BACKGROUND: +Gz-induced acute dysencephalia and its protection is one of the significant topics in Aero-medical researches. Its pathological mechanism, however, is still unclear and protective measures should be developed further. OBJECTIVE: To observe the expression of inducible nitricoxide synthase (iNOS) in brain tissue after +Gz exposure and to analyze the protective effects of danshen and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) on repeated +Gz exposure-induced brain injury. DESIGN: Randomized controlled animal study. SETTING: Researching Center of Molecular Biology, Air-force General Hospital of Chinese PLA.MATERIALS: The experiment was carried out at the Researching Center of Molecular Biology, Air-force General Hospital of Chinese PLA from April to August 2000. A total of 20 healthy SD rats of clean grade were divided into 5 groups according to randomly digital table, including control group, +Gz exposure group, bFGF group, danshen group and saline group with 4 in each group.METHODS: All rats were fixed on rotatory arm of centrifugal apparatus, and their heads were towards core of the apparatus. Except the rats in control group, the value of +Gz exposure was +14 Gz, and the growth rate was 1.5 G/s. The exposure at peak value lasted for 45 s. +Gz exposure was done for three times, and the interval was 30 minutes. Rats in the control group were also treated with the same +Gz exposing procedure, but the G value was +1 Gz. Rats in bFGF group and danshen group were intraperitoneally injected with 100 μg/kg of bFGF and/or 15 g/kg of danshen solution, respectively, at 30 minutes before centrifugation and immediateness after centrifugation; moreover, rats in saline group were injected with the same volume of saline. Six hours after exposure, rats were cut off their heads to obtain the brains which were maintained in liquid nitrogen for RNA extraction. The expression of iNOS mRNA in brain tissues of the rats in each group was detected with semi-quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and calculated on the basis of ratio between iNOS and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrognase.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Expressed level of iNOS mRNA in brain tissue of rats.RESULTS: Expression of iNOS mRNA in brain tissue was higher in repeated +Gz exposure group than that in control group (0.452 ±0.014,0.065±0.008, P < 0.01); however, that was lower in bFGF group and dan-shen group than that in +Gz exposure group (0.196±0.010, 0.183±0.011,0.452±0.014, P < 0.01).CONCLUSION: Repeated +Gz exposure can increase the expression of iNOS mRNA, this plays an important role in cerebral injury induced by repeated +Gz exposure. Moreover, bFGF and danshen have protective effects on cerebral injury induced by +Gz exposure.

70% for 9 patients;the positive rate was between 30-70% for 4 patients;the positive rate 0.05). Conclusion Tamm-Horsfall detection of RBC in urine could be used as one of the Identification indicators for DN hematuria, and it can provide a basis for diagnosis and treatment of DN.

Objective To investigate the dyslipidemia in patients with psoriasis, and the characteristics of the serum lipids in pa-tients with different types of psoriasis. Methods 332 psoriatic patients were devided into pustular psoriatic, psoriasis vulgaris and erythrodermic psoriasis based on clinical manifestations.Serum lipids of the three groups were analyzed including TC,TG,HDL-C, LDL-C,ApoA1,ApoB and Lp(a).Results The serum concentrations of TC,HDL-C,ApoA1 in patients with psoriasis were signifi-cantly lower than those in control group(P <0.05),while the concentration of Lp(a)was significantly higher in psoriasis patients compared with those in control group(P <0.05).The serum level of TC,HDL-C,LDL-C and ApoA1 in pustular psoriasis group were significantly lower than those in the other two groups(P <0.05).Conclusion The patients with psoriasis have dyslipidemia, and the serious disorder situation could be associated with psoriasis types.

Objective To investigate the distribution and incidence of hyperuricemia for the Zhoushan island residents in Zhe-jiang province and provide scientific advice for health management. Methods The uric acid reports of island residents were analyzed by a retrospective statistical analysis in the Physical Examination Center of the 413 Hospital from October 2013 to October 2015.The patients with metabolic diseases (such as diabetes, chronic renal failure and other people, etc.)were ex-cluded.According to the different gender and different age groups, the average level of uric acid, hyperuricemia occurrence rate and the difference among the groups were performed statistical analyses. The single factor analysis of variance was used by Microsoft 2003 Excel software. Results The average serum uric acid level of 7 310 island residents was 283±82μmol/L and the incidence of hyperuricemia was 21.2%.The incidence of hyperuricemia was 33.6% in 31~40 years group, and the average level of uric acid was 343±86μmol/L and significantly higher than≤30 years group, significant statistic difference were observed. The incidence of hyperuricemia was more than 15% in≥41 years group, significantly higher than≤30 years group. The population of physical examination was concentrated in the 31~40 years group. The hyperuricemia incidence was 27.9% in 5 214 male residents, and the average serum uric acid level was 368±74μmol/L and higher than the female group (P<0.001).The hyperuricemia incidence was as high as 43.1% in 31~40 years group. But the level of average serum uric acid showed no significant difference with≤30 years group(P>0.05).The level of average serum uric acid level was less in≥61 and 41~50 years group than in ≤30 years group (P<0.05),but the hyperuricemia incidence were higher than ≤30 years group. The incidence of hyperuricemia was 4.6% in 2 096 female residents. The level of average serum uric acid was 257±57μmol/L and lower than the male group in all age groups (P<0.001).The incidence of hyperuricemia was 18.6% in≥60 years old and lower than 10% in the other groups. The incidence of hyperuricemia increased gradually with age.Conclu-sion The hyperuricemia incidence in island residents was higher, and higher in male than in female. The occurrence of hype-ruricemia was significantly younger. Therefore, health education, reasonable diet adj ustment, improvement of lifestyle and eating habits etc.Should be conducted for a long time to prevent the occurrence of hyperuricemia and related diseases.

Objective To explore the role of acute infection of Chlamydia pneumoniae (Cpn) in respiratory diseases. Methods Microimmunofluorescence test was used to detect IgG antibodies for Cpn in serum obtained from 93 inpatients and PCR was used to test Cpn in detection of Cpn DNA in throat specimens from 55 of the 99 patients. Results Acute Cpn infection was diagnosed in 35.5% of the respiratory diseases. Antibodies for Cpn (titer of ≥512) were present in 47.6% of the pneumonia group, which may suggest that during 1998 to 1999, Cpn caused an epidemic in Beijing. They were also present in 50% of asthma group, 50.0% of pulmonary heart disease group and 26.3% of lung cancer group. Only five patients (9.1%) were positive by PCR. There exists discrepancy between serological and PCR results. Conclusion Detection of IgG antibodies for Cpn conduces to diagnosis of acute Cpn infection and give advice for appropriate therapy.
