1.The clinical exploration of eosinophilic bronchitis
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2008;31(13):24-26
Objective To explore the features of airway inflammation in patients with eosinophilic bronchitis(EB). Methods Sputum induced eosinophilic count was performed in 7 patients with EB(EB group), 12 patients with asthma(asthma group), 16 patients with cough variant asthma(CVA group), and 6 patients with atrophic rhinitis(AR group). The number of eosinophil and mastocyte was detected by bronchial biopsy in patients of EB and CVA group. Results The percentage of eosinophil counts of induced sputum in asthma group, CVA group, EB group and AR group was ( 18.7±5.3)%, ( 10.2± 4.5)% ,(8.7±2.3)% and (2.7±3.2 )% respectively. There were significant differences between EB group and the other three groups. The number of eosinophil in airway smooth muscle was significantly lower in EB group [ ( 1.3±0.1 )/mm2 ]than that in CVA group[ (5.2±1.2)/mm2]. And the mastocyte number in EB group[ (3.5±1.4)/mm2] was significantly lower than that in CVA group [ ( 12.5±2.4)/mm2]. Conclusions Perhaps EB is associated with many diseases. Aggressive treatment maybe prevent asthma. Eosinophil and mastocyte number is significantly low in patients with EB compared those with CVA, which maybe play an important role in absent airway hyper-responsiveness in EB.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(17):-
Objective To evaluate the feasibility of cell free fetal DNA(cffDNA)-based noninvasive prenatal diagnosis,we developed a precise technique for fetal sex determining region of Y chromosome(SRY)gene detection using size-fractionated cell-free DNA in maternal plasma. Methods Peripheral blood samples were collected form 117 pregnant women.cffDNA was extracted based on a column absorbent method and isolated by agarose gel electrophoresis.A dulex-polymerase chain reaction(PCR)was used to detected SRY gene and glycerol-dehyde-phosphate dehydrogenase(GAPDH)gene. Results Both SRY and GAPDH gene were detected in 86 cffDNA samples from women bearing male fetuses. And only GAPDH gene was detected in 71 cffDNA samples from women bearing female fetuses. These results had a coincidence whit those of villus or amniotic fluid samples. The specificity and sensitivity reached 100%(117/117)and 100%(66/66),respectively.Conclusion By agarose gel electrophoresis,re-extratedand and dulex PCR,size-fractionated cell-free fetal DNA in maternal plasma can be selective enriched and used to noninvasive prenatal diagnosis of sex-linked disorders and single gene disorders.

Journal of Clinical Surgery 2002;0(S1):-
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic value of total thyroidectomy in the thyroid carcinoma. Methods 87 patients of thyroid carcinoma were operated by one surgeon with total thyroidectomy from 1985-2000 in our hospital, We carried out a retrospective research for the complication rates and postoperative iodine 131 treatment. Results Observing after operation revealed that there were 2(2.3%) of recurrent laryngeal nerve damage, 1(1.1%) of thypocalecimia, 1(1.1%) of atelectasis, and no deaths, permanent laryngeal nerve damage, or permanent hypocalcemia. Conclusion Total thyroidectomy is safe and effective procedure in the treatment of thyroid carcinoma, this approach can offer the advantage of removal of tissue at risk for malignant transformation, and enhances the use of the postoperative iodine 131 treatment.

Background and purpose: The Testin gene is a candidate tumor suppressor gene located at 7q31.2. Our purpose was to investigate the expression of Testin gene, and its possible relationship with the clinicopathological features of human colorectal carcinoma. Methods: Semi-quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and immunohistochemistry methods were used to investigate the expression of Testin in 60 specimens of colorectal carcinomas and corresponding adjacent normal mucosal tissues. The correlations of Testin to clinicopathologic features of colorectal carcinoma were analyzed. Results: The mRNA level of Testin was down-regulated in colorectal carcinomas. The positive rate of Testin protein was significantly lower than the paracancerous mucosal normal tissues (P<0.01). The expression of Testin protein and mRNA was correlated with infiltration, differentiation, Dukes stage, T stage, lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis (P<0.05), but not with patients' gender, age, site of cancer (P>0.05). The expression of Testin protein was lower in the tissues which were deeper infiltrated, poorer differentiated, advanced in Dukes stage and T stage, or with lymph node or remote metastasis. The expression of Testin mRNA was positively associated with that of Testin protein(r=0.75,P<0.05). Conclusion: The expression level of Testin is significantly down-regulated in colorectal carcinomas, which may be associated with the degree of infiltration, differentiation and metastasis of colorectal carcinoma. It suggests that Testin may be a valuable marker for assessing the prognosis and metastasis of colorectal carcinoma.

International Eye Science 2016;16(6):1199-1202
? AIM: To analyze clinical characteristics and postoperative outcomes after open globe injury.?METHODS: Demographic characteristics ( age, gender, eye trauma, profession, cause of injury and injured part ) , as well as complications and prognosis were analyzed in 152 cases (152 eyes) of open globe injury.? RESULTS: Patients with open globe injury had an average age of 40. 45±38. 32 years old with a 5. 9:1 male-to-female gender ratio. The left-to-right eye ratio was 1. 27:1. Most patients were workers, farmers, or retired. The most common etiologies were scratches, boxing, and falls. Zone Ⅲ was the most commonly injured part. Iridoptosis or iris incarceration, retinal detachment, vitreal prolapse, hyphema or hypopyon, and vitreous hemorrhage were the most common complications. Visual acuity improved in 86 cases postoperatively but ophthalmectomy was still required in 25 eyes.?CONCLUSION: Vision can be improved after surgery in open globe injury. However, patients are usually seriously injured and improvement is minimal, thereby resulting in a great loss to patients and society.
