Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(05):-
Objective To sum up MRI and MR venography features of the dural sinus thrombosis (DST).Methods The findings of MRI and MR venography in 20 patients with DST were retrospectively analysed. Results MRI showed the normal flowing void of the dural sinus disappeared, instead of the abnormal high signal intensities. The easily involved positions respectively were transversal - sigmoid, superior sagittal and straight sinuses. Some cortical drainage and large internal cerebral veins were also involved . MR venography demonstrated that there were no blood flowing in these involved dural sinuses or veins . The locations of these lesions in MRI were same as that in MRV.Conclusion Because the DST can be directly displayed in MRI and MR venography, they are the most reliable methods of non- invasive diagnosis of DST.

Chinese Journal of Emergency Medicine 2012;21(9):1007-1011
Objective To investigate the risk factors of trauma induced coagulopathy and its effect on the outcome of ICU patients with severe trauma. Methods Totally 223 severe trauma patients admitted to emergency ICU within 24h after injuring between June,2008 and September,2009 were retrospectively analyzed.Injury severity score (ISS),APACHE Ⅱ score, coagulation function, routine blood test, biochemical test, and blood gas assay were completed for each patient. Hypoperfusion was defined as vasoactive agents usage,or base deficit (BD) ≥ 6 or shock index ≥ 1. Patients were divided into coagulopathy group and non-coagulopathy (control) group according to coagulation function.ISS,APACHE Ⅱ score, the occurrence of hypothermia and hypoperfusion were compared between the two groups. The risk factors of trauma induced coagulopathy were analyzed, and the multivariate logistic regression equation was formulated.Coagulation function and incidence of trauma induced coagulopathy were compared between nonsurvival and survival group. Results Fifty-two of 223 (23.3 % ) patients met the criteria of trauma induced coagulopathy.Mortality rate in this group was significantly higher than that in non-coagulopathy group (36.5% vs 9.4%, P < 0.01 ). Patients in both groups had the comparability in age, sex, injury mechanism and time after trauma.ISS,the incidence of hypothermia, hypoperfusion and severe traumatic brain injury in coagulopathy group were higher than those in non-coagulopathy group ( P < 0.01 ).GCS,hemoglobin, hematocrit, and platelet counts in coagulopathy group were significantly lower than that in noncoagulopathy group (P< 0.01).Base deficit ≥6,GCS ≤ 8,and platelet counts were considered as the independent risk factors involved in trauma- induced coagulopathy according to logistic regression in this study.Coagulation function of non-survivors also remarkably attenuated when compared with survival group. Conclusions The incidence rate of trauma induced coagulopathy is high in severe trauma patients admitted to ICU within 24h. Trauma induced coagulopathy correlates well with ISS core, severe traumatic brain injury, shock and hypothermia, and results in high mortality.

Chinese Journal of Neurology 2021;54(3):236-241
Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics of adult abdominal migraine (AM), and improve the understanding and the accuracy of diagnosis of this disease. Methods:A case of adult AM diagnosed in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University in October 2019 was reported, and patients diagnosed with AM in the medical literature from January 2004 to May 2020 were searched and summarized. Results:A total of 634 articles were retrieved, among which 14 articles reported 17 adult AM patients, totally 18 adult AM patients (11 females),including the case diagnosed in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. Only two cases were diagnosed within one year after the onset, and the other cases were diagnosed several years later, of which the longest diagnostic delay was 37 years. The location and nature of abdominal pain were diverse. The median frequency of episodes was 2.5 times per month. Sixteen patients had a duration of 2-72 hours per attack, and the longest one lasted for four days. Fourteen patients had nausea, 13 had vomiting, and seven had headache. Fifteen patients had a personal or family history of migraine. Sixteen patients′ episodes were separated by weeks to months. Because nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs were not beneficial to adults with AM, abortive triptan therapy was recommended and anesthetics were considered when necessary. All patients responded to prophylactic migraine therapies. Conclusions:Adult AM is a rare disease. Patients with unexplained, recurrent and moderate to severe abdominal pain, combined with headache, a personal or family history of migraine, are highly suspected of having AM. Early diagnosis and prophylactic migraine therapies could contribute to good prognosis.
