Objective To investigate the placenta perfusion in pre-eclampsia by three-dimensional power Doppler ultrasound and analysing the clinical outcome. Method 80 cases of normal and pre-eclampsia pregnant women from July 2007 to May 2008 in Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital were studied. The control group of 36 cases, pre-eclampsia were divided into three groups: a total of 44 cases, mild pre-eclampsia group (9 cases), severe pre-eclampsia group (26 cases) and chronic hypertension with pre-eclampsia group (9 cases). The placental vascular index (VI), flow index (FI), blood vessels and blood flow index (VFI) by three-dimensional Doppler histogram and the umbilical blood flow systolic to diastolic (S/D) by color Doppler flow imaging were calculated and the gestational age after delivery, birth weight, placental weight after birth were recorded respectively. Results (1)VI、 FI、 VFI and umbilical blood flow S/D value :6.3±2.9, 38.6±4.4, 2.7±1.3, 2.5±0.6 in normal group ;5.7±3.8, 36.3±7.2, 2.4±2.0, 2.4±0.3 in mild pre-eclampsia group;3.0±2.4, 31.7±5.0, 1.1±1.0, 2.9±1.3 in severe pre-eclampsia group ;2.2±1.6, 26.1±4.4, 0.8±0.6, 3.1±1.6 in chronic hypertension with pre-eclampsia group. Placenta of normal group and mild preeclampsia group VI, FI, VFI were no significant difference (P>0.05), placental VI, FI, VFI of severe preeclampsia group and chronic hypertension with severe pre-eclampsia group were significantly lower than the normal group (P<0.01) and than mild pre-eclampsia group (P<0.05). The umbilical blood flows were not obvious difference among four groups (P>0.05) ; (2) Gestationul age after birth, birth weight, low newborn weight rate and placental weight:(38.7±1.5 ) weeks, (3280±520) g, 3%, (568±141) g in normal group; (37.9±1.0) weeks, (2971±265) g, 0,(576±98) g in mild pre-eclampsia group; (33.2±2.6) weeks, (1820±737) g,58%, (458±154) g in severe pre-eclampsia group; (32.6±2.6) weeks, (1497±533) g, 7/9, (396±141) g in chronic hypertension with pre-eclampsia group. The normal group and mild pre-eclampsia group in gestationul age after birth, birth weight, low newborn weight rate and placental weight were not significant difference (P>0.05); severe pre-eelampsia and chronic hypertension with severe pre-eclampsia group in them were significantly lower than the normal group (P<0.01) and than mild pre-eclampsia group (P<0.05).Conclusions (1) Placental blood flow perfusion of the severe pre-eclampsia and pre-eclampsia with chronic hypertension of pregnancy decreased resulting in clinically lower placental weight, birth weight and gestational age at delivery, but there were no obvious differences in umbilical blood flow S/D values. (2) The investigation was helpful to clinical diagnosis in the placenta perfusion of pre-eclampsia by three-dimensional power Doppler ultrasound.

