Journal of China Medical University 2001;30(1):36-37
Objective: Our purpose was to study the concentration of soluble tumor necrosis factor receptor-Ⅰ(sTNFR-Ⅰ) in the serum of patients with acute tuberculosis. Methods: The levels of soluble TNFR-Ⅰ in serum were measured in 11 patients with acute tuberculosis. Concentration of sTNFR-Ⅰ were measured by using enzyme-linked immunological binding assay. Results: In patients with acute tuberculosis, especially severe tuberculosis, serum levels of sTNFR-Ⅰ increased significantly (P<0.01), compared with those of control. After antituberculosis therapy, serum levels of sTNFR-Ⅰin patients with acute tuberculosis decreased by various degrees. Conclusion: Measurements of sTNFR-Ⅰ in serum of patients with acute tuberculosis could be an important index in the judgement of the outcome of the disease.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2013;20(19):2933-2934
Objective To study the effect of left ventricular function in the left anterior descending coronary artery stent implantation. Methods randomly 100 cases of left anterior descending coronary artery stenosis in patients with coronary heart disease branch were divided into the observation group and the control group (each group 50 cases),the control group used mainly drug treatment, the observation group used a implanted stent in the treatment of percutaneous left anterior descending coronary artery.the left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD),left ventricular end systolic diameter(LVESD,left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and serum N terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP) levels were observed between two groups. Results after treatment,6 months, two groups of LVEDD,LVESD and NT-proBNP compared with those before treatment were significantly lower(t =2.75,3.14,3.54,all P <0.05),while LVEF increased significantly (t =12.45,P < 0.05);and compared with the control group,LVEDD,LVESD of the observation group decreased significantly,LVEF increased significantly(t =2.27,3.75,2.21,all P < 0.05).Conclusion The left anterior descending coronary artery stent implantation in treatment can effectively improve left ventricular function in patients with coronary heart disease.
3.Monocyte chemotactic protein-1 and ischemic stroke
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2009;17(12):944-947
Inflammatory reaction plays an important role in the occurrence and development of ischemic stroke. Monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1) is one of the subfamily members of the CC chemokine class. It can attract and activate a variety of cells, such as monocytes and T lymphocytes, promote the expression of cytokines, and participate in the occurrence of ischemic brain injury. This article reviews the progresses on the MCP-1 and ischemic stroke-related research.
4.Alternation of blood pressure and behavioral performance in rat offspring following maternal inflammation during pregnancy
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(10):-
Objective To explore the effect of prenatal inflammation on rat offspring's blood pressure and behavioral performance. Methods Twenty-four time-mated Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were randomly divided into three groups,i.e.control,zymosan and LPS.On their gestation days 8,10,12,the pregnant rats received i.p.injections of sterile saline,0.79 mg/kg zymosan or 0.79 mg/kg LPS respectively. When the offspring were sixty weeks old, eight pups were chosen randomly for the later study.Their serum TNF-? level was detected by ELISA using tail blood, arterial blood pressure was measured by tail-cuff method, and their behavioral performance was detected in Morris water maze test.At the end of the experiment, the brains were rapidly taken from the sacrificed offspring, cut into sections and stained with H&E method to investigate the structural changes of hippocampus. Results Compared with control group, all offspring from the inflammation groups showed increased serum level of TNF-?,increased systemic arterial blood pressure, long latency in finding the safe platform and decreased number of neurons in CA1 region of hippocampus. Conclusion Prenatal exposure to LPS or zymosan results in hypertension and disturbance of learning and memory.

L-theanine (γ-glutamylethylamide) is the main free amino acid component of tea and its favorable physiological effects on mammals have been reported. An enzymatic method for optically pure L-theanine production with a new L-aminoacylases-production fungi Cunnighamella echinulata 9980 was developed. The optimum conditions for enzymatic catalysis were at pH 6.5 with 50 mmol/L N-Acyl-DLtheanine and 40 mmol/L CoCl2. After 12-h incubation at 50℃,22.5 mmol/L L-theanine was obtained, the conversion rate against N-Acyl-L-theanine being 90%. Cunnighamella echinulata and the aminoacylase were applied in preparation of L-theanine.

Objective To study the TCM syndrome distribution and characteristics of pregnant patients with cold in Panzhihua region; To provide evidence for prevention and treatment of this disease. Methods Totally 107 pregnant patients with cold were analyzed to obtain TCM syndrome data and summarize the distribution and characteristics of this disease. Results The syndromes of 107 cases of pregnancy cold, from high to low were sore throat (64.49%), thirst (62.62%), nasal congestion (61.68%), cough (59.81%), runny nose (55.15%), and defense phase symptoms such as sore throat, thirst and nasal congestion were obvious. The main TCM syndrome was wind-heat syndrome, accounting for 82.24%. The incidence rates of early pregnancy (<12weeks), midtrimester pregnancy (13-27 weeks), and late pregnancy (>28 weeks) were 32.71% (35/107), 44.86% (48/107), and 22.43% (24/107), respectively. The incidence rates of early pregnancy and midtrimester pregnancy were higher than that of late pregnancy (P<0.05). The incidence rates were 53.27% (57/107) in spring and summer and 46.73% (50/107) in autumn and winter, with statistical significance (P<0.01). The incidence of wind-heat syndrome in spring and summer was 62.5% (55/88),Conclusion The most common syndrome in pregnancy cold was wind-heat syndromes. The most common characteristics were warm, hot and dry. Early or middle pregnant patients were more likely to catch cold in spring and summer. The syndrome distribution and characteristics were relevant to local environment and climate factors.

Photosensitive skin diseases belong to physical skin diseases, which are caused by sunlight. Its clinical features are exposed parts of skin erythema, blisters or pleomorphic lesions, skin burning and itching consciously, and vary in different seasons. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the pathogenesis of the disease lies in accountability phototoxic invasion, in vivo accumulation of heat, and natural tolerance to poor light. Traditional Chinese medicine therapy is often used in typing, syndrome differentiation, combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, Chinese medicine for external use and other means, and has achieved remarkable curative effects. However, there are still many problems about photosensitive skin diseases in the aspect of clinical and basic researches, and should be solved and improved.
