9.Preliminary study on lymphatic drainage in liver tumors

The study was conducted on 13 patients who were undergoing operation for liver cancer at Hautepierre Hospital, Strasbourg, France between February to July 2001, involving 9 males and 4 females with ages ranged from 56 to 80. The results showed that liver stem nodes can be detected by injecting Bleu Patent deeply into liver tissue surrounding malignant tumors in sublobes 5 and 3 and anterior sublobe 4. Especially, for cases where it is difficult in identifying the liver stem nodes, help removing appropriately the lymphatic nodes of liver stem, visceral trunk and pancreatic head, especially for cases of liver resection due to colorectal metastasis
