4.The clinical study on the relationship between silent cerebral ischemia and cognitive impairment in inpa-tiens older than sixty with nonvalvula atrial fibrillation
Chinese Journal of Nervous and Mental Diseases 2016;42(8):473-478
Objectives The aim of this study was to study the relationship between silent cerebral ischemia (SCI) and mild cognitive impairment(MCI)in inpatients with nonvalvula atrial fibrillation (NAF) and those with sinus rhythm (SR) older than sixty. Methods Ninety-eight inpatients were enrolled from November 2014 to November 2015 in Hui?zhou Municipal Central Hospital: 45 patients with NAF and 53 with SR. All general clinical data was collected. The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and brain MRI were used to assess the cognitive performance of patients within 1 weeks of admission. Results The MoCA scores were lower in patients with NAF than in those with SR[16(10,20) vs. 20 (15,23),P=0.006]. At least one foci of SCI was present in patients 80%with NAF and 52.8%with SR (NAF vs. SR, P=0.018).The rates of SCIs in the cortex/subcortex were higher in the NAF group than in the SR group (25.2%vs. 12.4%, P=0.017). Multivariate analysis showed that MoCA score were related to the degree of education in NAF patients and were related to age and education level in SR patients. Conclusions NAF is an independent risk factor for cognitive impair?ment in NAF patient and associated with the SCI present. Educational level is a factor affecting the cognitive function with elderly patients.
5.MiRNA and breast cancer metastasis
International Journal of Surgery 2010;37(1):46-48
Most deaths of breast cancer patients may be caused by the development of metastases. The latest research suggest that some miRNAs regulated gene expressions related with breast cancer metastasis at post-transcriptional level, which was closely related to invasion and metastasis of breast cancer. This review mainly dicussed the miRNA involved in regulation of invasion and metastasis of breast cancer and their mo-lecular mechanisms.
6.Protective effects of erythropoietin against brain injury following stroke
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2009;17(4):312-315
Erythropoietin (EPO) is a hematopoietic growth factor that has a specific role on erythroid progenitor cells. Recent studies have suggested that EPO has the important neuroprotective effect on brain damage following stroke, and its major mechanisms include neurotrophy, anti-neuronal apoptosis, inhibition of secondary inflammatory response and excitatory amino acid toxicity, maintenance of vascular integrity and promoting angiogenesis, promoting neurogenesis, as well as anti-oxidative stress.
7.The relationship between diameter and prognosis in atrial septal defect
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2014;(24):3695-3697
Objective To analyze the relationship between diameter and prognosis in atrial septal defect ( ASD) children. Methods The clinical data in 91 cases with ASD were observed.According to ASD diameter, they were divided into three groups,0.5-0.7cm in group A,>0.7-1.0cm in group B,>1.0cm in group C.According to the age of children with size,≤1 years old children with group D,group E,>1 years old children.Statistical ASD diameter and age of the patients and the relationship between natural healing. Results A group of ASD diameter in 0.5-0.7cm 13 cases, the number of natural healing rate in 9 cases(69.23%) .Group B of ASD diameter of 0.8 to 1.0 cm in 33 cases, the number of natural healing rate in 9 cases (27.27%).44 cases in group C ASD>1.0cm in diameter,in which 1 cases (natural healing rate 2.27%).Group A was higher than that in group B and C (χ2 =6.89,27.22,all P<0.05).B group than in C group (χ2 =8.57,P<0.05).Group D patients older than 1 years were 29 cases,in which the natural healing rate in 27 cases (93.10%) ,higher than that of E group of 1 year old chil-dren's natural healing rate was 17 cases (27.42%),two groups had significant difference (χ2 =34.14,P<0.05). Conclusion ASD diameter≤0.7cm and age<1 ASD natural healing probability.ASD>1.0cm in diameter and 1 years of age or ASD natural healing a very small chance.
8.Using mimicry epitopes from phage displayed peptide library as substitute antigen for cyclophilin A in ELISA for detection of anti-CyPA autoantibody
Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2003;0(08):-
Objective To use mimicry epitopes from phage displayed peptide library as substitute for recombinant human cyclophilin A (rhCyPA) in detection of CyPA autoantibody in sera of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).Methods Monoclonal antibody D4 and E6 were used as the capture antibody; the Ph.D.-12 p hage display peptide library was screened by biopanning. Ten phage clones with h igh affinity for McAb D4 and E6 (five for each) were chosen. Their inserts were sequenced. The amino sequence of mimicry epitope was subsequently reasoned out. Selected 12 peptide and previously obtained 7 peptide mimicry epitopes were used as coated antigen and compared with rhCyPA in ELISA for anti-CyPA autoantibody .Results Nine of ten phage clones with high affinity for McAb D4 and E6 (five for D4, four for E6) shared a consensus amino sequence HW EYTTSPHPRL. In comparative study of ELISA, 56 serum samples from SLE patients we re tested for anti-CyPA autoantibody, 28 samples were positive (50%) with 12 pe ptide mimicry antigen and 24 were positive (43%) with rhCyPA, 4 of 34 (11%) samp les from those with other autoimmune disorders were positive with both antigens, the coincidence rate between two methods was 95 6%. The research also showed t hat 12 peptide mimicry antigen has the advantages of rhCyPA and 7 peptide mimicr y antigen in detecting anti-CyPA autoantibody. Conclusions The specific 12 peptide screened from phage-displayed peptide library by ant i-CyPA monoclonal antibody can mimic epitope information of cyclophilin A well and be used as substitute for rhCyPA in ELISA.
