Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2016;22(6):667-671
Balance function assessments for stroke patients include instruments and scales. The instruments consist of static balance test systems and dynamic balance test systems. The commonly used static balance test systems include balance performance monitor (BPM) and Tetrax balance test system, and the dynamic balance test systems include Active Balancer EAB-100 and Pro-Kin 254. The balance scales contained Berg Balance Scale, Postural Assessment Scale for Stroke Patients, Timed Up and Go Test, Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Bal-ance, Tinetti Performance Oriented Mobility Assessment, and Five-Times-Sit-to-Stand Test, etc. This article reviewed the features and indi-cations of them.

Objective To explore experiences of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to take up the home- based resistance training. Methods Twenty- two patients with COPD who completed the 12 weeks home- based resistance training were interviewed deeply, the phenomenological analysis method was used. Results Though reading, analysis, reflection, separation, theme refining, two themes were drawn: self- perceived benefits; pyhcological, social and healthy status barriers on taking up and persisting in the exercises. Conclusions The study finds that self- perceived benefits, psychological changes and confusion in COPD patients during home- based resistance training. As the medical staff, to seize the COPD patients for the purpose of health to do the health education and strengthen the relevant training, to help the patient perceive benefits on resistance training, to enhance the confidence of participating in the pulmonary rehabilitation, to promote the behavior change. Additionally, we should identify obstacles early and take up the intervention, to stimulate the enthusiasm of home- based resistance training in patients with COPD.

Objective To explore the reliability of handgrip strength test for evaluating mobility in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods Sixty-one COPD patients in stable stage were measured for handgrip strength and 6-minute walking test(6MWT).The receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC) was calculated to determine the best cutoff points of handgrip strength. Results Handgrip strength was (33.72-±7.47) kgf,6MWD was (437.06±97.96) m,handgrip strength was moderately correlated with 6MWD (r=0.404,P=0.001).6MWD≥350 m was used to classify two groups, and there was significant difference between two groups(P<0.05).Area under the curv e was 0.722,and the best cutoff points was 32.8 kgf. Conclusion Handgrip strength test can be a useful tool to quickly identify mobility in patients with stable COPD.

Chinese Journal of Gastroenterology 2018;23(2):120-123
Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is a chronic non-specific intestinal inflammatory disease, including ulcerative colitis(UC)and Crohn's disease(CD). Changing lifestyle can improve patients'symptoms to a certain extent and enhance the efficacy of drugs. The anti-inflammatory effect of exercise in IBD has been confirmed, but its specific mechanism is not clear. This article reviewed the advances in study on the anti-inflammatory effect of exercise on IBD.

Objective To investigate the prevalence and influential factors of workplace violence (WPV) against nurses in general hospitals of Suzhou. Methods A total of 2110 staff nurses from 13 general hospitals in Suzhou were investigated with the Modified Version of Hospital Workplace Violence Questionnaire. Results During the past one year,68.9% (1454/2110) nurses investigated suffered from WPV.Working departments, marital status, strong support, etc, were the leading impact factors of WPV. Conclusions Nurses′experience of WPV is a prevalent phenomenon in general hospitals of Suzhou. It is urgent for hospital administration to raise attention to WPV and take effective measures,to reduce the occurrence of WPV.

Objective To observe the effect of warning signs applied in nursing for children with HFMD and encephalitis .Methods Made the warning signs of uniform , eye catching according with the characteristics of infection department , used the normative warning signs pointedly in the service process of clinical nursing. Then, the incidence of nursing adverse events and satisfaction was observed and compared before and after the warning signs used .Results The incidence of nursing adverse events was decreased from 4.72% to 0.64%, and the difference was statistically significant (χ2 =5.24,P<0.05).The satisfaction rate of patients was increased from (6.75 ±0.49) to (9.20 ±0.63), and the satisfaction rate of nurses was increased from (66.25 ±8.30) to (74.65 ±10.91),and the differences between them were statistically significant (t=-46.49,-4.060,respectively;P <0.01).Conclusions Application of warning signs enhances the risk awareness of nurse , improves the efficiency of nursing work , promotes harmonious relationship between nurses and patients, makesures the safety of patients .

Objective:To construct a color assessment tool for continuous bladder irrigation (CBI) drainage fluid and to explore its clinical value. Methods:The color assessment tool for CBI drainage fluid (tentative version) was constructed through literature review, expert meetings and practical development, and its consistency was tested and the tool was improved to form a color assessment tool for CBI drainage fluid. Convenience sampling was used to select patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia who underwent transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) in the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from April to May 2020. According to the assessment method of the tool, the patient's drainage fluid color was evaluated and recorded. Results:The color assessment tool for CBI drainage fluid included 6 color scales, and the corresponding Pantone color card codes were 503C, 3519C, 701C, 702C, 710C, 1807C respectively, and the blood concentration was 0.125%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 2.0%, 4.0% and 8.0% respectively. The tool was used to evaluate the drainage fluid color in 29 patients after TURP. Each evaluation took (5.12±2.41) s; when the color scale was greater than number two, complications such as the bladder spasm and blood clot blockage occurred. Conclusions:The construction method of color assessment tool for CBI drainage fluid is scientific and reliable, which can provide a basis for evaluating the CBI drainage fluid color, and can assist medical and nursing staff to quickly evaluate the drainage fluid color and find abnormal color scales.

Objective:To summarize evidence for physical activity management in cancer patients based on the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) approach for evidence synthesis in health care, providing a scientific basis for the clinical standardization of physical activity management in cancer patients. Methods:Literature was searched according to the "6S" pyramid model of evidence, using BMJ Best Practice, UpToDate, JBI Evidence-Based Practice Database, Cochrane Library, global guideline websites, professional cancer association websites, and relevant Chinese and English databases for all evidence regarding physical activity in cancer patients. The search covered the period from February 13, 2018, to February 13, 2023. Guided by the JBI approach for evidence synthesis, two researchers independently evaluated the quality of the literature and extracted relevant evidence in accordance with clinical scenarios. Results:Thirty articles were included, comprising two guidelines, three expert consensuses, one evidence summary, 21 systematic reviews, and three randomized controlled trials. A total of 29 best evidence points were summarized in six aspects: benefits of physical activity, physically active people, pre-activity assessment, implementation of physical activity programs, safety monitoring of physical activity, and ongoing support strategies. Conclusions:This study supplements and updates 15 pieces of evidence based on existing evidence, ultimately forming a best evidence summary for the management of physical activity in cancer patients, providing evidence-based support for clinical management. Most evidence comes from international studies. It is recommended that Chinese researchers consider the activity ability and willingness of cancer patients when applying these findings in future research, and consider the specific clinical context, or conduct foundational research to further validate the evidence, to comprehensively improve the quality of life of cancer patients.
