1.The enhancing effect of Polyporus Umbellatus Polysccharide on immunological functions of mice
Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(03):-
In this report we studied the effect of Polyporus Umbellatus Polysaccharide on immunological function of mice. The results show indicate that Polyporus Umbellatus Polysaccharide is able to enhance the proliferation responses of T cells and B cells to mitogen ConA and LPS, and also specific antibodyforming cells against SR BC and DTH induced by allogeneic splenocytes as well as the killing activity of function CTL. These results suggest that Polyporus Umbellatus Polysaccharide might function in its anti-tumor effect by enhancing the immune function.
2.Glucagon-like peptide-1: a new Alzheimers disease interventive strategy
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(05):-
Glucagon-like peptide-1 is an endogenous 30-amino acid gut peptide, which binds at the GLP-1 receptor coupled to the cyclic AMP second messenger pathway.Stimulation of neuronal GLP-1 receptors plays an important role in regulating neuronal plasticity and cell survival.GLP-1 has been documented to induce neurite outgrowth and to protect against excitotoxic cell death and oxidative injury in cultured neuronal cells.Moreover,GLP-1 and Exendin-4,a naturally occuring more stable analogue of GLP-1 that likewise binds at the GLP-1 receptor, were shown to reduce levels of ?-amyloid precusor protein(?APP) in neurons.Treatment with GLP-1 or a related peptide beneficially affects a number of the therapeutic targets associated with Alzheimers disease(AD).This review will consider the potential therapeutic relevance of GLP-1 to AD.
3.New diagnostics is critically important to tuberculosis disease control
Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2003;0(07):-
The new, rapid, accurate and convenient tests for tuberculosis diagnosis and drug resistance are urgently needed for effective tuberculosis control. In this review, two novel, inexpensive diagnosis methods of active TB were introduced. They can detect tuberculosis disease and drug resistances directly form sputum specimens and might have greater applicability in developing countries.Several concerns about the research and development of innovative diagnosis technology in our country also are described.
4.Effect of air pressure wave on the prevention of lower limb deep venous thrombosis in patients with cerebral stroke and the application value of color Doppler ultrasound
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2014;21(6):805-807
Objective To explore the effect of air pressure wave on the prevention of lower limb deep venous thrombosis in patients with cerebral stroke and the application value of color Doppler ultrasound (CDUS).Methods 72 stroke patients were randomly divided into experimental group (n =37) and control group (n =35) by random digits table. The control group received routine nursing, conventional and rehabilitation therapy. The experimental group was treated by the air pressure wave for 15 days on the basis of the control group.DVT formation of lower extremities and hemodynamic changes before and after treatment was observed by CDUS,and the results were compared with the X-ray phlebography examination results. Results CDUS displayed the incidence rate of DVT in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group (2.7% vs 20.0%,x2 =5.449,P <0.05).The changes of blood flow velocity and the average reflux time of femoral, popliteal vein in the experimental group had significant differences between before and after treatment (t =8.503,4.254,8.587,2.062,all P < 0.05) ;and in the control group, only popliteal vein blood flow velocity had statistically significant difference (t =6.895,2.116,4.169,all P < 0.05).Compared with the X-ray angiography,8 cases of DVT diagnosed by CDUS were consistent, but 1 case of DVT in the control group was missed diagnosis. Conclusion Air pressure wave can effectively reduce the occurrence of DVT in patients with cerebral stroke.CDUS can accurately diagnose the DVT formation, and can help to understand the hemodynamic change,it has important clinical value for monitoring the preventive effect of DVT.
5.Nosocomial Infection in Preterm Infants:A Clinical Analysis of Its Correlative Factors
Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(08):-
OBJECTIVE To explore the correlative fators of nosocomial infections of preterm infants and decrease the infections rate of preterm infants.METHODS A retrospective analysis of nosocomial infection was made among preterm infants in our hospital from Jan 1998 to Dec 2005.RESULTS The incidence rate of nosocomial infections of preterm infants was 12.28%.The most infection site was respiratory tract.Small gestational age,low birth weight and birth asphyxia were the risk factors of nosocomial infections.CONCLUSIONS Intensive care of preterm infants and rational use of antibiotics are effective methods to decrease the rate of nosocomial infections.
6.Quality Standard of Danchong Liniment
China Pharmacy 2001;0(12):-
OBJECTIVE:To establish the quality standard of Danchong liniment.METHODS:Cortex Moutan,Radix Isatidis,Rhizoma Paridis,Fructus Crataegi and Fructus Mume in the formula were identified qualitatively by TLC.The content of Paeonol was determined by HPLC in which Hypersil C18 column(150 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m)was used with mobile phase consisted of methanol-water(45∶55)at a flow rate of 1 mL?min-1.The detection wavelength was set at 274 nm and the column temperature was set at 30 ℃.RESULTS:Clear characteristic spots of Cortex Moutan,Radix Isatidis,Rhizoma Paridis,Fructus Crataegi and Fructus Mume were noted in TLC identification. The linearity of Paeonol was good in the range of 0.048 2~0.482 0 ?g(r=0.999 9)with an average recovery of 99.01%(RSD=1.60%,n=6).CONCLUSION:The established quality standard can be used for the quality control of Danchong liniment.

8.A Study on the Treatment of Ketoacidosis in Diabetes Mellitus-Analysis of 100 Cases
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(03):-
Of 807 Cases of Diabetes mellitus, 100 were ketoacidosis with or with-ot coma(40 Cases among them with coma), 55 were males, 45 females. Therange of age was 5 to 76 years. There were 39 cases of ketonemia with ju-venile diabetes, and the incidence was 29. 5 per cent of 137 cases. 61 werefound to have ketonemia with adult dialetes, the incidence being 10. 2 percent of 594 cases. Blood glucose level was 166. 7 to 1000mg/dl. The mostcommon precipitating causcs of ketonemia were infection and the dis-continue of insulin treatment(58 per cent). According to the dosage of insu-lin, our patients were divided into two groups. One was a small dosagegroup(the total mean dose 25. 5 ? 3. 1 u), the other was a large dosage group(the first 8 hours' mean dose 121. 67 ? 102u, the fitst 24 hours' mean dose206. 62 ? 18. 01) There were on death and severe complications of insulintherapy in the small dosage group, but 13 (16 per cent) were died in thelarge dosage group, in which there took place such complications as hypo-kele mia(11 per cent), hypoglycemia (26 per cent) and encephaledema (3. 8per cent). Also, the negative acetone bodies occured faster in the smalldosage group. For this reason, we consider the effect of the treatment inthe small dosage group was better. Recently, we have controlled alkelidosage more strictly than before. 100-200ml of 4% Bicarbonate was givento the patient if the blood CO_2 combinedpower was lower than 20 Vol pe,
