Chinese Journal of Neurology 1999;0(06):-
Objective To study the olfactory function in Chinese patients with Parkinsons disease (PD) and its application in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of Parkinsonism Methods The thresholds of olfactory detection and identification were determined by using “five odors olfactory detection arrays” provided by Chinese Academy of Sciences for the 50 PD patients, 30 healthy controls, 30 persons with other neurological diseases, and 7 atypical Parkinsons disease patients Results The olfactory detection and identification thresholds of PD patients were significantly higher than those of the normal controls and than those with other neurological diseases But the olfactory identification threshold of PD patients was significantly higher than those with atypical Parkinsons disease The sensitivity and specificity in the olfactory test were 74 0% and 91 7%, respectively by combining the olfactory detection and identification thresholds together Conclusions The olfactory function was found significantly decreased in PD patients The olfactory test might play an important role in the diagnosis and differentiated diagnosis of PD
4.Relationships Among Cognitive Performance,Cognitive Styles and Neuroticism
Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology 1993;0(02):-
Objective: To investigate relationships among Cognitive performance, cognitive styles and Neuroticism. Methods: Experimental cognitive tests were administered to 30 Highly and 30 Lowly neurotic individuals under tightened and relaxed cognitive conditions. Results: Highly and Lowly neurotic individuals did not appear any differences in total scores, but significant differences in scores of tightened-relaxed cognitive styles.Highly Neurotic individuals mostly tend to be relaxed cognitive style, and Lowly Neurotic individuals to be tightened cognitive style. Conclusion: Neuroticism does not relate with total scores of cognitive performance under tightened and relaxed cognitive condition, but with tightened-relaxed cognitive styles.
5.Extraction of anti-thrombotic contituent from Earthworm (Pheretima)
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(05):-
AIM: To investigate the extraction of anti-thrombotic contituent from Earthworm ( Pheretima). METHODS: The prothrombin time (PT)of rabbit blood and antithrombin of 14 samples that were extracted by different methods were determined in vitro. RESULTS: The sample that was percolated with 70% alcohol and the sample that was extracted by semi-bionic method were better than ones that were extracted by other methods. CONCLUSION: It is a simple and practicable method to percolate Earthworm with 70% alcohol.
6.Using ROC curve to evaluate cut-off points of Psychological Distress Scale of Cancer Patients
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2016;32(20):1569-1572
Objective To determine the cut-off points of Psychological Distress Scale of Cancer Patients by using the ROC curve, in order to provide reference for clinical application of it. Methods A questionnaire containing both the Psychological Distress Scale of Cancer Patients and Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90) were filled by 364 cancer patients in Beijing Cancer Hospital. Later the cut-off points of the four latitudes of the Scale were evaluated by ROC curve through comparing the two scales. Results By using the latitudes of the SCL-90 scale as a reference, the areas of all the four latitudes of the Scale were:anxiety (0.815, P<0.01); depression (0.790, P<0.01); interpersonal disability (0.829, P<0.01);suspiciousness (0.670, P<0.01) respectively. The following cut-off points could result in the most ideal sensitivity and specificity: 11 for anxiety; 14 for depression; 7 for interpersonal disability and 4 for suspiciousness. Conclusions The Psychological Distress Scale of Cancer Patients can provide great values to the diagnosis of psychological problems related with anxiety, depression, and interpersonal disability, while low valuable reference for diagnosis of suspiciousness. It can provide good diagnosis value which contributes to evaluation of psychological problems of cancer patients.
7.Relationships Between Reinforcement Sensitivity, Internet Service Hobby and Pathological Internet Use in Junior Middle School Students
Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology 1993;0(02):-
Objective: To explore the relationships between Reinforcement sensitivity, Internet service hobby and Pathological internet use. Methods: 197 junior middle school students were administrated to complete Behavioral Inhibition System and Behavioral Activation Scale(Chinese edition), Adolescents Internet Service Hobby Questionnaire, and Adolescents Pathological Internet Use Scale. Results: ①For Internet service hobby and PIUs, the Social hobby and the Entertainment hobby wre somewhat correlated to PIUs positively; however, the Information hobby and the Bargains hobby were somewhat correlated to PIUs negatively, but not significantly; ②For Reinforcement sensitivity and PIUs, Path analysis suggests, high BAS individuals were easily involved in the PIU, but high BIS individuals were not. Conclusion: Reinforcement sensitivity is a significantly predictor of PIUs, but the Internet service hobby is not.
