Giving courses of "Tea Nutrition and Health" in Guangdong Pharmaceutical University,popularizing tea culture will play a role in promoting Guangdong tea industry and tea economics,while tea culture will also have an important impact on social harmony,national unity. In this paper,the author discusses the condition of students'elective course,course content,teaching reform and innovation,problems and improvement measures,etc. to make a few practices and experiences.

Objective To investigate the effect of different levels of positive pressure (PEEP) during one-lung ventilation on blood gas and hemodynamics in patients with thoracoscopic lung bullae resection surgery.Methods Seventy-eight patients undergoing thoracoscopic lung bullae resection surgery were divided into three groups by random number table method,26 cases in each:group Ⅰ was only given one-lung intermittent positive pressure ventilation (IPPV) after two-lung ventilation,group Ⅱ was given one-lung IPPV and PEEP 5 cmH2O (1 cmH2O =0.098 kPa) after two-lung ventilation,group Ⅲ was given one-lung IPPV and PEEP 10 cmH2O after two-lung ventilation.Blood gas and hemodynamics were recorded and compared in the supine position and lateral position two-lung ventilation,one lung ventilation 10 and 30 min among three groups.Results Oxygen saturation was maintained at 0.99-1.00 in three groups.pH value,base excess,arterial carbondioxide partial pressure (PaCO2) and HCO3-at each time point in three groups had no statistical significance (P ＞ 0.05).Arterial oxygen partial pressure (PaO2) in group Ⅱ and group Ⅲ at one-lung ventilation 10,30 min was significantly higher than that in group Ⅰ [(336.2 ± 113.2),(348.5 ± 109.7) mmHg (1 mmHg =0.133 kPa) vs.(285.0 ± 103.5) mmHg,(357.6 ± 104.0),(358.9 ±103.2) mmHg vs.(276.0 ± 107.2) mmHg] (P ＜0.05),but were within the normal range,there was no statistical difference between group Ⅱ and group Ⅲ (p ＞ 0.05).Heart rate,mean arterial pressure,left ventricular ejection time,systemic vascular resistance at each time point in three groups had no statistical significance (P ＞0.05).Stroke volume,cardiac output in group Ⅱ and group Ⅲ at one-lung ventilation 10,30 min were lower than those in supine position and lateral position two-lung ventilation and the same period in group Ⅰ (P ＜ 0.05),but were within the normal range,there were no statistical differences between group Ⅱ and group Ⅲ (p ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Two-lung ventilation after one-lung IPPV and PEEP 5 cmH2O in thoracoscopic lung bullae resection surgery can maintain satisfactory PaO2 and PaCO2,hemodynamic change is not obvious; PEEP 5 cmH2O compares with only IPPV can further improve PaO2,but PEEP 10 cmH20 can't further improve PaO2.

Objective To study the changes of the rat's hearing threshold by long-term treatment with Vitamin-C and the reason of the changes. Methods Forty-two Wistar rats were randomly divided into two groups: the treatment group was treated with water added Vit-C and the placebo group was treated with drinking water.(1)Concentrations of malondialolehyde(MDA)of the cochlea with fluorescence chromatometry.(2) Auditory sensibilities with auditory brainstem response testing.(3) The frequency of the mtDNA~(4834)bp deletion in the cochlea with polymerase chain reaction technique. Results Hearing threshold of both groups become worse with aging,and the treatment group showed the better auditory sensitivities,the less concentrations of MDA and the less frequency of mtDNA~(4834)bp deletion compare with the placebo group. Conclusions Long-term treatment with Vitamin-C could reduce the degree of hearing loss of the rats and the concentrations of MDA of the cochlea and the frequency of mtDNA~(4834)bp deletion in the cochlea.The oxygen radicals theory should be the etiology of presbyacusis.

OBJECTIVE To study the correlation of hepatitis B virus(HBV)basic core promoter(BCP) mutation with the interleukins(IL-10,IL-12),tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-?,interferon(IFN)-?,as well as HBV DNA contents in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection.METHODS(1) Project subject: 176 patients(chronic hepatitis B with mild,moderate and severe degree;liver cirrhosis,chronic fulminant and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)) with chronic hepatitis B virus infection were studied.(2) Project methods: ① The A to T mutation at nucleotide 1762 and G to A mutation at nucleotide 1764 were determined by the method of polymerase chain reaction(PCR) microplate hybridization ELISA in these patients.② The serum cytokines(IL-10,IL-12,TNF-? and IFN-?) of these patients were measured by specific-ELISA.RESULTS The serum levels of cytokines(IL-10(80.96?30.86 vs 72.11?24.19 mg/L),IL-12(41.33?15.10 vs 35.98?14.47 mg/L),TNF-?(56.04?27.05 vs 38.01?10.49 mg/L),IFN-?(19.81?12.29 vs 16.55?8.99 mg/L))and HBV DNA contents(108.2478?0.9826 vs 105.8876?1.4822copies/ml) in BCP mutant group were significantly higher than that in non-mutant group(P

