1.Ethical Considerations about the Cases of Commercial Genetic Testing in Obstetric Practice
Chinese Medical Ethics 2015;(1):26-29
Two cases, prenatal genetic testing for deafness and newborn genetic testing for diseases and talent, were firstly introduced. And then, the author analyzed the ethical issues in these cases, such as question about ge-netic testing technologies, freedom of genetic testing in clinical obstetrics, role of obstetricians in genetic testing, problems about informed consent, and harms to doctor-patient relationship, and so forth. Finally, it put forward some suggestions on commercial genetic testing in obstetric practice.
2.The expression of vascular endotbelial growth factor and matrix metalloproteinase-9 in pancreatic carcinoma and its clinical significance
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2011;18(12):1629-1630
Objective To investigate the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) or matrix metalloproteinase-9( MMP-9) in pancreatic carcinoma( PCA) and its clinical significance. Methods The expression of VECF and MMP-9 in 50 PCA tissues and in 20 normal pancreatic tissues were examined by immunohistochemistry. Results The expression of VECF and MMP-9 was higher in PCA than that in its surrounding parenchyma and normal pancreatic parenchyma( x2 = 2.82,2.96, all P < 0.05 ) ; The expression of VEGF and MMP-9 were related to the tumor differentiation, the clinical stage and the lymphnode metastasis. Conclusion VECF and MMP-9 should play important role in the invasion and metastasis of PCA, and had a certain significance for predicting recurrence and metastasis of pancreatic cancer.
3.Research progress of paclitaxel drug formulations
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2016;23(2):303-305
Paclitaxel is an antimicrotubule agent indicated as first-line therapy for the treatment of advanced carcinoma of the ovary and breast cancer.Oral administration of paclitaxel is preferred as it is convenient to use in hospital and reduces costs. However, due to the low oral bioavailability of paclitaxel, most commercially available for-mulations are injections. This review presents the progress of developed paclitaxel injection and oral formulations to enhance the bioavailability of paclitaxel.
4.sIgA of intestinalmucosal barrier in its relevant diseases
International Journal of Pediatrics 2017;44(3):170-173
Intestinal mucosal barrier can prevent harmful substance into other tissue, organ and blood across intestinal mucous, and sIgA in feces is an important part of intestinal mucosal barrier.sIgA plays a critical role as an immunological barrier and matters to maintain intestinal homeostasis.SIgA can enhance mucosal barrier[1],protect microbial pathogen from invading and relieve intestinal infammafion symptoms. This review summarizes the research of sIgA in some diseases,to understand its function in the diseases and provide evidence for diagnosis and treatment.
5.Development and verification of ion-pairing RP-HPLC method for determination of residual L-methionine sulphoximine in recombinant protein therapeutics
Chinese Journal of Biologicals 2025;38(04):450-456+461
Objective To develop an ion-pairing reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography(IP-RP-HPLC)method for the determination of L-methionine sulphoximine(MSX) residues in recombinant protein therapeutics, and to verify and preliminarily apply it, so as to provide a reference for the quality control of related products. Methods A chromatographic analysis method was screened and the mobile phase conditions such as ion-pairing reagent, pH and salt concentration were optimized to develop an IP-RP-HPLC method for the determination of MSX residues in recombinant protein therapeutics. The method was verified for specificity, system applicability, linearity, limit of detection(LOD) and limit of quantitation(LOQ), precision, accuracy and solution stability, by which the residual MSX contents in multiple batches of in-process sample and bulk of recombinant protein therapeutics were determined. Results The chromatographic conditions were determined as follows: using Hypersil GOLDTMC18 column(4. 6 mm × 250 mm, 5 μm) at column temperature of 25 ℃; 50 mmol/L sodium dihydrogen phosphate(containing 5 mmol/L sodium 1-octane sulfonate, pH 2. 0)-acetonitrile(volume fraction of 85 ∶ 15) as mobile phase for isocratic elution at a flow rate of 0. 6 mL/min; detection wavelength of 200 nm; injection volume of 50 μL. The method exhibited good specificity and system applicability. The control substance showed good linearity in the concentration range of 10-100 μg/mL, with a correlation coefficient(R) of 0. 999 95. The LOD and LOQ were 5 and 0. 5 μg/mL, respectively. MSX was not detected in either recombinant protein A or B, and the relative standard deviations(RSDs) of the measured concentrations of six parallel spiked samples were 1. 3% and 1. 1%, respectively, with the recovery rates ranged from 94% to 103%. For recombinant protein A spiked test sample placed at 10 ℃, the RSD of the measured concentrations at 0 h and 12 h were 2. 1%. MSX was not detected in the in-process samples and bulk of recombinant protein A test samples and three batches of recombinant protein B samples. Conclusion The developed IP-RP-HPLC method has the characteristics of simple operation and high sensitivity, and can be used for the quality control of MSX residues in recombinant protein therapeutics.
6.Research progress of matrix protein in bone metastasis of malignant tumor
Practical Oncology Journal 2017;31(3):285-288
The incidence of bone metastases in malignant tumors is high, and seriously affected the lifequality of patients. It is clear that the mechanism of the prevention and treatment of malignant tumors are of greatsignificance. It has been confirmed that tumor microenvironment plays an important role in the migration of prima-ry tumors, and the matrix protein is an important component of bone marrow microenvironment. In recent years, thelatest study has been found that matrix proteins can be involved in the process of bone metastasis by promotingtumor cell proliferation, invasion and metastasis. In this paper, the role of matrix proteins in the process of bonemetastasis of malignant tumors was reviewed.
7.Cardiovascular safety perceptions of sulfonylureas based on evidence
Chinese Journal of Diabetes 2017;25(6):573-576
The relationship between Sulfonylureas(SUs) and cardiovascular (CV) risks has attracted great attention.Previous studies have illustrated that some SUs increase CV risk in type 2 diabetes (T2DM) patients;while others do not.Clinical studies have found that the CV risks of different SUs may be different.Compared with other SUs;glimepiride and gliclazide may have lower CV risks. Here we reviewed evidence-based CV safety of SUs and the recent research progress.
