2.The factors affecting mandibular third molar angulation during orthodontic treatment
Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(05):-
Objective:To analyze the factors which affect mandibular third molar angulation changes during treatment of adult orthodontic patients.Methods:80 post-treatment adult patients including 154 mandibular third molars(M3) were selected. The gender, age, clinical classification and treatment methods of the patients were recorded. The pretreatment and post-treatment panoramic radiographs were analyzed. The angulation and the eruption space of mandibular M3 were measured. The root development stages of the mandibular M3 before treatment were evaluated. The factors affecting mandiular M3 angulation changes were analysed by covariance analysis. Results:The results of multi-factors analysis illustrated that the sagittal skeletal classifications, the root development stages of the pre-treatment mandibular M3,the pre-treatment mandibular M3 angulations, the width/space ratios before and after treatment affected the mandibular M3 angulation changes during the orthodontic treatment.Mandibular M3 showed more improvement in angulation in groups of Class I sagittal skeletal classification, the root development stages of the pre-treatment mandibular M3 where the root was fully formed but the foramen apices wasn't closed or the stages where the root less 1/3 was formed, the pre-treatment mandibular M3 angulations 60?,and the more M3 space before and after treatment, the more improvement in M3 angulation. Conclusion:In adult orthodontic patients, the mandibular M3 angulation changes during the treatment can be influenced by many factors, but orthodontic treatment is not the direct factor.
3.Comparison of treatment outcomes in patients with maxillary dentoalveolar protrusion by applying different anchorage methods: a three-dimensional model study.
West China Journal of Stomatology 2015;33(1):63-66
OBJECTIVEThis study aims to compare the treatment outcomes in patients with maxillary dentoalveolar protrusion by applying different anchorage methods via three-dimensional model measurement.
METHODSA total of 46 patients with maxillary dentoalveolar protrusion treated with bilateral maxillary first premolar extractions and high anchorage were selected. The subjects were randomly divided into three groups according to the type of anchorage applied, which included implant, extraoral, and Nance arch anchorages. The maxillary dental models were made before treatment and after space closure of maxilla. The movements of the maxillary central incisors and first molars were measured via a three-dimensional model measurement, and the amounts of movement were compared among the three groups.
RESULTSThe sagittal lingual movements of the maxillary central incisors were (-6.661 ± 1.328), (-5.939 ± 1.806), and (-5.788 ± 2.009) mm for the implant, extraoral, and Nance arch anchorage groups, respectively, with no significant difference among the three groups (P = 0.121). The corresponding vertical movements of the maxillary central incisors were (0.129 ± 1.815) mm intrusion, and (-2.162 ± 2.026), (-2.623 ± 1.776) mm extrusion. Significant difference was found between the implant anchorage group and the other groups (P < 0.05). The corresponding sagittal mesial movements of the maxillary first molars were (0.608 ± 1.045), (1.445 ± 1.462), and (1.503 ± 0.945) mm. The corresponding vertical movements of the maxillary first molars were (0.720 ± 0.805) mm intrusion, (0.076 ± 0.986) mm intrusion, and (-0.072 ± 0.690) mm extrusion. Significant difference was found between the implant anchorage group and the other two groups (P < 0.05). In the transverse direction, the first molars all moved lingually with no significant difference among the three groups (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONImplant anchorage may be superior in the vertical control of the maxillary incisors and in the sagittal, as well as in the vertical control of the maxillary molars, compared with the traditional anchorages during the treatment of patients with maxillary dentoalveolar protrusion.

5.The study of cerebral ischemia caused by myocardial infarcion in rat
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(04):-
Developing changes of physiology and biochemistry in myocardium and brain tissue after myocardial infarction in rats was observed. The result showed that BP、 ?dp/dtmax and BBF were dccreased significantly at 6 hours after ischemia. The BBF was returned to normal after 72 hours but BP and ?dp/dtmax wcrc kept lower for 7 days. The MDA was clearly higher at 72 hours and returned to normal at 7th days in myocardium and brain tissue. BUt the NAGase reached to the peak at 7th days and was returncd to normal at 14th days. The changes of MDA and NAGase were correlated to the changes of heart fuetion after myocardial infarction. It suggested that cardiogcnic cerebral ischemia is a real fact.