Objective:To compare the effect of fluorescence staining and periodic acid-Schiff staining in the diagnosis of fungal keratitis (FK).Methods:A total of 147 corneal specimens from 147 FK patients treated in Eye Hospital of Shandong First Medical University from January 2017 to May 2019 with positive corneal scraping or fungal culture were collected.Among them, there were 84 cases with penetrating keratoplasty (PKP), 42 cases with lamellar keratoplasty (LKP) and 21 cases with lesion resection.Another 11 cases with herpes simplex virus keratitis served as negative control. The corneal tissue specimens were performed with fungal fluorescence staining and periodic acid-Schiff staining, respectively. The stained sections were placed under fluorescence microscope and optical microscope to observe fungal hyphae or spores, respectively. The positive rates of the two staining methods were compared, and the positive cases of the diagnosis of FK in corneal tissue samples obtained by different surgical methods and corneal infection caused by different strains of the two staining methods were compared.Written informed consent was obtained from each patient. The study protocol adhered to the Declaration of Helsinki and was approved by the Ethics Committee of Shandong Eye Hospital (No.SDSYKYY-2016012).Results:The positive rate of periodic acid-Schiff staining and fungal fluorescence staining was 60.5% (89/147) and 79.6% (117/147), respectively. The positive rate of fluorescence staining in the diagnosis of fungal keratitis was significantly higher than that of periodic acid-Schiff staining ( χ2=28.00, P<0.01), and both the specificity of the two staining methods was 100%.The positive rate of specimens obtained by PKP with fluorescent staining was 85.7% (72/84), and the positive rate with periodic acid-Schiff staining was 65.5% (55/84), and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2=17.00, P<0.01). The positive rate of specimens obtained by LKP with fluorescent staining was 71.4% (30/42), and the positive rate with periodic acid-Schiff staining was 52.4% (22/42), and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2=8.00, P<0.01). The positive rate of resected foci specimens with fluorescent staining was 71.4% (15/21), and the positive rate with periodic acid-Schiff staining was 57.1% (12/21), and the difference was not statistically significant ( χ2=1.30, P=0.25). The positive cases of two kinds of staining were different among different fungal strains.Among them, the positive cases of Fusarium solani complex, Pythium insidiosum, Aspergillus fumigatus complex, Candida guilliermondii, Trichoderma and Nigrograna mackinnonii with fluorescence staining were 19, 5, 5, 1, 1 and 1, and the positive cases of periodic acid-Schiff staining were 11, 0, 3, 0, 0 and 0, respectively. The staining results of the 11 negative controls were negative. Conclusions:Fluorescence staining is more sensitive than periodic acid-Schiff staining in the detection of fungal components in paraffin-embedded corneal tissues, and it can significantly improve the fungal detection rates.

0.05).Conclusions The patients with sepsis lasting more than 7 days had high mortality (50%). While percentage of CD14 and CD14MFI of peripheral blood are increased, the total scores of SOFA and numbers of MOF are decreased. The improvement of monocytes function indicates good prognosis. The changes of expression of ICAM-1,serum TNF-? and IL-10 can not reflect prognosis in septic patients.

BACKGROUND:Studies have shown that there are large differences in the thickness of the soft tissue overlying hard tissue, and the soft tissue does not uniformly overly the hard tissue, indicating simple hard tissue measurement wil not harvest ideal facial profile in clinical treatment of malocclusions. OBJECTIVE: To study the craniofacial soft and hard tissue characteristics in the adult Angle class II malocclusion, and then to analyze the relationship between Angle class II1 and class II2 malocclusions. METHODS: Sixty patients with adult Angle II malocclusion who were accepted by the Department of Orthodontics of Stomatological Hospital Affiliated to Jiamusi University from 2011 to 2014, on gender parity, aged 18-38 years (mean age of 26.3 years), including 30 cases of Angle class II1 and 30 cases of Angle class II2. Differences between the adult Angle class II1 and class II2 malocclusion patients were compared by cephalometric analysis based on X-ray measurement. Statistical correlation analysis was performed.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) Comparisons of hard tissue measurement of adult Angle class II1 and Angle class II2 malocclusions showed that: SNB, SND, ANB, FH-NP, U1-SN (P < 0.001), LI-NB (P< 0.01), L1-MP (P < 0.01), U1-L1 (P < 0.001) exhibited statisticaly significant differences between two groups (P < 0.05). (2) Comparisons of soft tissue measurement of adult Angle class II1 and Angle class II2 malocclusions showed that: there were significant differences in the ULA'-FH, LLNs-FH, ULNs-FH, CmSnUL, E-LL (P < 0.05). (3) There was a correlation between the soft and hard tissue of adult Angle class II1 and Angle class II2 malocclusions in al measurement indexes, but the correlativity exists differently. These findings indicate that for Angle class II1malocclusion, the maxilary and anterior teeth protrusions have a certain influence on the position of the lower lip; for Angle class II2 malocclusion, only maxilary protrusion can impact the position of the soft tissue of the lower lip. Chin soft tissue has no major changes in Angle class II2 malocclusion, but it varies greatly in Angle class II1 malocclusion. Clinical treatment of adult Angle class II malocclusions is developed based on the craniofacial soft and hard tissue characteristics in orthodontic and orthognathic surgeries.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the clinical effects of single posterior debridement, bone grafting, internal fixation and local chemotherapy in treating thoracolumbar spinal tuberculosis.
METHODSFrom February 2009 to September 2012,11 patients with thoracolumbar spinal tuberculosis were treated by single posterior debridement, bone grafting, internal fixation and local chemotherapy. There were 7 males and 4 females, aged from 27 to 65 years old with an average of 53.7 years. The courses of disease was from 3 months to 2 years with the mean of 9 months. According to ASIA standard of spinal cord injury, 3 cases were grade C and 8 cases D. After treatment, clinical effects were evaluated by ASIA grade, visual analogue score (VAS) and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI); kyphosis Cobb angle change was observed by X-rays.
RESULTSEleven patients were followed up from 12 to 29 months with an average of 18 months. ASIA grade of spinal cord injury, 3 patients with grade C improved to grade D in 2 cases and grade E in 1 case 8 patients with grade D improved to grade E in 7 cases and unchanged in 1 case. VAS decreased from preoperative 6.10 ± 1.30 to 1.70 ± 0.80 at 3 d after operation (P < 0.05). ODI improved from preoperative (68.36 ± 10.41)% to (14.55 ± 8.99)% (P < 0.05) at 3 d after operation. Kyphotic Cobb angle was corrected from preoperative (22.64 ± 4.84)° to (4.27 ± 1.49)° (P < 0.05) on the 3rd day after operation, and angle loss was mild at final follow-up, there was no significant difference between postoperative at 3 d and final follow-up.
CONCLUSIONSingle posterior debridement, bone grafting, internal fixation and local chemotherapy for the treatment of thoracolumbar spinal tuberculosis can effectively remove the lesion, improve nerve function and correct deformity, has advantage of single incision, little trauma, and low recurrence rate. But it still need long-term and systemic treatment with anti-TB drugs.

