[Summary] The isolated dissection of the superior mesenteric artery ( IDSMA) was once considered to be a rare disease .In recent years , a growing number of cases of IDSMA have been reported , especially by Chinese authors , because of the increasing use of contrast-enhanced computed tomography scans .To understand the real domestic status of IDSMA , the Chinese-language literatures were searched, and the clinical characteristics and treatment of IDSMA were analyzed .

There is rapid growth of pediatric surgery service in China in the recent years. A survey by the China Association �A gainst �Epi�lepsy underta�ken in �June ����� 2006���� on the ma�jor cities in different parts of the country showed a dramatic increase particularly in years 2004 and 2006. Surgery for temporal lobe epilepsy accounts for half of the operation. Surgery has an important role in the treatment of drug resistant pediatric epilepsy. With large population and vast geographical spread, it is important to further develop pediatric epilepsy surgery service in China

The earliest activities related to epilepsy surgery in China ma�� � y be tra�ce��d to the 19���50s an�� �� d 60s��. Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT) is one of the frequent cardiovascular diseases.In recent years, cryoablation has become a research hot spot for PSVT treatment.Theoretically, its operability and safety are both better than those of radiofrequency ablation.Cryoablation can significantly reduce risk of ablation complications, but how to reduce recurrent rate after cryoablation is still a problem in the future.The present article made a review on main therapeutic methods of PSVT, especially application of cryoablation.

OBJECTIVE:To establish the method to determine the concentration of human plasma felodipine by HPLC-MS.METHODS:The HPLC separating system was adopted and the mobile phase was a mixture of methanol-water-acetic acid with a flow rate at1ml/min and split ratio at2∶1,the fixed phase was Hypersil C 18 column;The mass spectrometric de-tection system and AP-ESI positive ion model were adopted with the atmosperic pressure at0.054Pa(400psi),the protecting gas at N 2 10L/min,capillary voltage at4000V,the ion source temperature at100℃and the fragment voltage at220V,the ions collected by SIM were felodipine m/z411(M+Na),Nimodipine m/z441(M+Na).RESULTS:The linear concentration range for felodipine was0.2～50ng/ml with a minimum detection limit at0.15ng/ml,the recovery was above90.93%with both the intra-day RSD and the inter-day RSD at less than9.8%(RSD

Objective To study the characteristics of breast disease and the effect of differentating diagnosis of breast disease under fiberoptic ductoscopy(FDS). Methods 50 cases of breast disease were examined by FDS. Results There were hyperplasia of mammary glands in 31 cases; chronic mastitis in 5 cases; ductal ectasia in 7 cases and breast cancer in 7 cases by FDS in this series. The accord rate of pathological diagnosis with FDS was 98%,and with clinical diagnosis was 76%.Conclusions FDS is a very important and new method in the diagnosis of breast disease .FDS can detect early breast cancer. It can be used as intervening treatment for some intraductal papilloma and chronic inflammatory disesase.FDS has precis location and qualitation effect for diagnosis of breast disease. FDS will greatly influence the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.

Objective To observe the expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) in the cerebral tissue following hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE) in newborn rats and explore the machanism of inosine in protecting against hypoxic-ischemic brain damage(HIBD).Methods Sixty-six newborn rats aged 7 days were divided into sham,control and experimental groups.HIE models were made by clamping the right cervical artery and making hypoxia for 2 hours.The rats in experimental group began injecting inosine,at 1 day before experiment,and the rats in the sham and control groups saline solution with same dose.The samples were made at the given time,and expressions of VEGF and COX-2 were investigated by immunohistochemical technique.Results The cerebral tissue had no expression of VEGF and COX-2 in sham group.From 2 hours on cortex and striatum after HIE in control and experimental groups,expressions of VEGF and COX-2 increased rapidly,peaking at 12-24 hours,and then decreased gradually.Expressions of VEGF and COX-2 were higher in experimental group(All P

Objective To evaluate the role of myocardial contrast echocardiography (MCE) to select target vessel, to monitor the opacification zone and to avoid complications during transcoronary ablation of septal hypertrophy(TASH) for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy(HOCM). Methods In 37 HOCM patients cardiac apex four chamber view, parasternal left ventricular long axis view and left ventricular short axis view were recorded after injection of the myocardial agents and absolute ethanol 5 minutes later respectively. And the opacification zones of the myocardial agents and absolute ethanol were observed. Results Among 37 patients,2 patients gave up treatment because of no appropriate vessel to provide ablation by coronary Doppler flow imaging.Two of 37 patients gave up treatments and did not undergo myocardial contrast echocardiography because of diffused coronary arteries in coronary angiography. Among 33 patients who underwent MCE, 5 patients gave up TASH including one of the opacification of left ventricular mammary muscles, one of the opacification of right ventricular and right ventricular mammary muscles, one for the opacification zone out of the target area and two for the large opacification zone. Other 28 patients underwent TASH successfully. Just after operations and 7 days, left ventricular outflow tract pressure gradient decreased at no less than 50%. Distribution zone of absolute ethanol was smaller than that of myocardial opacification zone in some patients. Conclusions MCE is a credible reference for selection of target vessels in TASH for HOCM.
