Objective To study the relationship between intradialytic hypertension (IDH) and inflammatory factors in patients with maintenance hemodialysis. Methods Forty maintenance hemodialysis patients were involved, including 20 patients with IDH (IDH group) and 20 patients without IDH(non-IDH group) during hemodialysis. All of them had no sign of acute infections or other progressive disease. The levels of C-reactive protein (CRP),interleukin (IL)-1 β,IL-6,tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) before hemodialysis and 1,2,4 h after hemodialysis. The correlation of hypertension to CRP,IL-1 β,IL-6,TNF-α was analyzed. Results The levels of CRP,IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-α were increased in IDH group with the progress of hemodialysis, but were stable innon-IDH group.Logistic regression analysis indicated that there were positive correlations between CRP (r =0.3652),IL-1β (r =0.3261 ),IL-6(r =03156),TNF- α (r =0.3324) and blood pressure during hemodialysis (P < 0.01 ).Conclusion The levels of CRP,IL-1β,TNF-α,IL-6 are positively related to the IDH in maintenance hemodialysis patients.

Objective To evaluated the impact of obesity on surgical site infection (SSI)following colorectal cancer surgery. Methods A total of 215 patients undergoing radical surgery for colorectal cancer in a hospital be-tween January 2008 and December 2013 were investigated retrospectively,100 patients were with body mass index (BMI)≥25 kg/m2 (obesity group)and 115 patients with BMI<25 kg/m2 (normal weight group),the intra-opera-tive and postoperative indicators and surgical complications were compared between two groups. Results In obesity group,72(72.00%)patients had intra-operative blood loss of >60 mL,58(58.00%)patients’duration of surgery was >220 min ,20 (20.00%)of whom developed postoperative SSI;in normal weight group,30(26.09%)patients had intra-operative blood loss of >60 mL,20(17.39%)patients’duration of surgery was >220 min,8(6.96%)of whom developed postoperative SSI.Intra-operative blood loss and incidence of SSI in obesity group were both signif-icantly higher than normal weight group, duration of surgery and postoperative length of hospital stay were both longer than normal weight group(both P <0.05).Conclusion Incidence of SSI in colorectal cancer patients is high. Obesity, long duration of surgery, and more bleeding are high risk factors for SSI in colorectal cancer patients.

Objective To investigate the clear effect of different blood purification techniques on the serum beta2-microglobulin ( β2-MG) of chronic renal failure maintenance hemodialysis patients. Methods Forty chronic renal failure maintenance hemedialysis patients were randomly divided into four groups: hemodialysis group (HD group), high flux dialysis group (HFD group), hemodiafiltration group (H D F group), hemodialysis and absorption group (HD+AP group). The serum β2-MG levels of the four groups were determined and compared before with after the therapy. Results The difference between the serum β2-MG in HD group detected at the first day before and after the therapy was insignificant difference [( 53.49±1.15 ) mg/L vs (49.10±2.31 ) mg/L ] (P > 0.05 ). The difference between the serum β2-MG in HD group detected at the first day before and after the therapy six months later [(55.63±1.30) mg/L] was significant difference (P <0.05). The serum levels at the first day and six months later after the therapy detected in HFD group, HDF group and HD+AP group were significantly decreased compared with those of the first day before the therapy (P < 0.05 ). Furthermore, the serum β2-MG level decreased in HD+AP group was more significant than HFD group and HDF group at six months later (P <0.05). Conclusions Hemodialysis can not clear the serum β2-MG. High flux dialysis, hemodiafiltration and resin absorptive devices associated hemedialysis can clear β2-MG effectively, while resin absorptive devices associated hemodialysis has the better effection after six months.

OBJECTIVE:To prepare mesopocous molecular sieve SBA-15 surface molecularly imprinted polymer (SBA-15@MIP),and analyze the application of SBA-15@MIP in the determination of active micro-component. METHODS:Using baica-lein as the template molecule, acrylamide(AM)as the function monomer,tetrahydrofuran/ethanol(3∶2,V/V)as the polymeriza-tion solvent, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate(EGDMA)as the cross-linker,and 2,2-azobisisobutyronitrile(AIBN)as the initiator, SBA-15@MIP was synthesized on the surface of mesopocous molecular sieve SBA-15. The surface morphology and structure of the obtained polymer were characterized by TEM and FT-IR. Finally, the imprinted polymer was used as an adsorbent for solid-phase extraction (SPE) to detect baicalein in plasma samples by HPLC. RESULTS:It revealed that the well-ordered one-dimensional pore structure of SBA-15 was still preserved in the successful synthesized SBA-15@MIP,and baicalein molecule was imprinted suc-cessfully. The limit of detection(LOD)and limit of quantification(LOQ)for baicalein in plasma were 3.5 ng/ml and 11.6 ng/ml, respectively;the average recovery was 94.4%(RSD=2.9%). CONCLUSIONS:SBA-15@MIP is prepared successfully, and can be applied for the determination of active micro-component.

Objective To test the potency of hepatitis B vaccine in China. Methods Two inbred strains(DBA/1 and BALB/c) and two NIH closes-colonies of mice were typed in the H-2 region by microcy-totoxicity method and PCR. Groups of mice of the tested strains were immunized with the same hepatitis B vaccine, the titre of anti-HBsAg antibody was analyzed by microplate, and the ED50 was then estimated by Karder method for each strain. Results Significant differences were found between potency estimates de-rived from assays using different strains of mice. Conclusion It is likely that the variation of immune re-sponse to hepatitis B vaccine in mice is correlative with the H-2 haplotype. In some special case, the bet-erozygosity in H-2 region found in NIH stock could influence the accuracy in such testing even a reference preparation of hepatitis B vaccine was used. Base on our experiment, to select an appropriate NIH stocks with the H-2q haplotype for potency testing of hepatitis B vaccine in China.

In order to identify the chemical constituents of Yushu tablets comprehensively, we studied the chemical constituents of CHCl3 extract from Yushu tablets by the ultra performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-ion trap-time of flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-ESI-IT-TOF/MS). It showed that there were more than 100 compounds separated, and forty-nine peaks among these were identified on the basis of high resolution mass spectrometry data and literature data reported. Determination of twelve peaks was further confirmed by standard substances. These components assigned to the different plant sources mainly included phenylpropanoids, triterpenoids, quinones and m-trihydroxybenzene compounds. By analyzing the chemical components of CHCl3 extract from compound Chinese medicine Yushu tablets comprehensively, this study provided the foundation for studying chemical components, pharmacodynamic substance and quality control of Yushu tablets.
