Journal of Practical Stomatology 2009;25(4):479-481
Objective:To evaluate the effect of TiN coating on retentive force of conus telescopic crowns after repeated insertion/separation tests. Methods: Fourteen pairs of standard metal specimens fabricated by precision Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Lathe were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, seven pairs in each group. The external surfaces of inner crowns and internal surfaces of outer crowns of experimental group were coated with a 2.0 μm titanium nitride (TiN) by multi-arc ion plating method. The group without titanium nitride coating was served as control. The retentive forces of two group telescopic crowns was investigated by repeated insertion/separation tests. Statistical analysis of group t-test was performed by SPSS 13.0 software package. Results: The results demonstrated that the initial retentive force of titanium nitride group in our study were lower than that of uncoated titanium nitride group. The retentive forces of two groups gradually decreased depending on the number of insertion/separation cycles and the rate of retention attenuation was found to be statistically significant. It was also shown that the retentive force of titanium nitride coating group began to decrease after 3 000 cycles and declined slowly not only before 3 000 cycles but also after 7 000 cycles. Conclusion: Titanium nitride coating deposited on external surface of inner crowns and internal surface of outer crowns can significantly decrease retention attenuation rate of conus telescopic crowns and maintain persistent retentive force.

Objective To analyze the short-term treatment effects and adverse effect on intermediate or advanced lung cancer by means of transbronchial arterial chemoembolization. Methods 68 patients were included in this study. First bronchial arteriography was performed to identify the tumor-feeding branch, and super-catheterize it. After CBP, EPI and 5-Fu was infused, embolization with gelatin sponge was carried out, chemoembolization was reperformed at 4~6 weeks intervals, 136 times of chemoembolization were done in 68 cases. Results The tumor blush of 51 patients stained obviously ,the feeding arteries with the second treatment decreased obviously. In 68 patients, the overall response rate was 82.3 %, the clinical beneficial rate was 97.0 %. The main side effect was myelosuppression, especially granulocytopenia, which was similar to that of conventional intravenous chemotherapy. No other severe adverse effect was seen. Conclusions Transbronchial arterial chemoembolization by selective tumor-feeding arteries catheterization has good short-term effect and clinic beneficial rate in the treatment of intermediate or advanced lung cancer, but the long-term treatment effects will be studied in the future.

Chinese Journal of Digestion 1996;0(S1):-
The expression of nm23-H1 and p53 genes were studied with ABC immunohistochemical method in 54 cases of gastric cancer and 57 cases of colorectal cancer. The result showed that the expression of nm23-H1 was 72.2% in gastric cancer and 64.9% in colorectal cancer, respectively. No significant difference was found between the expression of this gene and lymph node metastasis of the cancers. The mutant p53 protein expression was 53.7% and 52.6% in gastric and colorectal cancers, respectively. Although it was not correlated with lymph node metastasis, its expression was significantly higher in cancers with distant metastases, suggesting that the mutant p53 protein expression may be indicative of poor prognosis in gastrointestinal cancers.

Journal of China Medical University 2009;(10):727-729
Objective To study the effects of zinc on the expression of zinc transporter-7( ZnT-7) in the proliferation of the rat growth plate chondrocytes. Methods Growth plate chondrocytes were isolated from rih cartilage of Wistar rat. The cell3 were treated with zinc chelating agent N, N, N', N'-tetrakis (2-pyridylmethyl )ethylene-diamine (TPEN) of different concentration (0,5,10 and 20 μmol/L) for 12 horns. The expression of rat growth plate chondrocytes specificity collagen type Ⅱ was detected by immunohisloehemistiy. The localization of ZnT-7 was checked by immunofluorescent staining. Real-time RT-PCR and Western blot were used to measure the expression level of ZNT-7 in the cell. Results The result of the immunofluorescence showed that ZnT-7 located in the Golgi apparatus. The expression level of ZnT-7 was slightly higher in the cells treated with 5 μ-mol/L TPEN than the control group, while it was lower in the cells treated with 10 or 20 μmol/L TPEN than the control group. Conclusion ZnT-7 locates in Golgi apparatus and maintains the zinc ion stabilization in the condition of the zinc depletion.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1989;0(06):-
AIM: The purpose of the study was to examine colon cancer cell lines to determine whether Stat5b/Survivin plays an important role in the process of apoptosis in colon cancer cells. METHODS: Protein lysates were extracted from colon cancer cells. Human colon cancer cell line HT29 was transfected with Stat5b antisense oligonucleotide mediated by liposome. MTT assay was used to measure the proliferation. Flow cytometry was applied to analyze the cell cycle and apoptosis. EMSA was used to detect the activity of Stat5. Western blotting was applied to measure the expression of Stat5, p-Stat5, cyclin D1, Survivin, Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL. RESULTS: Targeting of Stat5 using antisense oligonucleotide against the translation site resulted in apoptosis and downregulaed the expressions of Stat5, p-Stat5, cyclin D1 and Survivin, but not Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL. CONCLUSION: Constitutive activation of Stat5 is associated with the carcinogenesis of colon cancer cells. Blocking of Stat5 signaling inhibits the expression of Survivin and induces apoptosis in colon cancer cells.