Objective To study the effectiveness of intravenous Lidocaine on subjective tinnitus in the elderly, and analyze its correlation with the effectiveness of subsequently oral Carbamazepine.Methods A prospective case-control study was conducted in 120 elderly patients with subjective tinnitus, who were divided into two groups.The control group (n=60) was treated with oral Carbamazepine 0.1 g Bid for one month, and the treatment group (n=60) was treated with 2％ lidocaine by intravenous injection.Patients in the treatment group were observed on responses in tinnitus during the period with Lidocaine injections.The treatment group was further divided into the improvement subgroup and the no-improvement subgroup, according to responses to intravenous lidocaine.All the patients in the treatment group received oral carbamazepine 0.1 g Bid for one month following the intravenous lidocaine injection phase.Results In the control group, 5 patients showed marked improvement, 20 patients showed partial improvement, 33 patients showed no improvement, and 2 patients showed symptom deterioration, with an effectiveness rate of 41.7％ (25/60).In the treatment group, 6 patients showed marked improvement, 26 patients showed partial improvement, 24 patients showed no improvement, and 4 patients showed symptom deterioration, with an effectiveness rate of 53.3％ (32/60).Of the 32 patients in the improvement subgroup, 6 cases showed marked improvement, 16 cases showed partial improvement, 8 cases showed no improvement, and 2 cases showed symptom deterioration after subsequent oral Carbamazepine treatment, and the effectiveness rate was 68.8％ (22/32).Of the 28 patients in the no-improvement subgroup, 1 case showed marked improvement, 9 cases showed partial improvement, 16 cases showed no improvement, and 2 cases showed symptom deterioration, and the effectiveness rate was 35.7％ (10/28).The effectiveness rate in the improvement subgroup was higher than in the no-improvement subgroup (68.8％ vs.35.7％, x2 =6.55, P＜0.05).The effectiveness of lidocaine followed by carbamazepine was better than that of carbamazepine alone (68.8％ vs.53.3％, x2 =6.13, P＜0.05).Conclusions Oral Carbamazepine treatment following intravenous Lidocaine injection in elderly patients with subjective tinnitus has better therapeutic outcomes than treatment with oral Carbamazepine alone, but is not as effective in patients with negative responses to Lidocaine as in patients with positive responses.

AIM: To establish the hyperlipemic rat model by long-term gastric perfusion of intralipid and investigate the effects of hyperlipidemia on bone. METHODS: Eighteen SD rats were randomly divided into control group (C) and high-fat-diet group (HDF), with 9 rats per group. Rats of C group were treated orally with normal saline, and rats in HDF group were oral gavage of intralipid at dose of 5.0 mL/kg, once a day for 20 weeks. OBJECTIVE To analyze the caloric test findings of the unilateral primary horizontal and posterior semicircular canal benign paroxysmal positional vertigo(HSC-BPPV and PSC-BPPV).METHODS Caloric test were tested in 152 PSC-BPPV patients and 25 HSC-BPPV patients after Dix-Hallpike test and Roll test.RESULTS Of 152 PSC-BPPV patients 64 canal paresis(CP)were found in the abnormal side and 44 in the normal side;Of 25 HSC-BPPV patients 16 canal paresis were found in the abnormal side and 9 in the normal side.The incidence of CP in PSC-BPPV is 30.3% and the incidence of CP in HSC-BPPV is 52%.13 Patients with PSC-BPPV were found abnormal Directional Preponderance(DP)and 10 Patients with PSC-BPPV were found abnormal Directional Preponderance.CONCLUSION The incidence of CP in the abnormal side of HSC-BPPV and PSC-BPPV is more than that of the normal side.The incidence of CP in abnormal side of the HSC-BPPV is more than that of PSC-BPPV.The incidence of abnormal DP in HSC-BPPV is more than that of PSC-BPPV.

Objective To summarize the nursing cooperation during anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)reconstruction with autogenous quadurpled hamstring tendons under arthroscopic guide.Method Data of 25 cases of ACL reconstruction with autogenous quadrupled hamstring tendons under arthroscopic guide during January 2008 and December 2012 were analyzed and summarized the key points retrospectively.Result All the cases of ACL reconstruction were completed smoothly without any complication.Conclusion Excellent nursing cooperation including well-done preoperative preparation of instruments and accurate surgical cooperation are a guarantee of successful operation.

Objective To explore the damage of spiral ganglion neurons(SGNs),the protective effects of different dosages of healthy ear compound (HEC)from traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) against age-induced SGNs degeneration and its possible mechanism in spiral ganglion neurons(SGNs)of C57BL/6J mice.Methods Totally 36 C57BL/6J mice just after ablactation were randomly divided into four groups.Normal control group (n =6)drank tap water daily from ablactation to 2 months old.Ageing-related SGNs apoptosis control group(n=12)drank tap water daily from ablactation to 7 months old.High dose TCM group(n=12)at drank 3.65 g/kg/d of HEC from ablactation to 7 months old.Low dose TCM group(n=6)drank 0.91 g/kg/d of HEC from ablactation to 7 months old.The animal cochleae were immediately removed at the termination of the experiment.In each group,the cochleae of 6 animals were used for paraffin embedding,slicing and toluidine blue staining to observe neuronal morphological changes.The caspase-3 mRNA expression study was performed by real-time PCR technique in 6 cochleae of High dose TCM group and ageing-related SGNs apoptosis control group.Results The morphological structure of cochlear SGNs represented healthy and normal density in normal control group at 2 months old.In contrast,amount or density of SGNs in cochlear basilar part was significantly damaged and reduced in ageing-related SGNs apoptosis control group at 7 months old(P＜ 0.001).But the high dose TCM group at 7 months of age was similar to the normal control group at 2 months old in morphological structure,amount or density of SGNs(P＞0.05).The low dose TCM group was significantly different from other 3 groups in amount or density of SGNs (P＜0.001).However,SGNs in the middle part and apical part showed integrity in each group.In addition,the expression level of caspase-3 in the cochlea of high dose TCM group was also obviously different with age-related SGNs apoptosis control group(P＜0.01) Conclusions Ageing-related damage of SGNs in C57BL/6J mice begins from the base of cochlea and progresses towards the apex.The HEC of TCM could significantly protect SGNs against age-induced apoptosis in SGNs.The efficacy of the high dose TCM is better than that of the low dose TCM.Its SGNs protective mechanisms might be related to involving the caspase-mediated cell apoptotic pathway.
