Objective To observe clinical effect of treating pelvic effusion with twenty five tastes podophyllum pill combined with antibiotics, microwave. Methods 182 cases patients with inflammatory pelvic effusion were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group was treated with twenty five tastes podophyllum pill combined with antibiotics、microwave, and the control group was treated with antibiotics combined with microwave. The absorption, symptoms disappeared and cure situations of pelvic effusion were observed between control group and treatment group after treatment.Results The complete absorption, symptoms disappeared and cure situations of pelvic effusion in the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control. The total effective rate of the treatment group was 100%, and the total effective rate of the control group was 87.5%, which has a significant difference (P<0.05) .Conclusion The treatment of twenty five tastes podophyllum pill combined with antibiotics, microwave on pelvic effusion is better than western medicine.

The treatment of vascular malformations has been a difficult clinical subject. At present, the main therapeutic methods include embolization/sclerotherapy, surgical excision, laser treatment, etc. However, it is often difficult to obtain a satisfactory clinical effect. As it can induce the vascular endothelial denudation resulting in protein degeneration, ethanol embolization can obtain the effect of complete obliteration of the diseased vascular lumen. Although ethanol embolization of vascular malformations has already achieved satisfactory clinical effect, the fear of cardiac and pulmonary accidents has limited the application of this technique in clinical practice. This paper aims to make a comprehensive review concerning the effect of ethanol embolization for vascular malformations on the cardiopulmonary functions.

Objective To study the anti-inflammation and analgesic action s of Guanjiekang Tablet and to observe its toxicity.Methods Rat pedal swelling experiment,rat capillary permeability experiment,mouse acetic-acid-induced twisting experiment and mouse acute toxicity experiment were carried out in this study.Results Guanjiekang Tablet could obviously reduce the twisting times in mice(P 0.05).The LD50 of oral dose in mice is 1.74(g/kg).Conclusi ons Guanjiekang Tablet has good anti-inflammation and analgesic actions,but also has some toxicity.

Objective To discuss the prevention and treatment of hemorrhage during or after minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). Methods Clinical data of 12 cases of hemorrhage during or after minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy from July 2005 to October 2005 in this hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Results Intraoperative hemorrhage occurred in 10 cases. The bleeding was stopped by pressure in 6 cases and a re-operation of open nephrolithotomy 5 days later was required in 4 cases. Postoperative hemorrhage was seen in 2 cases. The bleeding was successfully stopped by endoscopic electrocoagulation in 1 case and by interventional highly-selected embolization on the 4th day after operation in 1 case. Conclusions Prevention should be put first for hemorrhage during or after minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy. Accurate puncture and skillful tunnel expansion are the key to minimize the hemorrhage. Interventional embolization should be the first choice in case of massive or repeated bleeding.

Objective To present the authors' initial experience of treating auricular arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) with ethanol embolization and to assess the clinical effectiveness of this therapeutic method. Methods Twenty-two patients with AVMs were enrolled in this study. Through local puncturing or super-selective catheterization the absolute ethanol, or diluted alcohol (based on the pattern of the AVMs), was manually injected into the abnormal vascular plexus of the auricular lesion. The clinical results were estimated with physical examination or angiography at intervals of 3 ～ 4 month, and telephone questionnaire was made at monthly intervals for all patients. Results Thirty-eight ethanol embolization procedures were performed, the amount of ethanol used during the procedure ranged from 4 ml to 65 ml. After the treatment the clinical symptoms were improved, which were manifested as healing of the ulceration, stop of bleeding, disappearing or alleviation of tinnitus. Angiographic examination showed that the abnormal vascular lesion was completely vanished in 9 cases, decreased by 50% -75% in 8 cases and decreased less than 50% in remaining 5 cases. The common complications included irreversible local necrosis and vesiculation. Conclusion For the treatment of auricular AVMs ethanol embolization is an effective and safe method, which might become the therapy of first choice.

Prosthesis for femoral head surface replacement was designed. Between January 2002 and December 2005,28 patients underwent femoral head surface replacement in Anyang People's Hospital. The diameter of the normal femoral head was determined by CT,and the prosthesis was selected according to the measured value ±1 mm. With the muscle gap approach,the center of the femoral head was determined according to the measured distance between the femoral head center and the culminated point of the round ligament fossa based on the mark of the culminated point of the round ligament pit. Additionally,the diameter of the femoral head was measured again to ensure the precise match of the prosthesis and acetabulum. X-ray films at 24-48 months show no loosening or dislocation of the prosthesis,which was well matched with acetabulum. Furthermore,the joint space did not remarkably change. The mean score was 63 before operation and 91.5 after operation respectively according to Harris sore. The successful rate is 92.86% (excellent in 23cases,good in 3,and improved in 2). The results show that femoral head surface replacement is an effective method for young patients with avascular necrosis of the femoral head at the stage of ARCO HI.

Objective: To adjust the distance between SD sequence and ATG in the same expressive plasmid pLX1 to enhance expression of heterologous bFGF gene in E. coli. Methods: Adjusting the different distance between SD sequence and ATG by Klenow and Mung Bean Nuclease. SDS PAGE and Western blot showed the expressed protein bFGF in E.coli. bFGF proteins were purified by HPHIC, HPGFC and HAC. Biological activity was examined by MTT. Results: Recombinant plasmids pLX2, pLX3 were obtained and the expressive levels were 8.03%, 9.9% respectively. Also the purified bFGF was obtained by HPHIC, HPGFC, HAC and its ED 50 was 2.29 ng/ml. Conclusion: Increasing the bFGF gene dosage by adjusting the distance between SD sequence and ATG could increase the expression level of a desired protein.
