China Pharmacy 2016;27(20):2861-2863
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the role of clinical pharmacists in the therapy for sever acute pancreatitis induced by hy-perlipidemia(HL-SAP)patient. METHODS:Clinical pharmacists participated in the therapy for a pregnant patient with HL-SAP af-ter cesarean section, assisted physicians to optimize therapy plan through analyzing the disease condition according clinical guide and relevant literatures. Clinical pharmacists suggested to decrease atorvastatin 20 mg,qd to 10 mg,qd in order to avoid the risk of rhabdomyolysis and liver injury. When patient’s hemogram kept stable and infection had been controlled, clinical pharmacists suggested antibiotics de-escalation treatment:Levofloxacin injection 0.5 g,ivgtt,qd+Metronidazole injection 0.5 g,ivgtt,q12 h in-stead of meropenem. RESULTS:Physicians adopted the suggestions of clinical pharmacists. The patient was recovered and transfer to gastroenterology department 15 d later. CONCLUSIONS:Clinical pharmacists provide pharmaceutical care for HL-SAP patient after cesarean section, and assist physicians to formulate therapy plan so as to reduce the incidence of ADR effectively and guaran-tee the safe and effective use of drugs.
4.Molecular ecology of microbial communities in dental plaques of different caries-susceptible children
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(25):4043-4050
BACKGROUND:Children teeth filed with glass ionomer cement are stil susceptible with secondary caries, which is in close relationship with complex microbial community in dental plaque on the surface of glass ionomer cement. Traditional microbial methods are incapable of getting important information towards dental plaque microbes. OBJECTIVE:To analyze microbial community structure and numerical level of caries-induced microbes in dental plaque on the surface of glass ionomer cement for different caries-susceptible children. METHODS:Twenty-four children (age: 3-5 years) were divided into the caries-free, caries-positive, and caries-active children groups by the decayed, missing and filed index. With eight individuals in each group, their dental plaques were sampled for microbial community analysis. Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis was employed to make clear the microbial community diversity and species identity in dental plaque of the caries-free, caries-positive, and caries-active children groups. Fluorescentin situ hybridization was used to investigate the numerical level of the caries-induced microbeStreptococcus spp. Quantitative PCR was carried out to analyze relative quantity ofStreptococcusmutans in total bacteria. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Compared with the caries-positive and caries-active children groups, microbial community diversity among samples was significantly higher in the caries-free group. Microbes abound in the caries-positive and caries-active groups might act important roles in the development of caries.Streptococcus spp. and Actinomyces spp. might be important caries-induced microbes in the caries-active group. The ratios ofStreptococcus spp. andStreptococcus mutans in total bacteria were significantly higher in the caries-free group than those in the caries-free and caries-positive groups. In summary, molecular ecology technologies can wel reflect caries-related complex microbial community in dental plaque.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(30):4838-4844
BACKGROUND:Glass ionomer cements have been gradual y employed in many aspects of dental clinical field. However, low mechanical strength and antibacterial effect restrict its further applications. OBJECTIVE:To proportional y explore the effects of titanium dioxide nanoparticles on the mechanical strength and antibacterial effect of traditional glass ionomer cements. METHODS:Base on different mass fractions of titanium dioxide nanoparticles in glass ionomer cements, al the glass ionomer cement samples were divided into control group (no titanium dioxide nanoparticles), low titanium dioxide group (containing 3%titanium dioxide nanoparticles), medium titanium dioxide group (containing 6%titanium dioxide nanoparticles), and high titanium dioxide group (containing 9%titanium dioxide nanoparticles). A universal material testing machine and a hardness tester were used to examine flexural strength, compressive strength, and surface hardness of glass ionomer cement samples, respectively. Glass ionomer cement samples were immerged into the artificial saliva, and fluoride release was measured by using a fluoride ion selective electrode. The direct contact test was used to investigate antibacterial effect of glass ionomer cement samples towards Streptococcus mutans. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Compared with the control group, few titanium dioxide nanoparticles (low and medium titanium dioxide group) could significantly improve flexural strength, compressive strength and surface hardness of glass ionomer cement samples (P<0.05), and high titanium dioxide nanoparticles (high titanium dioxide group) significantly decreased flexural strength, compressive strength and surface hardness (P<0.05). The introduction of titanium dioxide nanoparticles had little effect on fluorine release behavior of glass ionomer cement samples, and greatly improved antibacterial effect of glass ionomer cement samples towards Streptococcus mutans.
