1.Development of Database for Clinical Transplantation Research.

The database that is characterized by real-time accessibility and concurrent sharing by multiple users is indispensable to large population-based clinical research. Because initial design determines the effectiveness of database, delicate and complete development is required. Understanding of research and communication between user and programmer is the first step of database development. According to the purpose of research item, the entity and attribute are determined in detail that can minimize data redundancy and maintain data consistency. The programmer should analyses the demand of final user before logical design. Also the user should provide unit information and old data to programmer. After interaction between programmer and user, the database system flow is designed by real organizational unit flow diagram. The user's view is classified by subtitle and grouped by similar data. The flow of view is concordant with real flow diagram. The active participation of final user in early phase is essential for successful development of database.

3.Evaluation of Coordination of Emergency Response Team through the Social Network Analysis. Case Study: Oil and Gas Refinery.

BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to examine the cohesions status of the coordination within response teams in the emergency response team (ERT) in a refinery. METHODS: For this study, cohesion indicators of social network analysis (SNA; density, degree centrality, reciprocity, and transitivity) were utilized to examine the coordination of the response teams as a whole network. The ERT of this research, which was a case study, included seven teams consisting of 152 members. The required data were collected through structured interviews and were analyzed using the UCINET 6.0 Social Network Analysis Program. RESULTS: The results reported a relatively low number of triple connections, poor coordination with key members, and a high level of mutual relations in the network with low density, all implying that there were low cohesions of coordination in the ERT. CONCLUSION: The results showed that SNA provided a quantitative and logical approach for the examination of the coordination status among response teams and it also provided a main opportunity for managers and planners to have a clear understanding of the presented status. The research concluded that fundamental efforts were needed to improve the presented situations.

4.FPGA-Based Interface of Digital DAQ System for Double-Scattering Compton Camera

PURPOSE: The double-scattering Compton camera (DSCC) is a radiation imaging system that can provide both unknown source energy spectra and 3D spatial source distributions. The energies and detection locations measured in coincidence with three CdZnTe (CZT) detectors contribute to reconstructing emission energies and a spatial image based on conical surface integrals. In this study, we developed a digital data acquisition (DAQ) board to support our research into coincidence detection in the DSCC.METHODS: The main components of the digital DAQ board were 12 ADCs and one field programmable gate array (FPGA). The ADCs digitized the analog 96-channel CZTsignals at a sampling rate of 50MHz and transferred the serialized ADC samples and the bit and frame clocks to the FPGA. In order to correctly capture the ADC sample bits in the FPGA, we conducted individual sync calibrations for all the ADC channels to align the bit and frame clocks to the right positions of the ADC sample bits. The FPGA logic design was composed of IDELAYand IDDR components, six shift registers, and bit slip buffer resources.RESULTS: Using a Deskew test pattern, the delay value of the IDELAY component was determined to align the bit clock to the center of each sample bit.We determined the bit slip in the 12-bit ADC sample using an MSB test pattern by checking where the MSB value of one is located in the captured parallel data.CONCLUSION: After sync calibration, we tested the interface between the ADCs and the FPGA with a synthetic analog Gaussian signal. The 96 ADC channels yielded a mean R2 goodness-of-fit value of 0.95 between the Gaussian curve and the captured 12-bit parallel data.

9.Developing a Questionnaire to Evaluate the Healthy Restaurant Program.

The purpose of this study was to develop a reliable questionnaire to assess the effectiveness of the healthy restaurant program, which was implemented by Seocho-gu District in Seoul. Evaluation indices were deduced from the logic model of the healthy restaurant program. The questionnaires consisted of three sections (process evaluation, outcome evaluation, and general characteristics) for restaurateurs and customers who were participating in the program or not. To validate the questionnaire, 133 restaurateurs and 246 customers were sampled using convenient methods. Data were collected by interviews. Reliability was tested by Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The alpha coefficient for restaurateurs was 0.75-0.99 for the process and 0.79-0.97 for the outcome evaluation questions. The alpha coefficients for customers were 0.76-0.92 for the outcome evaluation questions. Face and content validity were examined for all questions, and construct validity was tested for latent variables. We are confident that more accurate and significant information will be collected using this questionnaire.

10.Logic for the use of stable structural superimposition method and introduction of its application.

BjOrk and Skieller conluded after following facial growth patterns using implants in upper and lower jaw bones that stable structures, which are not influenced by the growth do exist and so these must be the reference landmarks in the process of superimposition. In spite of such facts, for the last 40 years since the discivery of stable structures, most orthodontists have preferred best fit superimposition method to structural method. Cases such as Angle's Class II division 2 malocclusion that show characteristic forward and upward growth or one under long period of poet-trdatment observation demonstrate that distindt differences exist between the two methods of superimposition. Today, ethical concerns prohidit further growth studies that use implants, and so there is no choice but to use stable structural superimposition method based on BjO;rks data. Thus, to encourage clincal use of stable structural superimposition method, logic for the use of stable structural superimposition method will be demonstrated, and its technical methods of application will be introduced step by step.
