Laryngeal interarytenoid neurilemmomas (LIN) is a benign encapsulated tumor originating from the schwann cells lining nerve fibers. Even though LINs are extremely rare in incidence, they could present with potential threat to the airway and thus requiring prompt diagnosis and treatment. Here, we report two cases of LINs. Both patients underwent excision of the tumor via microlaryngeal endoscopic procedures and recovered well postoperatively without complications. No recurrence was observed postoperatively on routine follow-up after 14 months.

Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 2009;16(4):212-214
Objective: In acute pancreatitis, traditional treatment insists fasting on purpose to avoid activation of proteolytic enzymes and pancreatic enzyme secretion. The aim of our study was to evaluate the efficacy and feasibility of early oral feeding as compared to traditional fasting in patients with mild acute pancreatitis. Methods: Seventy-two patients were randomized to the two treatment groups, fasting or early oral feeding. The inclusion criteria were pancreas amylase≥3times above normal, onset of abdominal pain within 48h, acute physiological and chronic health evaluation-II score<8 and C-reactive protein(CRP)<150 mg/L. Measures were amylase, systemic inflammatory response, length of hospital stay. Results: The groups were comparable with respect to age, sex, etiology, APACHE II, time from onset of pain and amylase at admission. No significant differences were seen between the groups concerning levels of amylase, CRP, leukocytes, abdominal pain or number of gastrointestinal symptoms. The length of hospital stay time was significantly shorter in the oral feeding group (13 vs. 17 days; P<0.05).Conclusion: Early oral feeding would not exacerbate disease process. The differences between treatment groups for amylase or systemic inflammatory response were not obvious. In mild acute pancreatitis, early oral feeding was feasible and safe and may accelerate recovery.

Objective To evaluate the body burden of Cadmium(Cd) in normal children from Shenyang city, and to analyze the effect of Cd on kidney.Furthermore,to investigate the influences of living factors on the level of Cd in children,so as to make recommendations for children's health. Methods The subjects was composed of 1 170 healthy children recruited from 0 to 17 years old by cluster random sampling method. They were divided into three groups(0-5 years old group,6-11 years old group,12-17 years old group).Questionnaires were used to obtain essential information about age, gender, weight, socioeconomic status, medication, and so on.Second morning urine samples were collected to make routine analyses, urinary Cd(Cdob),urine microalbumin(MALB) and α1-microglobulin(α1-MG).Results 1.A total of 1 070 children including 544 males and 526 females were enrolled.2.The concentration of Cdob increased with age,in agreement with the level of urinary Cd corrected by urine specific gravity (Cdsg). However, the level of Cd in urine corrected by urinary creatinine(Cdcr) presented the opposite status with the age increasing.3.Cdcr and urine MALB adjusted by urinary creatinin(MALBcr) revealed a positive correlation(rs =0.45,P < 0.01).4.Preference values for Cdob and Cdsg,Cdcr respectively were:0-5 years old <0.56 μg/L,<0.83 μg/L and <2.17 μg/g Cr;6-11 years old <0.65 μg/L,<1.01 μg/L and <1.23 μg/g Cr;12-17 years old <0.74 μg/L,<1.15 μg/L and < 1.25 μg/g Cr.Conclusions There is an age-dependent cumulative increases in Cdob.Although renal damage was not found in this study, the uptake of Cd should be reduced as much as possible and it is necessary to strengthen the follow-up study of Cdob in body burden.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2012;(12):930-931
Lipase of 54/923 cases increased in viral hepatitis group with an abnormal rate of 5.85%.Lipase level of viral hepatitis patients gradually increased with the rising total bilirubin levels, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.0l).Among 54 viral hepatitis cases with elevated lipase,11 died. The sustained abnormal rate of lipase (6/11) of the death group was statistically significant vs.4.65% (2/43) of the survival group(P <0.01).Thus viral hepatitis could be concomitant with elevated lipase and elevated lipase might promote the progression of liver disease. The continuing rise of lipase is correlated with the severity and prognosis of the patients.

Objective This study aims to investigate the association of apoB/apoA-1 ratio with insulin resistance (IR) in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) . Methods A total of 224 patients with NAFLD and 166 healthy subjects were enrolled as NAFLD group and control group. Weight, height and blood pressure were recorded. Serum levels of fasting blood glucose (FPG), insulin (Fins), lipids, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) were measured. Homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) indices were calculated. Results Compared with control group, NAFLD group had higher apoB/apoA-1 ratio (0.76 ± 0.28 vs 0.61 ± 0.26) and HOMA-IR (2.43 ± 1.68 vs 1.86 ± 1.61) . Spearman correlation analysis showed that in NAFLD group, HOMA-IR positively correlated with age, body mass index (BMI), triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c), apoB/apoA-1 ratio (r =0.34, P < 0. 05) and HbA1c, and negatively correlated with high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c) . Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that apoB/apoA-1 ratio was still associated with HOMA-IR in NAFLD group after adjustment for age and BMI. Conclusion The apoB/apoA-1 ratio is closely associated with IR in patients with NAFLD. ApoB/apoA-1 ratio may play a role in the development of IR in NAFLD.

Cancer Research and Clinic 2019;31(1):69-72
Cervical cancer is the most common malignant tumor in gynecology, and the cervical cancer patients in China up to 131500, accounting for about 28.8%of the new cases of cervical cancer in the world. In recent years, with the improvement of medical standards and the enhancement of medical education, more cervical cancer patients have been given treatment opportunities. However, the unstandardized cervical screening and false negative, hysterectomy in high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia without diagnostic conization and other reasons result in the unexpected discovery of cervical cancer. The article mainly reviews the causes and remedial measures of unexpected discovery of cervical cancer.
