Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(12):-
To discuss the significant application for the membrane science and technology in the development of pharmaceutical industry of Chinese materia medica(CMM) in such aspects as obtaination of integrated effctive substances, transformation of traditional technology, reduction of power consumption, product safety, sewage treatment, and technological innovation. To analyze the major restrictions on the industrialization of CMM's membrane science and propose the corresponding measures.Currently, the development of macromolecule science and technology and the implementation of environmental-friendly strategy have advanced the technology of membrane to a new stage and thus offer the insurance to the integration of extraction, separation, concentration, and purification in traditional pharmaceutical production of CMM.Meanwhile, the technolgy of membrane separation has been widely used in the separation, concentration, and purification of macromolecule, which bears similar characteristics with traditional CMM.It is also a proof that the technology of membrane will improve the efficency of traditional CMM production when it is used in the pharmaceutical industry of CMM.

3.Effect of Pretreatment on Ultra-filtration Membrane Separation of Huoxue Tongluo Extract
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2006;0(02):-
Objective To investigate chitosan flocculating and other pretreatments of Huoxue Tongluo extract and their effects on the membrane flux and fouling degree of membrane. Methods Based on the index related to the total sinomenine reserved in liquid and fouling degree of membrane, compared to other pretreatments, discuss the function of chitosan used as flocculation and the effect on membrane separation by orthogonal test. Results The reservation of the total sinomenine was best by means of chitosan flocculation and the smallest fouling degree of membrane was it too, compared with other pretreatments as decompress filtration, high-speed-centrifugation, low-speed-centrifugation and decolored by active carbon. Conclusion Chitosan flocculating is the best pretreatment method of Huoxue Tongluo extract, and the suggested operation condition is that the Huoxue Tongluo extract’s temperature is 50 ℃, pH=5 and add 1% chitosan 30 mL/L.
4.Effects of herbal compatibility on hyperforin in Hypericum perforatum L.
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(06):-
AIM:To explore the effect on stability of hyperforin with different medicinal herbs and the changes of hyperforin content in herb combinations with Hypericum perforatum L.(HP).METHODS:Several common antidepressant medicinal herbs were selected separately to match with HP.The herbal samples consisted of HP group,HP with Curcuma wenyujin Y.H.Chen et C.Ling group,HP with Curcuma longa.L.group,HP with Epimedium brevicornum Maxim group and HP with Wuling powder(WY)group. The contents of hyperforin with each group were determined by reverse phase HPLC.RESULTS:The rates of extraction and retention of hyperforin in HP with Curcuma wenyujin Y.H.Chen et C.Ling group and HP with Curcuma longa.L.group were significantly lower than that of HP group. There were no obvious differences in the extraction rates of the HP group,HP with Epimedium brevicornum Maxim group and HP with WY group. The retention rate of hyperforin in HP group with WY powder was higher than that of HP group. The retention rate of hyperforin in HP with Curcuma wenyujin Y.H.Chen et C.Ling group, was lower than that of HP group.CONCLUSION:The results show that compatibility of HP with traditional Chinese medicine have effects on the stability of active herbal component.
5.Establishment of scientific principles on evaluation system for compound Chinese materia medica extraction and separation
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(06):-
Compound composition of several natural products including plants, animals, and minerals. In the different needs of Chinese medicine research and application, different extraction and separation methods have been chosen, however, these technologies lacked of scientific and reasonable evaluation criteria because most of these technologies stem from other disciplines, which is the main reason for limited application of the method in Chinese medicine. So the key scientific issue is to establish the quality evaluation system of extraction and separation technology in line with the modern medicine. This article aims to establish the scientific principles of evaluation system for extraction and isolation of Chinese herbal compound.
6.Current situation of traditional Chinese medicine culture propaganda in the field of basic public health
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2021;28(3):478-480
This review focuses on the current situation of traditional Chinese medicine culture propaganda in the field of basic public health and summarizes that traditional Chinese medicine culture propaganda in this field adopts health lectures, household surveys, books, videos, billboards, village radio and other forms. The existing single forms of publicity lead to poor awareness of traditional Chinese medicine knowledge and nonsufficient service in the treatment with traditional Chinese medicine. It is suggested to build and improve the health publicity system, mobilize the residents' senses in an all-round way, and promote nationwide body health.

Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2001;32(4):306-308
To characterize the ultra-fine particles of Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC., Phellodendron chinense Schneid and the ERMIAO PILL*, a compounded preparation of the above two drugs, for the purpose to observe a deeper view on their physico-chemical properties. Methods By comparing their particle size, porosity and specific surface area with light and scanning electron microscope. Results The size of the ultra-fine particles were more uniform in size, 90% of which were under 20 μm, their specific area were increased by 60% ~ 190% and bulk density were around 0.42 g/cm3, and the great majority of the plant cells were broken as compared with the conventional coarse powder. Conclusion Both A. lancea and P. chinense together with their combined preparation became smaller in particle size, more uniformly distributed with increased specific surface area and broken cell wall.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2012;47(2):233-8
The aim of the study is to investigate the effects of concentration, intestinal segments, pH, inhibitors of proteins (P-gp), Na(+)-dependent glucose transporter (SGLT1) on the intestinal absorption of berberine, and to compare intestinal absorption of berberine in combinations. With phenol red as the indicator, in situ single pass intestinal perfusion (SPIP) model was used and intestinal absorption of pure berberine at concentrations of 36.70, 46.17 and 92.33 microg x mL(-1), simulated system of HLJDT (mixture of berberine, baicalin and geniposide), HLJDT with the concentration of berberine 92.33 microg x mL(-1) in perfusion solution of different intestinal segments (duodenum, jejunum, ileum, and colon) were determined by HPLC in combination with diode array detection (DAD). The results indicated that Ka values ofberberine at different concentrations had little significant difference among that obtained after perfusing via duodenum, jejunum, ileum and colon indicating that the absorption of berberine was mainly the passive diffusion. It was also suggested that SGLT1 and P-gp might exert some effects on the absorption of berberine. Ka and Peff values of berberine in a mixture of pure compounds and HLJDT for different intestine segments of rat showed an increasing tendency and was significantly different (P < 0.05) indicating that berberine in a mixture of pure compounds and HLJDT was assimilated better in small intestine. These results indicate that the intestinal absorption of berberine may be affected by compatibility of compounds. Additionally, berberine has wide absorption window and better absorption in colon.