To obtained an accurate, rapid and efficient method for authenticate medicinal snakes listed in Chinese Pharmacopoeia (Zaocysd humnades, Bungarus multicinctus, Agkistrodon acutus), a rapid PCR method for authenticate snakes and its adulterants was established based on the classic molecular authentication methods. DNA was extracted by alkaline lysis and the specific primers were amplified by two-steps PCR amplification method. The denatured and annealing temperature and cycle numbers were optimized. When 100 x SYBR Green I was added in the PCR product, strong green fluorescence was visualized under 365 nm UV whereas adulterants without. The whole process can complete in 30-45 minutes. The established method provides the technical support for authentication of the snakes on field.

Objective:To determine the prevalence of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection in orthotopic liver transplantation (LT) recipients, and to study the efficacy and safety of Hp eradication therapy.Methods:13C-urea breath test was carried out between July 2018 and October 2019. There were 104 males and 26 females with an average age of 52.1 year for these LT recipients who were regularly followed-up in the Organ Transplant Center, the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University. Propensity scoring was used to match age and gender in a ratio of 1∶3. A healthy group of individuals consisting of 299 males and 91 females, with an average age of 51.8 years, were selected as the control group also in a ratio of 1∶3. All patients underwent 13C-urea breath test to evaluate Hp infection and results of quadruple therapy. Results:The prevalence of Hp infection among the LT recipients was 18.5%(24/130) which was significantly lower than the control group 36.4% (142/390) (χ 2=14.400, P<0.001). Among the recipients who received LT and 13C-urea breath test for less than 1 year, 1-3 years and more than 3 years, the prevalences of Hp infection were 14.3% (6/42), 17.8%(8/45) and 23.3%(10/43), respectively. Although the prevalence of Hp showed a gradually increasing trend, no correlation between Hp infection and duration from LT was observed (χ 2=1.321, P=0.517). Seventeen Hp positive recipients underwent Hp eradication therapy. The success rate of Hp eradication was 100.0%(17/17). Immunosuppressant concentration was monitored regularly in 10 patients. During Hp eradication, the blood concentration of immunosuppressant increased from 1.7 to 3.6 times, and the drug dosage was reduced to one half to one third of what it was before Hp eradication. Seven of these 17 recipients suffered from adverse effects caused by increased levels of blood concentration of immunosuppressants, including headache, hypertension, insomnia and irritability. Normal liver and kidney functions were observed during eradication. Conclusion:In this study, the prevalence of Hp infection among liver transplant recipients was 18.5%. The success rate of Hp eradication was 100% using bismuth-containing quadruple therapy. The dosage of immunosuppressant required to be monitored, and if necessary, adjusted during eradication to reduce adverse side effects.