6.Comparison of fluoride release and solubility for different glass ionomer cements
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(16):2480-2486
BACKGROUND:Modified glass ionomer cements improve the mechanical properties, abrasion resistance and beauty of traditional glass ionomer cements, and therefore they have been gradualy adopted in many fields of oral clinical application. However, it is not clear that the fluoride release behavior and soluble characteristics. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the fluoride release behavior and soluble characteristics of four glass ionomer cements in artificial saliva: Fuji II tranditional type, Fuji Plus hydroxyapatite modified type, Fuji IX metal modified type, and Fuji II LC light-curing resin modified type. METHODS: For each glass ionomer cement, cylindrical specimens were made and immerged into the artificial saliva. Fluoride release within 0-28 days was measured by using fluoride ion selective electrode. The weight of specimens was measured by using an analytical balance to further calculate the solubility. SPSS and Origin software were used for statistical analysis and nonlinear regression analysis, respectively. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:For each glass ionomer cement, the fluoride release was peaked at the first day, decreased rapidly for the folowing several days, and then kept relatively stable at the end. The daily amount and accumulation of fluoride of Fuji II LC were significantly higher than those of other three glass ionomer cements (P < 0.01). The formula (Y=a + b* t0.5 + c* t) could better simulate the variation of fluoride release accumulations, and the fluoride release accumulations were in approximate proportional relationship with solubility. Fuji II LC reached the maximum fluoride release accumulations and the maximum ratio of fluoride release accumulations to solubility.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2013;12(8):622-624
Objective To detect the effects of glucocorticoids on the expression of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) on CD14+ monocytes in peripheral blood from patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and explore the relationship between inherent immunity deficiency and the pathogenesis of COPD.Methods A total of 30 hospitalized acute exacerbations of COPD (AECOPD) patients from 2012 January to March were divided them into 2 groups of mild-moderate (A,n =15) and severe-critical (B,n =15) according to pulmonary functions. The same basic treatment (anti-infection,oxygen inhalation, bronchial smooth muscle relaxing and cough relief) was administered. And glucocorticoids were added to Group B.Two weeks later,AECOPD achieved a clinical remission and it was designated as a stable COPD group.Another 30 healthy cases over the same period were selected as control group.Flow cytometry was used to measure the relative mean fluorescence intensity (rmfi) and relative positive cell percent (rpcp) of TLR4 onr CD14 positive peripheral blood monocytes.Conventional pulmonary function test (FEV1 percentage of predicted value,FEV1/FVC value) was performed. Results The value of rmfi for TLR4 of AECOPD group was 5.14 ±0.26 and rpcp (4.24 ±0.17)% and they were similar to those of COPD group [4.46 ±0.24 and (3.49 ± 0.24) % respectively, all P > 0.05].AECOPD and COPD groups were both significantly lower than normal control group [13.75 ±0.28 and (10.25 ±0.13)% respectively, all P <0.01].The rmfi of TLR4 of Group B was 3.12 ±0.15 and rpcp (3.17 ±0.10)%.And both were significantly lower than those of Group A [5.48 ±0.23 and (5.12 ±0.20)% respectively, all P <0.01].The value of rmfi for TLR4 of Group B before glucocorticoid treatment was 3.12 ±0.15 and rpcp (3.17 ±0.10)%.And both were significantly lower than those of later glucocorticoid treatment [5.24 ± 0.25 and (5.44 ± 0.19) % respectively, all P < 0.01].Both values were significantly lower than those of normal control group [13.75 ± 0.28 and (10.25 ± 0.13) % respectively, all P < 0.01].The expression of TLR4 on CD14 + monocytes in peripheral blood of AECOPD patients was positively correlated with FEV1 percentage of predicted value(r1 =0.824,P<0.001) and FEV1/FVC (r2 =0.756,P<0.001).Conclusions Innate immunodeficiency plays an important role in the pathogenesis of COPD.And the expression of TLR4 is an important indicator for disease severity.Glucocorticoids treat COPD through inhibiting airway inflammation response and enhancing defensive function of innate immune system.
9.The study of correlative affecting factors on re-establishing stereopsis of surgically aligned adult concomitant strabismus
Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2015;(11):1705-1707,1708
To analyze the effect of pre-surgical status on the post-surgical stereopsis in surgically aligned adult con-comitant strabismus.By using Titmus and Randot stereo tests,we measured near stereo acuity of 99 adults who had constant exotropia and were successfully aligned by surgery.A covariance analysis showed that the post-surgical stereo acuity was significantly determined by the type of strabismus (i.e.,whether that's intermittent or not;P =0.001),the duration of pre-surgical exotropia (P =0.002)and the year on-set (P =0.048)but not by the pre-surgical deviation (P =0.133).We conclude that the stereopsis of adult concomitant strabismus can be reestab-lished by surgery, while the extent of such an improvement is determined by the type of strabismus, the duration of pre-surgical exotropia and the year on-set of patients.
10.Down-regulation of miR-31-5p in human acute myeloid leukemia
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2017;37(4):537-542
Objective To study the expression and roles of miR-31-5p in acute myeloid leukemia (AML).Methods miR-31-5p in AML patients were evaluated by real-time PCR;THP-1 cells were transfected with the miR-31-5p mimic and control, respectively. The effects of over-expression of miR-31-5p were examined by CCK-8 and FACS analysis;Dual-luciferase and Western blot were performed to detect target gene HuR expression. The effects of knock-down of HUR were also examined by CCK-8 and FACS analysis. Results miR-31-5p was down-regulated in AML patients compared to the normal control.Over-expression of miR-31-5p in THP-1 cells reduces cell proliferation and accelerates monocytic differentiation.miR-31-5p could target HuR, and knock-down of HuR inhibits cell proliferation and attenuates monocytic differentiation in THP-1 cells. Conclusions miR-31-5p may regulate AML cell proliferation and monocytic differentiation by targeting HuR.
