrations of letrozole. Conclusion The aromatase inhibitor letrozole could suppress the proliferation of uterine leiomyoma cells in the dosage-dependent manner by down-regulating the expression of the P450arom and decreasing the estradiol synthesis, suggesting that the drug may possibly be effective in the clinical treatment of uterine leiomyoma.

Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2011;26(5):410-413
Objective To explore the expression and significance of MTSS1 ( metastasis suppressor 1) in hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods MTSS1 expression was detected by immunohistochemistry in hepatocellular carcinoma, liver cirrhosis and normal liver tissues.Single-factor analysis was used to study the relationship with clinicopathological factor.Correlations between MTSS1 expression and TNM stage were analyzed with Spearman rank correlation analysis.Postoperative 5-year survival was evaluated using Kaplan-Meier survival curve analysis. Results The expression of MTSS1 in hepatocellular carcinoma was higher than normal liver tissue ( U = 168.000, P < 0.05), and liver cirrhotic tissue ( U = 106.000, P < 0.05); MTSS1 expression was correlated with TNM stage of hepatocellular carcinoma patients, lymph vascular invasion and tumor capsule ( separately U = 259.000, 258.500, 202.000, all P < 0.05).MTSS1 expression in hepatocellular carcinoma was not correlated with patients age, gender, tumor size, AFP level, and hepatitis B surface antigen.MTSS1 expression and TNM stage of liver cancer patients was negatively correlated ( rs = - 0.383 , P < 0.05 ).Postoperative 5-year survival of hepatocellular carcinoma patients with MTSS1 positive expression was significantly poorer than patients with negative and weakly positive expression (respectively 34.1% and 52.3% , x2 =6.386, P < 0.05).Conclusions MTSS1 high expression may play an important role in the early hepatocellular carcinoma progression, indicating a poor prognosis.

Objective To study the effects of Grape Procyanidins(GPC)on hemorheology in long distance runner.Method In vitro study: 22 long distance runners were divided into two groups randomly, the experimental group and control group. With ten days period, the experimental group was given GPC 200 mg per day;while the control group were given the capsule of starch 200 mg per day.In vivo study: the vein blood samples were taken from 5 long distance runners and every example was divided into five parts, and then treated with different concentrations of GPC or H2O2.Items of the hemorheology such as Er,HCT,Eb,Ep,PFC and VAI were tested both in vivo and vitro before and after the study. Results in vitro study: all items of the experimental group showed significant decline at then end of the study than those before the study. The contents of Er,Eb and Ep before the study(6.830?0.164,4.145?0.177,1.647?0.020,respectively) were significantly higher than those after the study(6.759?0.158,4.088?0.173,1.621?0.013,respectively)(P

Objective To investigate the streptomycin(SM)-resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) in urine and to examine their relationships with the mutation of rspL gene. Methods 47 strains of MTB were isolated from the urine of patients with renal tuberculosis. The mutation of rspL gene were analyzed by PCR-SSCP with silver-staining,and the strains were tested for the sensitivity to streptomycin. Results All the 47 strains had positive expression of rspL gene of MTB,with 28 SM-resistant and 19 SM-sensitive.Among the 28 SM-resistence strains 19(68%) had rspL gene mutation by SSCP testing. The 19 strains of SM-sensitive had no mutation. Conclusions Detecting mutation of MTB rspL gene in urine by PCR-SSCP can rapidly and exactly identify the MTB's sensitivity to streptomycin, which is significantly important in clinical treatment of anti-tuberculosis.
